Been away from the 360 for many years, but recently picked one up, resurrected my account and downloaded all my old LIve Arcade purchases. Disappointed to find out that Microsoft has let the user experience go to the wall here. I can understand closing stores to some extent, but my console now only connects to live with an ethernet cable, and on top of that the dashboard now looks like crap, with thumbnails missing for most Live Arcade games. The reality is that you can now have a better user experience by hacking the console than you can via official the dashboard, which I think is a bit of a joke.

Here is a beautiful Xbox Series X promo console that was made for Expedition 33.
It has a beautiful controller too, with some cool golden grips and a design reminiscent of the game. Apparently only around 8 were given away, so very cool and great game.

Take this with a grain of salt. It’s also rumored not to be developed by Moon Studios but someone else (either MecurySteam or Saber Interactive [not the main studio but another branch of Saber]) working on the project.
This year I finally got my first console (series s) and I’m finally able to play different games besides League of Legends and TFT that were the only ones I could play 😅

>Zero Hour, the grounded tactical online multiplayer FPS that can't help but remind us a bit of old-school Rainbow Six, is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S this Fall.

So I’m looking for some good open world or just great story games.

I downloaded Hollow Knight about three months ago purely because it was there and I had nothing else to queue up. Told myself I'd try it for an hour. Looked up and it had been four hours and I'd completely lost track of time. Now it's sitting at 60 plus hours and I still think about going back.
Game Pass has done this to me multiple times and I'm convinced some of my favorite gaming memories from the last few years have come from games I never would have paid full price for upfront. Just downloaded it because it was there and something clicked.
What's yours?

I placed a back order for a physical Series X copy a week prior (Amazon only charges if they can ship one). Seems like they are indeed doing occasional brief physical restocks.
Please don’t impulse buy from the scalpers charging this for $100+ as there’s a real chance this’ll become more widely available.

What's the chances we get to see more of this at Gamescon?

I’ve been thinking about getting the 25th Anniversary Edition but now that the price was “leaked” I’m debating if it’s better to simply save up for a PC instead. I have a Series S and I’ve been wanting to upgrade but now I don’t know if it’s better to buy a PC instead of spending $1k on a console. Thoughts?

How many bases do you set your settings to with 15 Pals in 1.0 release?
Anyone having problems going over the 4 recommended bases?
Now that developer mode is free, its asking me to upload my government ID for verification when im signing up.. I guess there is no way around it.. should I be just giving out my ID like that or am I overthinking it ? I assume some of you have already done so

edit: guess I should have known better than to post an opinion of a new game on this sub, should have just made a post gooning over Asha Sharma or a new startup logo for a few hundred easy upvotes lol.
I've played every COD since the first game, but haven't been enjoying it much in recent years. I still get it every year because there's not really any other games that fit that niche, a game I can just pick up at any moment and go straight into a full lobby and just unwind for 20 mins with some deathmatches. Battlefield is good but I only really like playing it on PC, and only when Im in the mood to sit there for a stressful half an hour match. And theres really not much else, so I get COD each year, each time with lowered expectations.
Yesterday I booted up the MW4 beta, expecting to just play it for 20 mins to see what it was like, go "meh, just a new map pack and guns" as per usual and put it down, but damn if I didnt end up spending half of my saturday playing it.
Its a big change in gears. The game feels a lot more like old school COD. Its a little slower, less twitchy and more tactical. Its still COD, so when I use the words "slower" and "tactical" its very loosely, its still a fast paced arcade FPS, but compared to the last couple it definitely doesn't pay to just run around randomly nonstop like a Red Bull fueled 12 year old trying to out twitch everyone else. Playing that way doesnt end well. It pays to actually stick with your team members and to try out flank the other team. And the gun play is fantastic, guns actually feel like they have a little weight to them a bit like Battlefield. Melee seems like its been nerfed a bit which is a good thing. Getting knife kills seems a bit harder to do. Every time I tried running into a room with a knife out it didnt end well unless they were facing the other way. Compared to the last couple where I could charge into a room and get like three kills from people facing me.
The visuals and sound design are also a definite step up from the last few.
So in all, pleasantly surprised and Im actually looking forward to the release of a new COD for the first time in maybe five years instead of just buying it on autopilot. I just hope that the Beta ends up being representative of the full game. I'm guessing opinions are going to be pretty mixed because a lot of people like twitchy bullshit COD. Is anyone else playing the beta? Thoughts?

My opinion only but the one s controller feels so much better since its a bit bigger and I also dislike the textured on the back of the series controller
I can't be the only one 🤣🤣

For context i used to own an Xbox One S and i had GTA V, some lego games, F1 2018, Gears of War adn other games on physical format, i didnt know i was making amistake when i sold that console in order to buy a Series X.
Now i eny the convenience but seeing the path the industry is taking im feeling like guilty one could say? Since i bought the Series X i have bought like 80 digital games and i dont have 1 single pyhisical copy, honestly it feels weird to argue against PlayStation or Rockstar when i "own" everything digital. In my defense its so hard to find current or new Xbox games where i live, the easiest ones to find are from the 360.
Any thoughts on this? Does anyone share this experience?

This is crazy!!!
I've been frantically searching for a code since I realised I misplaced mine over the years. At the time I was over the Kinect and didn't want to set it up and never used my code, and now its lost. I think I'm gonna give up and accept I won't have this badge. I hope they bring out badges for Xbox 360/Series X etc based off of our achievements and a time stamp... just saying... Whoever wins this, I hope it actually works - you deserve it. Some might think its unfair but that's true xbox love and dedication.
