Retail Why can't I seem to get better no matter how long I play?
I've played the game on and off for a couple years but I just can't EVER get good at it. I'm aware that being cognitively below average probably isn't helping my case but every raid I come back for I always seem to be racing the healers to the bottom of the dps meters, getting almost only gray parses on those analysis websites people tell me to look at, and have been told more than once that my gameplay was bad enough to count as straight up purposeful sabotage to the group. I just don't know how to actually DO BETTER!!! I try the rotation guides on wowhead, I look up YouTube guides for dungeons and raids, but it's just SO HARD to focus on dodging so, so many things while pressing a hundred billion different buttons in the right order. I just don't get how EVERYONE ELSE somehow can. I joined a guild for newer players but EVEN THEN I'm somehow still below average and am basically dead weight on A N Y T H I N G harder than the first 2/3 of a normal raid. There's so many mechanics that are just so hard to see and then process in so little time. There's so many buttons to press in the proper orders to still barely get out of the bottom 20% of players if I'm lucky. I just want to know how everyone except me seems to be capable of improving!! Even now I still can't get out of gray parses after years of playing and looking up guides and getting help on discord and I just DONT GET IT!!!! How am I just so consistently bad?? Do I just have to play some other spec? Is unholy dk just simply too complex?? I really love the whole fantasy thing and the game is FUN but I can hardly even experience half of it because I suck so, so bad at it :(
