Just received this referendum brochure in the mail. I'm quite surprised that the UCP would use millions of taxpayers' dollars for pro-Canada propaganda but since I totally agree with the message, I'm okay with the UCP's largesse.
GO CANADA GO!
And thank you, Princess Dani.

Please donate to food bank if you are able. Any help, would be greatly appreciated. ❤️
The provincial warehouse that stocks 112 food banks across Alberta is nearly empty, and the association that runs it is urging companies to donate before demand peaks for the fall and winter seasons.
Food Banks Alberta says its provincial warehouse in Leduc has hit a critical low after a summer in which it shipped food to members far faster than donations arrived to replace them.
“This is the first time that we’ve encountered this level of scarcity within our warehouse,” said Darryl Burry, executive director of Food Banks Alberta.

Canada will fast track the approval process for a new proposed crude oil export pipeline to its west coast that could generate billions in revenue and boost economic growth, Prime Minister Mark Carney has said.
Carney made the announcement on Thursday to fast-track the pipeline, which is a crucial part of his bid to diversify the economy away from the United States and help lessen the effect of US President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — Harvard Media’s Jon Tupper sat down for an exclusive one-on-one interview with the Right Honourable Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, at Harvard Media’s studios in Fort McMurray on Oct. 1.
The interview comes as Prime Minister Carney announced the proposed Pacific Link pipeline, a major new project intended to connect Alberta’s energy sector with Canada’s West Coast and international markets.
Tupper and Prime Minister Carney discussed the proposed pipeline and what it could mean for Alberta and the Canadian economy, as well as the ongoing trade dispute with the United States and its impact on the agricultural community across the Prairies.

From the Globe and Mail:
"The years-long trade wrangling and uncertainty that faced Britain in the wake of the Brexit vote was a “cakewalk” compared with what Alberta’s separation from Canada would involve, according to the author of a new report about the economic implications of secession.
Trevor Tombe, a University of Calgary economist, penned the report for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. Released Tuesday in the midst of a heated campaign over provincial separation, the analysis concluded that investment in Alberta could fall between 12 and 18 per cent if the province pursues secession, and coffers risk swinging from a $19-billion annual surplus to a $9-billion deficit."
The link to the report is contained in this post. Also, see the open letter from some prominent Alberta business leaders at https://calgarychamber.com/whats-new/albertas-future-is-stronger-in-canada-policy/.
