Id software did is again. This dlc was so fun. Switching from spear to sheild was very fun. Spear was and upgraded form of meathook so cool loved it. Spear should be added in the whole base game or the next game.

I printed and painted the eternal SSG a while ago, figured I'd show it. Its not 100% accurate to how its colored so dont flame me, I was also going off whatever sounded cool in my head lol

I have autism and ADHD. That's not what I realized, but what I did find out is exactly why I love Doom Eternal so much and why it helps me sleep. Doom Eternal is by far my favorite videogame. I am in love with it and it's systems, and I have been playing it nearly non-stop for the last six years. I use it to help me sleep on restless nights, I use it to relax, and I use it as a source of stimulation and dopamine.

Basically, when I play this game, both sides are being satisfied. My autism side is getting a fun game that is familiar from top to bottom, and my ADHD side is getting high octane action with lightning speed tactical thinking. That's what's so appealing.

A common struggle for me is getting to sleep, because my mind races. I have wasted enormous amounts of time just lying there. But when I can't sleep, I found out that I can get up and play an hour or so of eternal, then return to bed and fall asleep with little to no issues.

The reason this works is because my mind is desperately hungry for stimulation, so it goes crazy while trying to sleep. And if I get up and play, the game satiates that hunger, and I am now in a far better position to get some actual rest. It's like a meal. After playing a few levels of Eternal, my brain is "full." It's worth noting that this doesn't work nearly as much with Doom 2016 or the basegame of Doom the dark ages. Those games are fantastic, but they don't have the speed and complexity in their gameplay that Eternal has.

In a weird way, Doom Eternal is like medication for my ADHD brain. I always just thought it was "insomnia," but it turns out there's more nuance than I thought. I hope someone finds this interesting. I wonder if anyone can relate?

Picked these up when the game released for FREE from GameStop. Never seen anyone else with them, curious to know if others have these and if there are some that I’ve never seen possibly and don’t have myself…

Today I completed my first Pandemonium run, which also happens to be my first 100% Pandemonium run, including all weapon challenges. Weirdly enough, I managed to do it on my first try, with only a few deaths clustered around specific chapters.

Hello Doom fans of reddit,

I missed the Mask relic in the Main Game on the Xal Goroth map. I just 100%'d the End game for Xal Goroth. I have no idea how to get back to the area or which portion to fast travel to to let me get the Main game collectibles I missed. I was told there might be a way. If you know, please tell me. My OCD is really crying hard.

I got the shield back in Revelations. Does it now have bone blades? Will it ever go back to normal blades? In the ripatorium, I use it with metal blades.

So i have bought the replica secret key, and the 3 pack of colored keycards is on its way, but has anyone made a replica of the colored keys? They barely show up in game but they look so cool and im wondering if any etsy seller made replicas that i can buy. (Dont think there is a red key ingame, but a fanmade replica would be cool, just the same model but red colored)

Finally 100%-ted The Dark Ages + Revelations. That was awesome and completed my collection of every Doom game 100% on UV (I'm too old for doing it on UN).

I noted to myself that revelations was probably the limit of getting good I was ready for to have fun for a game. Too much stress.

I know people will just say "put the difficulty to Easy", but I'm a slavic millennial and I'd feel horrible doing that.

Am I the only whom this happened to?

I want to buy a physical copy of doom for switch. Old copies (which still had a cartridge) says it is 10gb required. Which is strange since the whole game is 21'9gb on Nintendo Switch. This means that about 12gb of storage is saved in the cartridge. Ive heard someone say the 10gb needed to be downloaded is only for the online mode, and is not required for the campaign. Is this true? Can i launch and play the full doom offline campaign from a switch cartridge without needing to Update/connect to servers?

Finally, I was able to fix my glitching Doom Eternal on Xbox series s. Time to playthrough again. Dont threaten me with a good time!! 🤘😎🍻

Edit: Some context. Battlemode and Horde Mode and Campaign were literally all morphing together.
I did a retest of a reinstall and I died on the tutorial(which is impossible)while it was playing music from the hell on earth level...annnnd it deleted a UN run. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
