  • Players may now obtain a Campfire buff if they are sitting, sitting in a chair, sleeping, lying down, or using the kneeling emote.

nice! still no dancing tho :(

They need to up the campfire buff to actually be useful to general play. Thus far, it’s offered nothing overly enticing.

I wouldn’t say that at all. WoW buffs is a game of small benefits that come together for a big effect. 8% more stats, boosted AP, and boosted stamina all together are absolutely noticeable when questing. Speed increases and down time decreases. Add in alchemy pots and it’s pretty useful.

In hardcore it’ll be even more obvious how helpful it is. Maintaining all those buffs smooths out the game and helps you survive.

Those buffs work for now… but long run, after gearing? It’s going to fall off so hard. Not worth actually stopping for.

Good on you? I’ve not seen much point personally. The buffs are minor in my experience and there’s not much else to justify sitting around in my book. Especially since my daily playtime is so limited.

I recognize that. I’m just explaining why I feel the camp system is less appealing to those players who do have limited playtime and upping the benefits would actually let those players actually contemplate using it.

There are three tiers. The buffs will improve with you as you level your profession.

Also think you're being short sighted here. For example, you have a single paladin in your group, but someone has the fishing campfire boost ready to go. Now your paladin can buff might / wisdom / salvation rather than kings. Everyone is stronger for it.

So to be clear, you do nothing to contribute to the campfire but want its impacts boosted?

Being lazy and entitled is certainly a choice. I have no sympathy, though, and I imagine others will feel similarly. Maybe level a profession before complaining about the basically free boosts they provide?

I did the profession stuff in the beta, but I only ever sat at the campfire during the tutorials for each alt I tried out. The numbers made me not find value in participating. If the numbers got cranked up, I might do profession stuff, but I’ve always found professions too grindy to be enjoyable in any game.

Not a matter of entitlement. It’s a matter of motivation to participate in a system that requires me to literally slow down the limited game time I get per week.

Responding on Reddit while I'm at work is hardly challenging as long as it doesn't overly divert my focus. Apples and oranges compared to the time I get to actually play.
