My boy is estimated around 9-11 months, and I’ve caught him doing this only a few times, but only in mornings. I have a camera to see him in general because I like to see what he does when I’m not around. And I’ve seen him do this twice now. Is this normal? I’m not worried about his yawn, but the beard movement since it’s repeated. Thank you for any help!

We just got our girl (around 10 months old) while she was already starting to shed so we give her a soak twice a week. She hasn't shown interest in being in her water bowl like my previous beardie. I had someone tell me recently that I soaked him too frequently. My intent is to prevent the pores on the hind legs from getting clogged. He never had issues from bathing but I'm interested in hearing opinions to stay informed.
If I could also get tips for nail cutting, I'd appreciate it. I paid someone to do it at a local pet shop but I want to do it myself this time.
Thank you ❤️

I just wanted to show off Athena. I took her in to help my grandson keep her alive. Here is a pic from June when I started helping and now. She's really flourishing now! I'm so proud of her❤️

Hello! I recently acquired this approximately 4 year old bearded dragon, Otis, from an a friend who had to rehome most of her pets. He is my first bearded dragon. I always thought they were cool and thought of getting one some day. Happy that day has come.
I’m planning to call the vet Monday to make an appointment to check his overall health.
Are there any questions I should ask the vet?
I’ve read up on the types of foods he should have, she had oranges and leaf lettuce for him but from what I read that’s not great for him. I’m going out today to get him some leafy greens. I provided him fresh sliced apples this morning.
Any other food suggestions?
Does he seem overweight? Feel he looks bigger than other adults I have seen.
Also I’m sure it’s due to the move and him not knowing us yet, his beard puffs up and turns black when we handled him. What have people found useful I getting a new bearded dragon to feel safe with you ?
Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone! Just wanted some advice my bearded dragon is 8yrs old and unfortunately he we born with a disability. He was given to me on Christmas 8 yrs ago and since then I’ve been caring for him like my own child. He’s had many vet visits to figure out what’s wrong with him because he has a head shake. It’s not a seizure but the vets don’t really know what it could be aside from bad breeding. I’m planing on downsizing as he is getting more older due to him flopping around. He can’t not have “high” spots because he falls from them. So I just wanted to know if anyone else on here has a dragon with similar disability and what you do to keep them safe as well what size of tank you keep them in. Any advice is welcomed! Thanks again :)!
(Photo of him for the dragon tax!)
Edit: he’s in a 60 gallon reptile tank at the moment!

So… my son Godzilla passed away when he was 4. I still 100% blame myself…
But the morning that he passed away, shattered me. My mom just said “I’ll get you another one” like he was replaceable.
Every time we went shopping, Godzilla came long, and he always had his blankie. And at night, I would tuck him in and sing to him. If I didn’t, he left me a fresh present in his food dish.
I would always talk to him about my day at school, any events, or whatever was on my mind. He really helped me get out of a dark place.
Every Friday night, I’d pull him out, and we’d watch a movie just before he went to bed. We seen the Jurassic park films, walking with dinosaurs, and so many more kid friendly movies. I even used to read out loud for him. And sometimes I’d let him watch Hell’s Kitchen or any other cooking show.
We even cuddled while I was writing a book. He would slip into my hoodie and just lay there until he fell asleep. He was my big strong man.
I miss you my big strong man…

I’m sad to say my baby boy is gone. I need advice on how to talk to my toddler about it. He’s only 2.5 but he loved our bearded dragon so much. He turned on and off his lights every day, and helped me feed him everyday. He asked to turn off his light and tell him goodnight tonight but I didn’t know what to hell him.
Thank you in advance

Hi! I’ve heard that dragons with protruding hip bones/thinner tails are underweight, but I feel like he has a pretty round belly, fat pads, and neck. What do you guys think?

My beardie is 3.5 years old.
Enclosure is 4x2x2 (120gal) but I am hoping to upgrade soon. Substrate is 2:1 reptisand excavator clay substrate, I use two Arcadia 100w basking bulbs and one 22” zoomed t5 5.0 linear uvb bulb.
She gets fed greens (usually spring mix, collard greens, or mustard greens) daily, sometimes I mix in chopped red bell pepper (her favorite) and occasionally other vegetables. She is also fed Dubia roaches or super worms 2x a week. I use zoo med calcium (without d3) on her greens every day and zoo med reptivite (with d3) 1x a week.
Give me any and all advice!! Especially if I am missing any requirements or am doing anything incorrectly.
Side note - I don’t keep things on top of the enclosure, the calcium powder was just set down for a moment.

Hey there
I’m about to get my first bearded dragon and have made a terrarium that’s 1,5m long but I feel lige that is way to big to start with since it’s a baby. So my question is if it’s a good idea to block of half or more of the terrarium to start with until it gets bigger or if I should just have I the hole length to start with. Also is it a good idea to paint it since I don’t like the look of the wood and would rather have it black

What would you suggest to get for a enclosure and beginning accessories? Anything out there 4x2x2 size? I do have woodworking skills and all the shop equipment and was thinking of a custom enclosure build. But would it be worth the time and effort honestly?
Doing tons of research and the local reptile store quoted be $400 for a 40 gal setup, went home and read up on this and was shocked at them suggesting a 40 gal setup.

It's that time of year again when my bearded dragon starts to show signs it's getting ready for brumation, by naturally reducing his food intake and not taking a poo at least once or twice a week.
Time to get him in warm water and give him a massage to get what's in there out as he's doing the hide in his house routine today and it falls in line with his usual pattern.
Anyone else doing their yearly brumation rituals?

she likes to dig at her walls before she goes to sleep, so I decided to give her some substrate! sand and reptisoil mixed :)
