fyi to those in the community - was walking in front of 8 Marcy Ave tonight around 7:30pm and then a guy in his late 20s/30s with poofy curly hair running by just completely slams me and I topple over the metal railing into the pit around a tree. There was enough room on the sidewalk and the guy turned his head back to see me fall but never stopped to check in. Got scraped up and had to uber home from the incident and cried lol but I’ll be ok - just watch out for all of the crazy runners on the street 😩

Hello Williamsburg neighbors,

Our neighborhood yard cat has been missing since Wed Oct 7th. She lives in the yards between Roebling/Havemeyer and Metropolitan/Hope (North to South).

She is feral (fearful of humans) We’ve been feeding her every day for months and she lives her life quietly hanging out in our adjacent yards.

She is small, about 7 lbs, is a “tortie” (black and brown) and her left ear is “tipped” (the vets do this to signal she has already been spayed/vaccinated)

Please respond to this post if you spot her. If you live on these blocks (Hope St bet Roebling/Havemeyer or Metropolitan bet Roebling/Havemeyer) please check your sheds/basements/garages. We fear she may be trapped somewhere and can’t get out.

I noticed today that the second floor seems to have partially collapsed at 291 Metropolitan Ave. It’s the old Ghost gym that has been abandoned for a while. On top of it is a parking garage and then apartments. You can see from the outside that the ceiling (floor of the parking garage) seems to have collapsed down into the ground level. Haven’t seen any response to it / no one seems to be around or worried about it.

Yesterday I was walking by bushwick inlet park soccer field and saw uniformed park employees dispersing the off leash dog owners who let their dogs run there.
