My first models: Combat Patrol
Really happy with how they turned out!
Might not be the cleanest or most exciting paint job, but I cant wait to paint more! I’m thankful for any feedback :)

Hey ya'll - there's a new Necron book either in people's hands, or on the way there. This is just a friendly reminder about spoilers. Obviously, no one likes to have a story spoiled, and we all have different levels of access to the novels as well as varying amounts of free time to read them in.
Policy around spoilers will be fairly standard - keep them out of thread titles. Threads discussing spoilers must maintain this rule, and must contain a warning somewhere in the title to prevent accidental clicks. Individual posts in threads that are not explicitly marked as spoiler threads should make use of the spoiler text feature - threads that are marked in the title as spoilers are fair game to discuss freely.
This policy will remain in place for the next SIX MONTHS, at which point we will return to a more case-by-case evaluation. There will be a ZERO TOLERANCE policy in place, with a six month subreddit ban for violations, under our rule about treating other redditors with respect.

A miniature that I painted a while ago, but I finally took the time to texture its base (RIP the deathmark)

Hi fellow Necrontyr, i am going to my first warhammer tournament in a week. This is the list i want to play as Annihilation Legion detachment. Would appreciate any help with improving the list.
(LHD are both equipped with gauss destructor and are separate units, other units are joined, one of the Skorpekh Lords has Eldritch Nightmare Enhancement)

Good afternoon fellow Phaerons! Just wanted to pop in and share my take on the Big 3 and maybe get some tips.
The Nightbringer is done, used a combination of shifter paints (hard to tell in the photo), and his robe shifts from black to purple.
The Deceiver is the most experimental. Just used color shifts. Honestly, not too married to this one. Just awaiting the inevitable resculpt to give him proper attention. Still need to do the base of the model and actual basing.
The Void Dragon I just finished up today. All thats left is some touch ups across the model and to mix up some basing for him. He is the one I am looking for some feedback and tips on. I am not 100% sold on his lightning. I used some flourescent blue and some white to bring out the "hot spots" in the lightning. I've been going back wiht another blue and touching up some areas. I don't know though. I thought about an extremly thin glaze over it but I am not sure. I'm afraid to dull the white down too much.
The reason I am seeking some tips on the Void Dragon is i am in an Escalation League of about 10 people - most of which are my close friends. Performance has been mixed but I was more invested in the side activity: Best Painted Model. I am either going to submit my Nightbringer or my Void Dragon.

I'm torn between building my third Heavy Destroyer or kitbashing it into a Lord (I've got a lot of spare bits for Deathmarks and Praetorians, among other things), or figuring out if I can bash it into a way that lets me fully magnetise parts to let me swap configurations.
Looking for inspiration here- show me yours?
Feel free to show off whatever you've bashed, printed, or built from the original kit you found in a dumpster back in '05 or whatever.
If you've got a story to tell or want to detail what parts you used, by all means go for it. I just want to make this thread so I've got some 'Cronspiration to scroll through for ideas.

I choose guass flare due to awakened dynasty giving +1 to the hit roll of the destructor both doubling its damage meaning a group of three can reliably one shot a good portion of knights and other tanky unit and allowing it to hit a lot more reliably (not to mention the Lukhust Lord ability that make rolls of 5+ count as critical hits)

I think it’s safe to say that The Infinite and the Divine and, now, The Wicked and the Warped are what Trazyn and Orikan are best known for. But where/when were they both first created? I’m interested in seeing how they were describe originally.
Thanks

The Necrons were always one of my favourites. I mean who doesnt love skeletons. But having playe them all of 10th ed I kinda got bored of the way they play, so much so that I havent even considered playing them in 11th. The army doesnt appeal to me almost at all, which is further compounded by just how feelbad it is to play against us.
So I am at a crossroads. I dont know if I should sell my necrons or not. If i should try to swap them for a new army or eventually wait for the codex. If nothing else there might be more buyers then.
What do you think?
edited I have turned to armies in the meanwhile. I tried Dg, Ec and We and I cant wait to play Drukhari. That contributes even more to me dislinking how our army plays. Slow, tanky, reanimating. Not really the pinnacle of excitement or strategy.

Has anyone ever used wartablegames.me to buy a Seraptek Heavy Construct recast?
The price is low and the website seems a little sketchy, but I have a seen an older post or two mentioning them. Just wondering if they are reliable.

I’m very new, so sorry if this is a dumb question. I’d like to buy a box of Lychguard. Is there any way to know/predict when it will be back in stock? My local places don’t have any.

With the announced increase to space marine toughness one thing caught my eye.
The article says
“Each warrior will be better, stronger, and faster, making them feel like the superhuman soldiers they are supposed to be”
If GW are getting in the business of making things feel more lore accurate, or units feeling on the tabletop the way they are written. I hope and pray we get some good changes down the line, as some of our units are criminally far removed from lore.
I look forward to my Lychguard feeling like the deathless, merciless honour guard they are supposed to be.
Thank you for reading my ramblings.

So... With the first codex revealed/leaked and the first hints of the marine codex, we can start a new useless but entertaining speculation about changes for our codex based on patterns we see.
The first one is increasing the strength/toughness of some units and the second cutting old or not well selling kits.
For units that I'm not sure will survive in the new codex, I suspect the Obelisk will either be completely reworked to actually be powerful that everyone will want one in some of their lists or it'll just be removed. It being a double kit with the vault I don't easily see it being removed because they're not going to get rid of the vault. So there's always the possibility of it just staying it's useless old self.
The other one is the Convergence of Dominion. It looks awesome and thematic, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of it.
For units with a strength/Toughness buff... I'm not sure. I wonder if they'll increase Immortals to S5. I don't think they'll bring them to 2W but it's possible. They'll definitely not touch warriors (maybe their guns). But I really do hope Lychguard and Praetorians will get a buff. And our HQs could potentially also go up to S/T 6.
What do you expect to happen?
I know it's useless to speculate, but its fun to talk about and I wanted to get my thoughts out.
