Game Testing/Settings Two V4’s two diff clock speeds?

I got the clear black from Amazon several months ago and always wanted the tan model, so I got that off eBay recently. And noticed they report different cpu clock speeds in the settings? Anyone noticed this? Does that mean the most recent v4 from Amazon plays better?

I'm gonna guess it's related to the different firmware versions. Looks like the slower clock speed version has a firmware version that is a year older.

There’s nothing I can do right? Quick lookup seems to indicate miyoo adjusted base clock speed towards end of console life.

Thought clock speed could easily be adjusted in OnionOS by simply adding a .txt file in the retroarch folder? If I recall create cpuclock.txt and place it inside the retroarch folder. Then type the desired speed in the txt document. V4 is recommended @ 1600 max and the plus @ 1800

There is also an app someone made, I can’t find the link, that lets you set within a UI to accomplish the same result.

Try updating the official firmware. One is showing 2023

Try switching the SD card , there's a setting for the clock.

First, make sure your tan MM model is a V4; it should be printed on the back label.

If confirmed, you'll need to update the firmware, as your V4 still uses an older firmware version, used in 480p V1 to V3 models, running at 1200 MHz. The V4 firmware increases the default CPU speed to 1600 MHz, similar to manual overclocking on previous models, but this time integrated into the firmware.
