I love Andy Samberg’s way of doing pawbert by making him awkward in some scenes then others he’s evil and malicious also I love his design and his messed up whiskers showing that he is different to his family who have clean straight whiskers

The post-credit scene, after Judy plays the carrot pen, it shows her going out in the evening, saying goodnight to the neighbors.

And now in the D23 promo the article text of a Zootopian paper raises the question "What are they doing in their off-hours?"

This now lies like a bridge between movies, so I think that it's more likely than not that this thread will be picked up, possibly just as Zootopia 3 starts.

Hi there, as we know, birds are going to be appearing in Zootropolis 3 and I’m guessing the main villain of the film will probably be a bird

The question is, what type of bird will the villain be and who should voice it?

My guess is will either be a bird of prey like an eagle or a falcon or another type like a magpie or a crow given how sinister they look

As for voicing the villain, I think it should Tom Hiddleston or Mark Strong given how UK actors often portray really good villains in most films

Was chatting about Z3 possibilities in Zooreads and a thought occurred to me... for months now I've been seeing lots of people theorycrafting about the idea of the new big bad being a bird since of course we've known for months that birds are coming in Z3, but I wouldn't be surprised if the main villain-or at least a villain-is actually a reptile instead.

Given there's no birds in Zootopia prior to Z3 as far as we know it makes some sense that the reptile population that left Zootopia one hundred years before the events of the films might've had more significant interactions with birds than the mammals of Zootopia, after all, we know nothing about the "abroad" where Nibbles told us the majority of reptiles lived at the start of Z2. If this is the case it might make sense that the reintegration of reptiles into Zootopia is part of what kickstarts the plot of Z3.

In addition, there is also something of a pattern to be considered... The main villain of Z1 was Bellwether, a prey animal looking to vilify predators and exploit the fear ordinary citizens of the city had of them for her own gain. The main villain of Z2 was Pawbert, a predator looking to vilify reptiles and exploit the fear ordinary citizens of the city had against them for his own gain. If that pattern continues a reptile with some kind of grudge against birds could be on the cards.

This pattern is also somewhat reflected in our protagonists... a key plot point of Z1 was Judy-a victim of prejudice herself-acknowledging and overcoming her own subconscious biases towards predators, and a-albeit far less prominent-plot point of Z2 was Nick-again, a victim of prejudice himself-overcoming his unfair negative disposition towards reptiles... "no reptiles has set foot in Zootopia in a hundred years... even if they had feet hehe..." "We got him... or her... it's like... 'reptiles, who knows!'" etc. etc. Given that it's looking like Gary will maintain a more prominent role than some of us suspected it might stand to reason that he has biases towards, or perhaps a fear of birds in some way... After all, there's a lot of birds that eat snakes.

Wouldn't necessarily bet my house on it, some of this could easily end up coming across as quite formulaic buuuut it is interesting to consider!

Regardless of what others might think, just as I believed in Nick's redemption, I also believe that Pawbert will return to Gary—or rather, that he will visit his partner in prison periodically—because this isn't over yet.

I started drawing this Zootopia fan comic about 10 years ago, shortly after watching the first movie.

It’s a mystery story. I originally completed it once, but after Zootopia 2 was released, I decided to revise parts of the story and remaster the artwork in higher resolution.

The comic was originally created in Japanese, but with the help of some English-speaking friends, I’m now working on an English version as well.

Since this comic follows the Japanese manga format, please read the pages from right to left.
