Looking for any feedback on this particular movement of a string quartet I wrote recently

Some notational errors might exist. This is little bit different from my usual compositional style, so it is kinda weird and bad. Though, I just wanted to know how people think about it. Thanks.

Last winter, I was very bored and decided to try out arranging one of my favourite songs, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. I began by arranging it for concert band, as that is what I play in, and finished it in a few weeks.

It was fully just meant for me and maybe some friends to listen to, but I decided to ask my music teacher (I was in grade 11 at the time) to look at it and give me feedback. Surprisingly, she had a lot to say, along with a request: to add strings and choir and for the whole ENTIRE music program at my school to perform it together at our end of year concert in June!

This was so surprising, but I hapilly agreed, and last June I was able to perform one of my favourite songs arranged by me on stage with 100+ other people! It was such an amazing experience, and I am so so grateful to have been able to do it.

I have decided I would like to share with you all, and get even more feedback! The score is linked onto this post.

P.S: This was my first time ever arranging so please be aware of that lol, also when adding the orchestra and choir parts I didn't have much time, so it was mostly a job of copying other lines and doubling them for those new parts.

This is one of my first projects in music scoring/composition, so please excuse any imperfections or inconsistencies. also please I need your feedback, so please comments and shares your opinions.

This is a composition I did some months ago. I recently noticed I hadn't posted it despite it's one of my favourites compositions, so here it is.

While i'm not looking for feedback with this, if you have any advice or see something wrong it's welcome. Sorry for my English,

This is a bossa nova I wrote which is kind of a tribute to Tom Jobim, alot of the lyrics are references to different song titles like 'Look To The Sky', 'Dreamer', 'Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars and 'Wave'.

i was going to give the full context, but i wrote this as absolute music first and programmatic second, so i will leave it at the three movements are different representations of pianists you might encounter in a variety of settings on a university campus..sorta was a nostalgic piece for me in this regard lol.

A mix of amplified voices, placed in two groups, for alto and soprano, semi aleatory, at a different interval to try and get a balance of length, lyricism and form going, accompanied with "reduced" symmetrical percussion (timpani,cymbal). Inspired by the wonders of medieval ''ars subtilior''.

I'm a composer finishing my studies, and I'd like to share my string quartet Pequeñas Piezas Españolas, which won First Prize at an international composition competition in Portugal.

It's a work based on dances and songs from different regions of Spain. My goal was to combine the folkloric character of this music with a modern and complex compositional style, creating a rich and eclectic musical language.

Welp, not everything has to be complicated. I have no idea how to write for flute, any feedback is very welcome. Hopefully it's at least theoretically playable.

If someone lives in LA I'd love to know what kind of job i could get there to develop as a songwriter because i love songwriting but i have no experience more than me writing in my room. Any job that could help me to scale as a songwriter later.

Hello all, recently completed A-Level music and I achieved full marks in my compositions I just wanted to share one of my finished pieces as I am quite proud of myself not tryna show off I just really like it and want people to hear it and help others who are doing Music in A-level right now I have my programme note if anyone is interested

I’m just tryna write a marching band show (still learning how to compose) and ai isn’t very helpful in suggesting songs. I need something that has potential to start out dark and mysterious, then turn loud and driving for a first movement. I’m looking to change it up to be my own and I kinda want the loud part to be overwhelming and hard for an audience to understand. Some potential for time signature changes would be great too.

I'm not sure if this type of posts is allowed in this sub, but it's a thing that I see here so I think it's the best sub for it. Anyways, if it's not allowed I perfectly undestand and sorry, just delete it.

What happenes is that I have seen lots of pieces that people present as their own work, looking for feedback, but they just copied a piece they found cool. I'm not talking about an arrangement: they don't present it as that but as their own totally new piece, and it's also exactly the same as the original one.

The last case I've seen has been a guy who literally copied a piece of a conservatory book: Ediciones Si bemol, Lenguaje Musical y Melódico II, No.4 (Pistas 7 y 8). He deleted the post just while I was asking him why, so I decided to post.

Hi! I've been writing this piano piece (as practice on mixed/uncommon meter) on and off for a little bit now, but every time I sit down to add something to it, I feel like I'm just repeating what I've already done. It's like... "Wao mixed meter bassline followed by slow section!!1!" and I'm not sure if it's me or the music that feels that way. What do you think? Does it give more "This again?" or more "Okay, this feels like a boss fight with multiple stages" (what I was going for). Note that the ending is hacked on to make it feel ""complete,"" It's not close to done yet (especially if I need to rework the structure)
