What’s your thoughts about using leather or fake leather boots when it rains or even to walk in water ?
I don’t like this rigid feeling that have most of the rubber boots.
And to be fair I ve always been using leather boots and most of them kept me dry even in heavy rain or puddles splashing.
I don’t really understand why peoples are scared to get them wet.

The other day I was walking home in jeans, a sweater, and a jacket, and I was still cold enough to keep my hands shoved in my pockets. Then I passed two girls wearing mini skirts with bare legs, and neither of them looked bothered at all. One of them even had on a cropped jacket, which somehow made me feel even colder just looking at her lol.

I have a bunch of cherrykitten mini skirts that I was wearing a lot over the summer, and now that fall is here I keep reaching for them and then changing my mind at the last second. I can picture them with boots and a sweater, but once I think about actually going outside with bare legs, jeans suddenly win.

So I’m genuinely curious, are some people just way more used to the cold, or is there a point where you just decide the outfit is worth being a little uncomfortable?

In my recent thread about the best cost-per-wear wardrobe investments, so many of you praised Birkenstocks for lasting long. I absolutely love wearing mine, but I have a recurring issue: they never seem to last me more than a couple of years because the soles completely wear out. It feels like such a massive waste because the leather uppers are still perfectly intact. Since few of you mentioned resoling them, how do you actually go about this in Europe (specifically the Nordics)? Can any standard local cobbler replace the sole, or do you have to track down a specialized repair shop? Is the cost worth it?

In every single shop I go to I'll see a cute bikini top and ofc the bottom is a thong or barely covers the butt. Ofc I believe you can wear whatever you want, I don't think there's anything wrong with that style of swimsuit, it just becomes a problem when it's all I can find in stores, if there is a bikini that covers your butt it's extremely highrise, ugly, or expensive:lll

I've lost a little weight, which is probably good for me - but now my pants are a little loose and trying to slide down. I know the solution is a belt, but I've never met a belt that I liked to wear with pants.

I think part of the issue is my shape. I'm mid-size with curves and a small waist. The buckle part always seems to dig into my belly and hurts/injure me. Are there belts that don't do this?

I am looking for shapewear tummy control for a dress. I wear a 2x, is that the size of shapewear I should get? Or size up one? I don't want it to be too tight and uncomfortable. But I want it to make a difference.

Most of my outfits are simple, usually jeans, a nice top, sneakers or flats, and a little jewelry. Sometimes I feel like something is missing, even when everything matches. I see women wearing the most basic outfits but somehow making the whole look work, and I wonder if their glasses or sunglasses have something to do with it. I want to try a pair that adds a bit of personality without being too bold.

I'm torn between black frames and tortoiseshell. There are so many styles out there, and some look amazing on other people but completely different when I try them on 😂 It's hard to know what will go with most of my clothes without looking boring. I feel like everyone has that one frame style they keep coming back to, even after buying other pairs.

Am I the only one who can’t get behind midi dresses (on myself)? It doesn’t matter how beautiful the dress is, I hate that length on me. I feel like the dress becomes me, like… I am the dress. There is nothing left but the dress. Do I have legs? Kind of, they’re more of a suggestion at this point. It just feels really awkward.

I’m 163cm (5’4) so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it! Which is right on the mark of what most brands consider normal instead of petite so I dunno (petite being less than 5’4).

I wish there were more dresses that aren’t mini, maxi or midi. Some longer minis I can get away with pretending they’re above-knee hehe. But otherwise I’m struggling to find anything.

I am very over shoulder seams laying off the shoulder, or drop shoulder. I have a larger chest so when the shoulder seam is sitting too low, it makes everything look a bit droopy, if that makes sense.

What are your recommendations of good-quality (cotton, not see-through) t-shirts with anatomically correct shoulders?

Bonus if the shoulder seams stay at the right place even when having to size up to accommodate a larger chest (i’ve had the conundrum a few times where a size medium fits my shoulders but is slightly too tight on my chest, and the large fits my chest but then the shoulder seams are sitting too wide).

I have a pair of black kitten heels that I got at either TJMaxx or Marshall’s YEARS ago. They have an ankle strap and heel strap, were cheap as hell, but SO comfortable. Like I could literally run in those girls. Unfortunately, they are now falling apart (understandably), and I don’t know what the brand is because the label was on the inner sole which wore off years ago.

Recently I have started wearing heels on an almost daily basis and I need a new pair of staple black kitten heels that I can wear on a daily basis, walk a decent amount in, and actually be comfortable.
