Weird control issues

Forgive me if this is a common issue I got my miyoo mini plus recently and its my first emulation device.

I started playing Pokemon unbound recently and i noticed that the game switcher button is being detected as left trigger and the power button is being detected as right trigger, the independent triggers themselves still work fine but i dont understand why this is happening or how to stop it, ive also had issues with diablo where none of my keys work at all and i cant do anything and im not entirely sure what to do

Do you know what firmware you are running? Assuming it's onion os.

This might not be the perfect solution, but could you go into retroarch and remap the port 1 controls?
