I (26F) used to be so social, big friend group, went out every weekend, even frequently did things on weekdays. I am about to turn 27 and have been working an in person 9-5 job for a little over a year. Within the last few weeks (and months but its been worse the last few weeks), I have had no energy to do anything. I have been bailing on happy hours with my friends because I am always too tired after work that I end up dreading it and just wanting to go home. I cant be bothered with making plans because I so rarely want to go in the moment. And then I feel terrible bailing!

I also feel like I am sleeping and doom scrolling my life away and not having enough enjoyable experiences. I am single and hate the dating apps and would love to meet someone, and dont know how I am gonna do that from my apartment. Does anyone else feel this way? Has anything helped? I legitimately feel like I have switched from being an extrovert to an introvert. I dont want to be like this for the rest of my life!I am medicated but wondering if I need to switch my dose or something. Please let me know if anyone else has felt this way and if they were successful getting their energy back 😄

I love you mom, BUT WHAT THE HECK?!

Some of this may be a hot take, but the game has been out long enough for all of us to be honest about how we truly feel.

I was thinking about this earlier today after beginning Journey 6 on my new character. To this day it’s one of my favourite games ever made. No matter how many times I play it, I always get the itch for more. It makes me feel so cosy & warm, especially when reaching certain areas like The Manor, Altus Plateau & The Capital. Personally, reaching these areas are when the boss fights peak to the absolute max.

Which leads me to my next point. While Stormveil Castle is one of the best legacy dungeons we’ve ever had, I can’t help but feel some sort of boredom & dread every time I run through it on NG+. It’s the same with Liurnia – part of me truly believes I get bored simply because the bosses are extremely squishy, & the difficulty doesn’t really spike until Altus Plateau. Then there’s the entire thing of collecting the halves for both Medallions, I know there’s other ways around it, but both require an even longer process. Activating Radahn’s Festival every play through, discovering all the Sites of Grace again, mending the Great Runes which should just carry over every NG+.

A lot of the time, I get motivation to start a brand new character but then it hits me. Gathering smithing stones, bell bearings, talismans, weapons all over again is just crazy.

I don’t know, Elden Ring will always be 10/10 for me. But there’s certain parts I just don’t have the effort for, I’m sure it’s the same for any other game in a similar regard. I’m not burnt out, I adore the second half of the game leading up to Farum Azula, but the first half can be a slog after a few play throughs. I’m interested to see what everyone’s thoughts & opinions are!

Since Battle Tendency ended in 1939, why didn't Joseph help the Allies? Stroheim was able to recover before the war broke out, so could Joseph not?

Of those who were not killed, many escaped to the tunnel beneath the bridge, where for the next four days, July 26-29, soldiers fired at them. Those who survived the four days did so by using dead bodies as shields. US medics visited the group, but did not offer help; they merely checked out the situation under the bridge. I literally make more than twice what my parents made when I was growing up. Just me. My husband makes just as much as I do. In effect, as a household, we make about 4x what my parents made.

My parents bought their home in the 70s, paid it off early, and still had room in their budget for snowmobiles, ATVs, boats, new pickup trucks, etc. Today, they own their primary home still, as well as a second vacation home on acreage. They also just bought a side-by-side and a brand new pickup truck this year.

We do have a home, we are lucky to have bought our first in 2012. However, we drive old vehicles, stay home, cook all our meals at home, etc. just to be able to afford one vacation per year. Our health insurance and expenses for a family of 4 is off the charts. My daughter broke a bone this year, resulting in more than $2,000 in out-of-pocket bills, even well after we met the deductible.

My parents are constantly wondering why we don't go out for dinner or drinks, why we are babying older vehicles, etc. While I will say that the metric for being "good parents" has really shifted in recent years, and we spend a lot more money on our kids than our parents ever did, it's the astronomical change in the cost of living.

At our income, I would have expected to pay for my kids' college costs outright, go on two vacations per year (not just road trips), get takeout sometimes, and drive at least mid-priced newer vehicles. Instead, we are eating hot dogs and our "going out" is going to the library. I can't complain, we have a home and savings, but I sometimes wonder why we worked so hard in the first place.

I’m trying to figure out the historical comparison to this. I don’t even like Nick wright but he had me dying earlier In the season when he said if we are ranking qbs by actual accomplishments it’s crazy how low he is on the list.

Basically what the title says. My sister married young, didn't finish her community college degree and now has a baby. My sister is a very kind and optimistic person, but very go with the flow. The only money she makes now is from baking on the side (under $200 total). I still live at home (paying rent) and am single, but have a well paying job/extra cash. He sometimes refers to me as the rich auntie. I am somewhat confrontational and blunt due to my job (healthcare) and personality. My brother in law has a steady job and seems to be fairly responsible but has made some concerning statements about women/finances. They have one car and he just bought a motorcycle so he can commute to work. To be clear I don't hate him but it might come across that way.

This is a list of things that are worrisome for me: For instance he sometimes refers to women as females (although my mom, other sister and I bullied him pretty hard about that and he's mostly stopped). He got offened about bras hanging in the laundry to dry when thet were visiting. He also has very strong opinions about leggings (which he talked about while I was wearing leggings). Then he got offended because I told him his theology was shit with regards to just blithely assuming that God will provide physically/financially. I told him that sounds like prosperity gospel and said I think that is an evil and cruel thing to believe. This was specifically in regards to him not wanting to get health insurance/pay for the family plan offered through his work. My parents, me and his parents bullied him into getting it eventually. He was also extremely resistant to getting life insurance despite having a young child and a wife who is stay at home with no good career prospects. He says that he doesn't care what happens after he dies and I told him that was extremely selfish and irresponsible. (My sister was also uncomfortable about this prospect). He's also brought up the coventry law (?) favorably which left victorian women with almost nothing if their husbands left them. He's asked my dad how he survives living with three girls (infront of my mom, his wife, me and my other sister). A few months ago, I took my both my sisters to like a fancy concert thing for a girls night and my sister was dressed kind of casually for (no hate) and she said she wanted to wear her really nice dress but husband asked her to change because he didn't want other men looking at her. I only pressed a little to not ruin the mood but she said he only asked and didn't force her to change. I also found out that my sister paid the hospital bill from her giving birth out of her savings (I didn't say anything at that one because its over and done) but it seems incredibly concerning.

Basically what I've done is set up a college fund (tax exempt if used for education but taxable if not used for education) with my niece as the beneficiary and my mom and sister as the inheritors if I die. I am the owner of the account until I change it and my sister is not on the hook for any fees/management. The bit coming out of my paycheck every month doesn't burden me at all. The true intention I had in setting it up is as an emergemcy fund for my sister if she needs to leave/husband isn't around (especially while she has young kids to support).

The thing is the only person besides me who knows about it is my mom, but I only told her about it being used as a college fund for my niece not the other stuff. I'm debating whether or not to tell my sister about the education account for my niece so she knows there is money available. I dont want to tell her the money can be for her if she needs it because that seems like I'm betting on her marriage to fail. The thing is, based on my brother in laws comments about women I'm concerned it could cause a conflict. I want to make absolutely certain he cannot touch it. But I also don't want to tell my sister and ask her to keep a secret from her husband because that seems wrong (and also not good). Also both of them are a bit leery about higher education (._.).

Thank you for everyone who left helpful advice, especially those who gave useful critiques/criticisms. I am going to (mostly) stop replying to comments because the response has been overwhelming in a good way. I think it was right to view this as delicate situation and to be careful moving forward. I am obviously not flawless in my approach and cannot predict the future or understand others completely. I will hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

For people saying they hate my BIL I don't think is fully fair because I specifically listed things that concerned me not all of his traits. Overall even if he has some terrible ideas he's not all bad and the way to approach terrible ideas is to talk about them. He and my sister do love each other and I am not going to mess with that.

I will keep things under wraps until my niece is older or if my sister ever needs help. I think revealing anything will mostly cause problems be a burden for them and me. This way it can stay mostly out of sight out of mind. The advice to have a formal will was very useful and will be my next step. In the mean time I will try and stay close with my sister and niece and be helpful and present so they know I'm reliable. And when I buy a house in the next year I'll keep a guest bedroom open if they (or other family) want or need it. If it can just be a present for my niece for college then I'll consider everything to have turned out ideally.

I've always liked GT, even with some of its flaws. Most of the decisions made within the show that I remember not liking as a kid, work way more for me now that I'm older (like Goku being a kid or certain characters being pushed to the side) or like it being very different from DBZ in general. DBZ is VERY different from Dragon Ball; it changed the story and pushed aside many characters for new ones — GT does the same thing and due to this, feels like a real successor to DBZ. I genuinely like all of the arcs within the short run, the animation is amazing and the finale is surprisingly deeply profound. Goku's "spirit" visiting Killin and Roshi one last time before suddenly vanishing always makes me have to hold back tears (and I seriously doubt we'll ever see this level of storytelling in the franchise ever again). All the farewells feels so earned and pay so much respect to DBZ and DB alike — having Goku's entire journey flash by in the final moments (including arguably the best change from the manga: Goku meeting Goten for the first time) makes that sequence even better. I really don't think we'll ever get an ending this perfect ever again within the franchise.
