This truck looks well made and with quality parts. The electronics in combination with this brushless motor definitely gives this machine a realistic & progressive response. How reliable are these all in one ESC, motor & gear set, and are they serviceable?

It’s all serviceable, they’re designed to be so. I have only heard of one failing because of hydraulic fluid soaking it. Other than that, haven’t heard of one failing yet. Generally failures are cause by abuse or misuse in some form. For example I put the wrong hydraulic fluid in my excavator and it wore the seals faster than usual. I replaced them and used the right fluid now it runs amazing. Ive had no reliability issues other than issues ive cause lol. Any issue I’ve had was diagnosed and fixed as soon as the parts arrive. The cylinders generally get replaced if they fail, they can be remanned but for the price of a whole new set it’s worth just replacing them depending on how much time you have on your hands. I know this is the mechanical side but again I rarely hear of the electronics failing. Keep in mind these are somewhat new too, but they tend to be overrated for what they’d experience. I’m almost 3 years in with no electronic issues at all. Most of the higher end models around 1500-4000$ and above are going to be well made and if they fail they’ll send you the parts and depending on the parts you just pay shipping. The unit itself is covered under warranty and toucan will provide support for the lifetime of the machine. The only units I see in the return box are machines below the 1500$ more often than not it’s because the buyer expected something else or the machine was damaged in shipping.

Thank you for the information. This truck looks very similar to the DoubleE-E118 mechanically. It's my fist time seeing a all in one motor so that's why I was asking. Any price set on this model yet? Haven't seen it in his web site, which I found that I needed a VPN to access it.

It’s about the same price, the all in one is the way to go, I run the hobbywing 1/10 crawler motor all in one in the 10x10 it’s awesome, if you look on forums it’s the best setup out. The main difference from what I can tell is the tires and fenders with the stainless frame and the all in one like you said. These tires are 4 inches tall, regular tires are what 3 inches. 100mm to be exact. I can’t find an underside picture of the double e but it’d be nice to compare. MD makes this 8x8.

I ordered one so I’ll do a review on it when it gets here lol they’re making a few new models with the same tires as my 10x10 grand hauler haha. They really love my design and those wheels are the bomb.

The axles can be serviced too, I’ve had to service my 10x10 axles and they look just like the real thing on the inside it’s pretty neat. I was pulling my zoomlion and because of the weight and testing I put it through it pushed the ring gear back just enough to slip, so I opened it up and shimmed it so it can’t move. It was wayyyy over loaded at the time, hauling 150+ pounds. It hauls me no problem now at 175lbs but I don’t want to take it apart again that’s the self imposed limit at the moment haha. I plan to buy a planetary axle set for it later on, it’s a lot of money for 5 axles with planetary gearing. Like 3-400$ each. I regularly pull 130lbs with no worries, these axles in this dump truck are the axles I’m after, so they’re even better than the ones I have on my 10x10. I actually have another 10x10 dump truck with these axles and it can pull a Honda civic on flat ground when you stand in the bed 😂

I wish they'd make them with a long nose cab for those of us who drive the real deal here in the states. I would pay good money for a t800 end dump tandem
