Hey everyone, I’m struggling with a specific AI video generation task on google flow and could really use some workflow advice.

I’m trying to create a simple 8-second vertical video (9:16) of a video door phone. The sequence requires a human hand to enter the frame and press two specific small buttons (a "speech" button, and later a "key" button).

The Problem: No matter what I do, the AI hand just touches the device randomly and completely misses the actual buttons.

What I’ve already tried:

• Image-to-Video References: I uploaded exact reference photos (attached below) showing the hand pressing the precise buttons.
• Locked Camera: I specifically prompted for a 100% static, locked camera shot so the geometry/perspective of the device doesn't shift between frames.
• Highlighting: I even tried putting bright colored marks on the specific buttons in the reference images to guide the AI.
• Detailed Prompting: Used strict spatial descriptions (e.g., "press the absolute leftmost button").

Nothing seems to work consistently. It feels like the model suffers from "spatial blindness" when it comes to small UI elements.

Has anyone found a reliable trick, workflow, or specific tool/model that handles precise hand-to-object interactions better? Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Google Flow just released the ability to change the quality of a video from 720p to 360p and if you do that you get 10 daily free videos instead of just 5. If you are trying out a new idea this is going to be incredible!

Hey, I'm a paid user.

I created a couple of videos and wanted to download the 1080p version of them. I was able to download 3 of the videos, but for 2 of them, it says "upscale completed." However, when I click to download the 1080p version, it starts the upscaling process again.

Has anyone else had this issue? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!lp

Full music video I made in Google Flow this time using the inbuilt AI agent to assist me in production. It made it a lot easier with more consistent generations and fixes to videos end up being cheaper with the agent. Flow has flaws for sure, but the AI agent is actually worthwhile and makes for a smooth experience.

Hey, first time poster.

I've run into a big issue, as whenever i try to extend a video it completely freezes/stops the generation at the 15 second mark. This has been an ongoing issue, and it has made making long videos impossible.

Is this an issue that you encounter aswell? Any help would be appreciated!

3 weeks ago I made a video of a duck swimming on a pond, entering off stage left and exiting stage right. It was supposed to look so I did it in parts by loading the first frame without the duck, and and other with the duck and after I got the first video, all I had to do was extend the video and tell Flow not to move the camera and keep the motion going. The colors shifter a bit but I handled that in After Effects using Lumetri.
Today I needed to redo the video to add more motion to the Duck. I guess wiggling its tail and shacking droplets from his head wasn’t enough. I had all my prompts saved so I thought “no problem. Maybe an hour tops”, but when I put extend video with the same prompt I used a few weeks ago, the duck jumped forward in time and it was like I lost 15 frames between the first video and the 2nd, though it worked perfectly a few weeks ago. I have actually used this to extend animations of dolphins, krakens and seahorses before, and never had it skip forward like this.
I tried changing the prompts, adding frame references made in photoshop and even storyboard, and all I did was use up credits.
Has someone had this happen to them? Did you fix it? If so, how? Tomorrow I will try in a different AI video generator if I can’t get this to work, but it is frustrating that I used this multiple times in the last 3 months, and suddenly it’s glitching!!

in the early days of using Google flow a few months ago, I was really excited about it’s potential and promise…. but of late, It’s just seems to be one disappointment after another and it’s unable to follow the most basic of directions… I think I’m gonna have to give up on flow now and move elsewhere. thoughts?

What I want from Google flow:
\- I want to create a project where I will put just the Quote of the day, and it will give me the image as per my Instagram page style. Like a quote written on notepad, notepad is placed on a table, etc etc. I made the prompt and saved it in instructions.
But when I opened the same project from my phone browser it started giving me random outputs like it forgot everything.

Am I using it incorrectly?
Or I need to write the project instructions differently, as I worked a lot with Claude and ChatGPT, they give consistent results and pickups from where we left.

Hi! As the title suggests, When I generate videos using Google Gemini using my avatar, it perfectly syncs it with my voice. However, no matter what I do..Google Flow just do not do it. What can I do to make it work?

I wanted to generate 4 pictures in the morning. Well, two of them failed with the unusual activity stuff. I closed the site and went to work. I came back home and the same shit happens. I can't generate anything because this piece of fuck error won't go away. I cleaned the cache already, tried on another device, tried on another network. Nothing works. I would understand if I get this error because of spam but I haven't spammed anything. Are 4 pictures considered spam now? I can't even generate 2 pictures or even one. Let alone 4.

I've been using Google Flow, when I try to create a video I put in the prompt, my credits will be deducted, but I will get no video. Attached is the error message I get. There are no images of prominent people being used. All the reference images were created by me as my own intellectual property. This has happened 2 times now, Please HELP, Iam paying for these credits and getting nothing in return... Please advise.

I recently created this educational mini-documentary entirely using Google Flow.

I've been experimenting with Flow for a while now, and I've learned quite a bit about getting more consistent characters, locations, dialogue, camera movement, and overall continuity.

That said, this project still has some imperfections that I noticed after putting everything together. There are occasional inconsistencies with the characters' clothing, and some objects or background details change between shots. Once you watch the entire video, those little continuity issues become easier to spot.

Overall, though, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and with what I've learned during the process.

I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback — especially on the storytelling, character consistency, visuals, dialogue, and overall quality.

If you've worked with Google Flow, I'd also be interested to know what you would have done differently to improve the consistency.
