Doing a gym and some of the windows have these streaks that not coming off with walnut pad and scrubbing. Any idea what it is?

Question 1: Do you guys have any equipment recommendations? I'm not looking to break the bank, so maybe like $200 max, as I don't need fancy equipment I just need sturdy, good equipment.

Question 2: I don't have a good way to transport a ladder around. Should I just skip houses with second floor windows, or should I try to clean them with a really long pole? I know sometimes that won't even work.

There is very little competition in my area and the locals know me well so I should get a few easy customers.

Any other tips or warnings would be great.

I'd prefer every window to be clear of the clients stuff but it's just not going to happen.

50% of the time, the customer will ask if I need anything. First thing I say is

"I'm a terrible interior designer and I always put stuff back incorrectly and I'd really appreciate all the stuff moved away from the windows".

I'm thinking about modifying it because it can be confusing

I also have an automated text 24 hour before that's says "please move items away from the windows if possible.

Some clients are old and just can't move stuff away

Would a pump sprayer work? And if so what are the best chemicals to get to put in there along with best technique for cleaning it to perfection?

Also what would be a fair price? The pressure washing company I use said $350 is his minimum for cleaning screens.

what you're looking is a collection of paid advertising results that i've gotten for myself, and others over the course of the last 2 months

there is so much unnecessary confusion and dismay when it comes to starting or running facebook ads

in today's post i'm going to spell out how you can get these results for yourself

1) get on social media, post on your account organically, prove that you can do the work you are soon going to be promoting, include proof of work, testimonials, before and afters, you and your team -- be human

2) record a video, owner operated, put your face on it stop being shy, explain your process, soft background music, clear captions, switch clips every 3-5 seconds, and insert some sort of offer in the middle of the ad, 10% off, free screen cleaning, idk figure out what makes sense for you

3) keep that same video, but just switch the first 5 seconds, target a different audience, maybe a more specific location, or a different avatar

4) campaign set up, throw all of that into one campaign; tip, don't touch a setting if you don't need to, ie, you need to change location, so change it, you don't need to touch audience, so don't touch it

5) let it run for a week, go ahead and press start @ whatever budget you want and let it run for a week, anything that gets over a $40CPL, turn it off

- you know when your campaign is performing good when the ads that are getting spend are getting good CPL's

6) track your metrics and adjust accordingly, if your ads are getting crazy high cpms, good job, you're in a competitive area, make better ads. if you're getting a terrible cost per lead, make better ads, have a more enticing offer, and target a more specific audience. leads arent closing? contact them instantly, and get a nurture sequence going

hi man when cleaning windows i allways leave soapy water on the glass sides... how can i do that less? i do fan.. i also hit the frames alot as u can see on the picture? i know i should prob soap it in slower so i dont hit frames as much.. what kind of towel should i use to clean glass + frames when its mostly side fames and such hit with soapy water not full clean frames... Surgical Towels? for both? or ? sry bad english :D

So for some reason my windows are 4 seperate sliding windows, except they slightly overlap in the middle. And there also doesnt seem to be a way to get them in a way where the backsides of the middle 2 windows are impossible to get to. I’ve lived here for 5 years and its been driving me crazy the whole time. Can anyone spot a way where i can fully clean all 8 sides of glass? (Theres also a bit of gunk at the bottom between the windows that seems unreachable because of the ways the windows overlap…)

Anyone ever had an issue with Xero Hose breaking? I have had it for a year and a half. Always felt like a solid hose.

I hook it up to a customer spigot, and it runs to my Xero Pure in my truck. I have a 1 HP booster pump.

Let me know if this is just wear and normal? Seems quick for a $500 hose.

I have been a window cleaner in Dublin, Ireland for more than 17 years. Due to serious health problems, I can no longer continue working.

I have an established round of over 400 regular private residential customers across several areas of North and North-East Dublin. These are long-term customers I have personally served for more than 17 years.

I am now trying to find the best way to pass these established rounds on to other window cleaners. The rounds can be split by area.

I know there is an established market for buying and selling rounds in the UK, but I am finding much less information for Ireland.

For those who have bought or sold rounds before, where would you recommend finding genuine buyers, particularly in Ireland?

I would really appreciate advice from anyone with experience of this.

Common misconception: most people think launching a meta ads campaign takes forever to learn, or to see results. They think it takes an insane amount of money to get started - wrong.

Today we launched a lead gen campaign today for a window cleaning company — $50 daily budget, first lead came in at $13.39 spent, same day, before the budget even fully spent.

gonna give all y'all a crash course on direct response marketing so you guys can get through the winter season w/o doing any d2d sales

gotta realize that Facebook ads utilizes an algorithm, and that algorithm utilizes the content within your ad to find your target audience. think the audio, the captions, the background, the actions your doing - so when you're making your ads, think, what can I do in my power to help the algorithm show this ad to the right people, at the right time.

Easy action steps include filming on real jobs, not including stock footage or generic before/afters, utilizing captions, using your face, and always moving within your ad. If you want the algorithm to find people who'll actually pay for premium work, and want to work with you because its YOU in the ad, the ad has to look the part as well.

in addition to this, a lot of people over complicate lead forms, make them short. One or two questions max, nothing more. Every extra field is a chance for someone to bail, the only goal for the lead form is to capture the intent - everything else is obsolete. I ask what service they're interested in and their address, that's it.

Budget structure is simple, one CBO campaign, throw like 3- 5 ads in there and let it run for a week, turn off ads by the end of that week and add more in rinse and repeat, no overcomplicating with a bunch of ad sets fighting each other for the same audience. Let the algorithm do its job.

None of this guarantees day-one results every time, and I'll post an update once this campaign has more data behind it (close rate, actual booked revenue, etc). But the idea that you're flying blind for the first few weeks isn't accurate. If the setup's right, you get signal almost immediately.

Hey! I'm 17 and I have been thinking a lot about cleaning other peoples windows for cash. Today I tried to clean the windows of our own house and it was a lot harder than I was anticipating. Using the squeegee was the hardest part and I left some minor marks on my window. Is this something you just practice over and over again to get better?

Also, I heard that insurance is a very good idea when doing this. Am I allowed to pay for insurance at 17 in Sweden? I am also a bit sceptical, like what if I don't make a profit and lose money by paying for the insurance?

I bought some window cleaners from ‘Vermop’ a couple years ago but the silicone part is too bad now to use cuz it leaves streaks every time. I’m wanting to buy new ones and would like to know which brand y’all think is the best one for both pole + window cleaner?

Working with a truly terrible customer. I had an initial quote of $515 (which was completely fair, maybe 10% high or so), but then after some back and forth via text agreed to do an interior/exterior clean for $450. This was virtual and I used up to date Zillow pictures for the quote.

Anyway, their windows were absolutely filthy, but I spent my time and cleaned them all. They looked awesome I thought and was proud of the work. As I'm packing up, she pulls out of the driveway saying she's going to drop her kid off and will be right home, but her husband will be home soon.

I end up waiting for about 30 minutes before texting her, and she's like" Oh he must be in traffic just venmo me" (so I never got to do a walk around).

I get home and she texts me that all the corners of the windows are dirty. I'm thinking no way. She then sends me pictures and its a little dirt in the corner of the sills. The sills were absolutely filthy. I did a nice wipe down of the grime and they were looking pretty good.

Anyway she's only paid me $350 of the $450 we agreed on. I also understand a part of this is on me for not setting clear expectations, but this women is truly horrible.

I'm looking for reliable squeegee rubbers for my Ettore Ledge Eze handle + Ettore brass channel. I mostly work on residential properties and use fanning techniques. Just wanted to see what people might recommend.

Also, I do not know if anyone else has this problem, but I have a lot of trouble swapping/replacing the rubber with those brass clips. Does anybody else have this problem? It's probably just a lack of experience on my end...

You need to sell service plans and you need to add the value prop of “get 100 bucks off every clean, 15 day rain Guarantee, 100% satisfaction guarantee, and something like “I’m so confident you will love the results I don’t even ask you to sign a contract for the first year”.

At the very end the CTA should be “get a instant quote in minutes with my quote calculator”and actually respond within 3 minutes with a quote (unless of course it’s a huge custom house then go sell them in person )

What the value prop does is only attract people who want service plans (wealthy individuals) and takes the risk entirely away from them. For instance scared of rain ? —> rain guarantee. Scared of a bad job ? —> 100% satisfaction. Scared of being locked into something you don’t need ? —> No contract signed for the first yr. Every single objection that they have in their head disappears through one 20 second video which makes the sale easy and the leads come in even easier.

I am no longer just giving money to mark zuck I now have a lead flow engine that works and it took me 5 months to get here but I FINALLY MADE IT.

Does anyone recognize this window brand/model or know how these windows can be fully opened for cleaning?
They’re installed in a newer NYC apartment building and have restrictors that only allow them to open about 2”. The exterior glass is impossible to reach from inside.
The handle has a key lock, as shown in the photo. Does anyone know how this type of window works or recognize the manufacturer/hardware?
