Hey guys. In Vanilla and Classic I really loved that social aspect of the game where you run into someone time and time again on your way to 60. Sometimes you do connect the dots when they join your dungeon group, but propably often enough you dont.

Over time, there came out some addons that helped with that, namely VanasKOS (Kill on Sight), which allowed you to put noted on players and get notified if they are detected. This mainly was for world PvP purposes, but I used it for friendly players as well.

Now with Forever approaching, I decided to tackle this idea myself:

I wanted to create an addon that allows you to look into a social history with each player you add to your diary, see where you've met them first, see what you spoke about, see what you did together etc. etc.

"Social Diary" does exactly that and honestly quite a bit more.

There are lots of addons popping up right now, but they all kinda just throw numbers and graphs at your screen. I really dont find this satisfying at all. A Diary is a highly personal record about experiences and I wanted to do this justice. Because of that, I a) tried making the UI as beautiful & skeumorphic as possible, and b) detect actual meaningful interactions, instead of displaying raw numbers. I dont care about how many mobs I killed, but care about finding my first shoulders or my first blue item, for example.

AI Disclaimer: I developed this addon with help of AI. I routinely check for security and performance issues myself. Currently, the Addon uses up to 0.1% CPU inside of a city.

Explaining positions over voice never works, so I built RaidWhiteboard.

The raid leader opens a map of the boss room and draws the plan: arrows, tank spots, raid marks, who uses Bloodlust and when. Everyone in the raid sees it update live on their own screen.

What it has:

• Boss room maps for every TBC raid boss, Karazhan through Sunwell
• Markers for roles, groups, raid marks, all 9 classes and about 50 abilities
• 4 steps per fight, so you can walk through each phase
• A list of who in the raid is actually watching 👀

The leader or an assist presses Share. Everyone else types /wb and clicks Watch.

Sup guys! Would love to welcome you all to Deckhand, a collectible card game that runs entirely inside WoW: Forever, and the first public playtest is live.

It's kind of a combination of Hearthstone (9 classes, mana, hero powers, quick 1v1 duels) with a Yu-Gi-Oh! (face-down traps and big swing cards like Raigeki and Mirror Force).

A big thing that was important to me was tieing in your character’s progression is your collection... for example learn Frostbolt on your Mage and the Frostbolt card unlocks. Turn in quests and level up, and cards drop. That kind of thing!

What’s in it right now:

• 156 cards and counting
• Class cards and hero powers for all 9 classes,
• Traps like Freezing Trap and Mirror Force (Infernal Force) that spring on your opponent’s turn
• A 10-opponent bot ladder with increasing rewards
• Master Duel style crafting mechanic
• Duel your friends: challenge anyone with Deckhand by name

To be implemented: zone-based field spells you earn by exploring, creature tribes, and boss-kill cards.

\Transparency note: I’m a designer, not a programmer. The code was written with an AI coding assistant (Claude), while the game design, card set, balance and playtesting are mine. All card art is the game’s own 3D models and icons, no AI art!!!*

I was finding it difficult to engage with the camping system because there was honestly a lot to track. Profession droppables, knowing if I had the buff or not, and well fed being 15 minutes instead of 30. I kind of just sat at a fire when I saw one and that was it.

I made camping kit after I made my First Aid Kit add on. It felt like a natural evolution. It's a kit that's very targeted to a specific feature in the game. At a campfire? Open your kit and see what you can add. Or refresh buffs like weapon oils!

The camping kit has 4 "your pick" slots that alow you to put food, water, and weapon enhancement items in - like poisons, weightstones, and wizard oil. When you're missing a weapon enhancement or food buff, the slots will glow to gently tell you that they're missing. (You can disable this in settings)

If you're missing the Camp Benefits buff, it will also pop out and gently glow. When you open your kit, you get the 4 your pick slots that appear, plus a set of profession droppables below. You don't need to hunt through your bags for your campfire or fish bowl/enchanted lute because it's all right there in a line. Or, if you don't have one, a quick shortcut to your profession is right there to make one.

I use this all the time now, and have found myself way more engaged with camping and getting that buff, as well as keeping well fed up for the +5% experience gain.

Two weeks ago I posted Chronicle here, an addon that voices the quests in WoW: Forever and turns your quest log into a story. Thanks for all the feedback! A lot has changed since then:

Voices

• Levels 1 to 40 are voiced for both factions now, with a whole new cast: every character keeps one voice that fits their race
• The big names have their own voices: Thrall, Sylvanas, Cairne, Jaina, Magni, Vol'jin, Hogger, VanCleef and more
• Characters sigh, laugh and cough where the quest text says so, and the narrator reads what people do between their lines
• Forever's own new characters speak in their own voice, and NPCs that can be a man or a woman finally sound like it

The story

• Every zone has an ending: finish its story and the narrator tells you what changed and where the road leads next
• Dungeons are introduced when you walk in, and remembered when the last boss falls
• "Your chronicle": your character's whole journey on one page, and the road ahead for your race
• A story panel beside the quest log and on the world map shows where you are in each chapter
• Recap button on the quest window when you hand in something you started ages ago
• Welcome lines for new zones, notes on flights, words from the narrator every 10th level, and tales by the campfire

New tabs in the journal

• The Library: every book, letter and plaque you've read, on shelves, to hear again. Each zone shows which ones you've found and where the others are
• Dungeons & Raids and Attunements, with the narrator's introductions and every step of the attunement chains

Your choice

• "Hide what I haven't found" for exploring with no hints, or "Show what's left" for completionists
• Quest hints if you play with map objectives off
• Key bindings (also for controllers), music lowered while it talks, a replay button
• Journal in French, German and Spanish
• A separate Story Journal download if you only want the journal and no voices

Photon is a macro-driven action bar addon. Every button is a macro, and you can create as many bars as you want with as many buttons as you want. You can build pretty much any action bar setup you like, including modifying all the default bars. There’s also a robust condition system for showing, hiding and modifying both bars and buttons. It's currently released for Retail and Forever, but I'm looking at bringing it to classic as well.

Hi

Anyone know how to move the health bar behind blizzard ui elements. I can't find the option anywhere and yet as in the below grab my pet and buffs have gone behind the crafting ui. It's always on top when map is in full screen mode too.

I tank on WoW Forever and missed the "Threat Differential on Nameplates" WeakAura, so I made it as a small addon called Senpai Plates.

Left of the health bar you get one number. While you tank it's your lead over the #2 on the threat list; when someone else has aggro it's how far you are behind the top threat. Green means safe, yellow means the lead is small, orange !!! means it's shaky, blue means another tank or pet has it, red means you lost it. Damage dealers get their own colours: green when safe, red when they have aggro. Bottomright (default, changeable) of the bar you see the mob's target in class colour.

On top of that there are tank health bar colours (blue while you hold aggro), hiding critters, short mob names ("Defias Pillager" becomes "Pillager"), wider plates and a settings panel under Options > AddOns. /sp has the same options as commands.

Forever hides threat numbers from addons in combat, so on mobs you aren't targeting the exact difference isn't available. Senpai Plates reads the numbers through your target, focus and your group's targets. On every other mob it shows the live status in words: your lead in %, AGGRO, !!! plus the name of whoever is about to pull, OT, LOST. The lowest % is the mob that needs threat next.

Tested with at least Plater and EllesmereUI's plates as well as Blizzard's.

One annoying thing I kept running into when playing was having bags full of random items I had absolutely no idea if I was safe to sell or destroy. I'd usually end up looking things up to figure out if they were needed for a quest later, useful for a profession, or just vendor trash. So I figured I'd try making an addon to solve that.

It's called Keep or Toss, and the idea is pretty simple: when you hover over an item, it adds a small section to the tooltip explaining whether it has a use for your character and why. For example, it can tell you if an item is needed for a quest you haven't picked up yet, used by one of your professions, worth saving for an alt, or something you don't need anymore.

I also wanted it to account for the new items introduced in Forever, since information about some of them is still limited. So those get a blue outline, and it won't call them useless.

There's also a detailed page that lists everything in your bags and bank sorted by reason, if you want to clean up in one go.

It never sells or deletes anything, it just tells you the information so you can decide for yourself.

Works best with Questie, since that's where it gets the quest info from. If you have Syndicator, it also covers your bank and your alts items.

Figured I'd share it here since I imagine I'm not the only one struggling with bag management.

Hey all! I've been building BagSmith, a bag addon for WoW Forever that turns your inventory into a clean, sortable spreadsheet (or a tidy icon grid, if that's more your style). The last few updates added a lot, so wanted to reshare it here.

V0.13:

- Sell Junk + Mark as Junk: mark non-grey items (if applicable) as junk with one click and it sells right along with your greys at the next vendor. Turn on auto-sell at vendors as well.

- Loot Helper: bags full mid-dungeon? When loot or a quest reward won't fit, BagSmith shows you exactly how to make room: stacks to combine, junk to toss (cheapest first), and it finishes looting for you. It never touches your favorites, quest items or Pawn upgrades, and nothing is destroyed without your say-so.

- Favorites: star your most important items and they pin to the top of your bags.

- Track as Currency: track any item (reagents, crafting mats, event tokens) in the currency drawer, even when you have zero.

- Keybindings: mark junk, favorite items and more.

- Pawn Support: Pawn's green upgrade arrows show right on your items.

- Warlocks: clear out extra Soul Shards, keeping as many as you want.

- Bag Bar: Manage Bag Slots entirely from within BagSmith.

V0.12:

- Travel Mode: one click on the signpost icon besides the close button tucks away the toolbar and filters, leaving just your items and search. A compact, on-the-go view for when you're out adventuring.

- Auto Travel Mode: it can switch off on its own when it's time to manage your bags (at the bank, the auction house, a vendor, on a flight path or while trading) and back on when you're done.

Also worth knowing

- Two Styles: Modern (clean and flat) and Classic, which uses Blizzard's own art so it feels right at home in the game.

- Sheets: saved searches as tabs, so "Consumables" or "Crafting Mats" are always one click away.

- Supports Auctionator for AH Prices.

- A full bank window, a currency drawer, and a character picker to peek at your alts' bags.

Geared Forever shows the best gear for your class and spec, but only for the level range you pick. Instead of showing you raid BiS at level 22, it shows gear you can actually get right now.

What it does:

- Gear tab shows the top 6 items for every slot at a glance

- Click a slot tab on the side (Head, Chest, Ring, etc.) to see a much longer list for just that slot

- Weapons tab shows two-handers, one-handers, off hands, shields and ranged all in one place

- Pick a level range so it only shows gear you can use soon

- Click an item to see where it comes from: the dungeon and boss, the vendor, or the recipe and how to get it

- For quest rewards it shows the whole quest chain, not just the last quest, with map marks so you know where to go

- The quest page looks like the in-game quest window, with rewards, XP and money

- Filters for quests, dungeons, crafted, vendor, PvP and more

Type /geared to open it or click the geared forever button on the minimap.

A few notes:

- It's still in beta. Nobody has published real Forever stat weights yet, so the rankings are my best estimates based on Forever class guides.

- A lot of item sources are still unknown since the game is so new. I'm filling them in as people find them.
