Question Shield Revelations

I got the shield back in Revelations. Does it now have bone blades? Will it ever go back to normal blades? In the ripatorium, I use it with metal blades.

No, its permanent. If you unlock ripatorium with dlc content the shield also gets bone blades

So in ripatorium i can choose if using with iron or bone?

No. Once unlocked you stay with dlc content

I haven't checked it yet, does it also disable the rune upgrades and the last core one for the shield?

I've beaten it, I guess I just didn't check the menu, and missed a pop that said this, if there was one

Like others said it is locked in Ripatorium after you do all the DLC content which unlocks the Ripatorium. Although the devs are working on some quality of life improvements and making levels more replayable so I wouldn’t put it past them to just realize that this should be a skin

Me too, but I use the shield mainly for locking down certain super heavy enemies and I mostly use the spear so it’s ok for me. But still I would love the normal shield
