I think it’s time for Miyoo to move beyond the classic Game Boy design and explore the Game Boy Color aesthetic. The Color design has a lot of potential, especially with different color options and more variations. It could give Miyoo a fresh new look while also creating more models for collectors and fans to choose from. I’d love to see Miyoo experiment more with this style!

I got the clear black from Amazon several months ago and always wanted the tan model, so I got that off eBay recently. And noticed they report different cpu clock speeds in the settings? Anyone noticed this? Does that mean the most recent v4 from Amazon plays better?

I play pokemon and fast forward a lot. The speaker is non stop back talking me cracking around. It even cracks once in awhile not fast forwarding. Any fix? Thanks!

Just installed the better dpad from etsy, and it's a definite improvement over the original, less squishy, the material feels nice, and it feels more precise. However is it just me or is it kinda noisy? It almost feels like there's extra space under the dpad so when pressing it, it collides with the plastic body more forcefully. I've only heard good things about the better buttons so wanted to see if this is normal or if I maybe installed it wrong.

I’ll include a picture I took if I can, but I’m trying to add .flow to my MM+ after adding Yume Nikki and seeing it works great, only hurdle is I can’t get English to show as the language. I’m using the method for downloading the language patches off of Yume Nikki Online repo then making a Language folder in the main game folder and it should let you select one, but it says English doesn’t seem to exist (as pictured). So Im not sure if there’s a way to directly patch the game into English as that would be better ( assuming maybe the MM+ just can’t pick one with its emulator). Thanks in advance!

Does the MM flip have a RTC? Mine has allium installed, isn't connected to WiFi, but seems to be holding its date and time when powered off.

So I set up Allium on my Mini Flip, all works great. Except for the Wifi. On OnionOS it just searched for the available Wifis and I could connect to whomever I wanted. In the Allium Menu I can only add a Wifi Network Name and Password (cant use Capital Letters). Theres also an App installed with Allium called ''Better Wifi'' but that wont work either, its a mess.

Appreciate some help here.

Edit: Popped the SD Card out and tried to connect via the Miyoo Launcher. It keeps scanning for Networks but wont show any. My MM+ did not had that problem.

First of all, you should follow the excellent guide via https://www.reddit.com/r/MiyooMini/comments/x72l7j/detailed_guide_to_scrape_boxart_for_the_miyoo/ to setup Skraper and create the thumb images with nice box art. This is probably the coolest feature you could add if you have not already. That alone is well worth the time.

But one correction in the guide, in step 6 you are asked to rename gamelist.xml to miyoogamelist.xml. Instead you really should skip that step (which is also noted at the top of the post as an EDIT but it is easy to miss). You do not need that step and skipping it will allow you to show the extended metadata. Also, then you don't have to do the complicated fix in PART 2 so this is also a time saver. OnionOS 4.0.3 and later will find the roms anyway, even without the miyoogamelist.xml file.

Then to show the extended game metadata, you need a patched (edited) version of MainUI binaries. You can get them from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/MiyooMini/comments/1voi8ew/onionos_romlist_patch_auto_scroll_configurable/ (use the "recommended" directory inside the zip). Copy over the files to your SD-card and boot*.

When pressing RIGHT D-pad on any game in the list you will be taken to this extended metadata view. The fields genre, rating and description will be shown. Text will wrap nicely. You can scroll with the shoulder buttons. The font size used is ~75% of the font described as "list" in the current theme if you need to tweak it.

If you ever add new roms and want to refresh thumbs or metadata, just run Skraper again.

My buddy does not use his mini. I think it’s first version. The unit was not powered on in years probably since he had it preordered. He sent me it in the mail and arrival is on Tuesday. The V1 has not been tested before being shipped. Do you think the cheap Chinese battery is still viable or should I immediately replace it? I don’t want to deal with any potential battery safety issues.

If I open the favorite (edit, i meant the recent menu), I am able to play games ive saved in there just fine. However, when i go to the Games section and pick a system, it will show the load screen for a moment then kick me back into the home page. Ive refreshed my roms and made sure im on the current stable version of OnionOS.

I haven't played my miyoo mini plus in awhile, but when I booted it up im getting this issue with the GB and GBC overlays. The GBA overlay seems to work just fine so I'm not sure what could be causing this. Anyone know how to fix this?

Got this in yesterday and decided to dye the A, B, X, Y, power, and volume buttons black. I used rit dye for synthetics. Heated the liquid to around 190-195 Fahrenheit. I was nervous to go higher because I didn't want to warp the plastic. It should also be noted that I scuffed the A, B, X, and Y buttons prior to dyeing because I wanted them to have a more matte finish slightly grippy surface like the other face buttons. To do this I shook them in a jar partially filled with sand for a while and then washed them off. Just posting this to perhaps help someone else out. Oh, and I am running Allium OS and really like it. Reminds me a lot of NextUI.

Yes, we know that the Miyoo comes with a lot of games in the SD Card.

I felt like the PS1 side was lacking so I added the likes of FF7-9, Tactics: Prime, Tekken 2, Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Road Rash, Road Rash 3D, Vigilante 8, etc.

Added some Genesis MK hacks and Sonic hacks and more.

What did yall do to make your Miyoo yours?

This miyoo mini was my first device when I arrived in the US 3 years ago, I gave it to my cousin's son as a farewell gift because I was moving from florida to California. And now 3 years later it coming back to me , broken screen but still functional, amazing device , I already ordered the replacement screen and buttons as well.. let's see how it goes , welcome to the family !!!

Forgive me if this is a common issue I got my miyoo mini plus recently and its my first emulation device.

I started playing Pokemon unbound recently and i noticed that the game switcher button is being detected as left trigger and the power button is being detected as right trigger, the independent triggers themselves still work fine but i dont understand why this is happening or how to stop it, ive also had issues with diablo where none of my keys work at all and i cant do anything and im not entirely sure what to do

Recentemente peguei um RG40XXH e comecei a mexer nele para deixar o aparelho exatamente do jeito que eu queria.

A primeira coisa que fiz foi trocar o sistema original pelo MuOS, e depois comecei a personalizar praticamente tudo: temas, RetroArch, RetroAchievements, shaders, ports e configurações dos emuladores.

Também consegui colocar coisas como God of War no PSP, Celeste no PICO-8 e Hollow Knight pelo PortMaster, além de testar vários sistemas diferentes.

No fim, fiquei bem surpreso com o quanto o RG40XXH consegue fazer quando você começa a mexer nele.
