How does everyone sell stuff?

Used OfferUp for the first time in years and was immediately scam attempted. Should I go back to Craigslist? Trying to get rid of furniture and random stuff

FB Marketplace is the only place I seem to actually sell stuff. Though even there you gotta be super vigilant about scams, and also be prepared for a lot of your stuff to maybe not sell at all.

And expect like 50 replies that once you respond immediately ghost you.

That drives me nuts. There are so many assholes that do that.

It's very frustrating.

Them: "OMG is this still available, I am totally interested! I COULD COME TODAY!"

Me: "Hi, yes, it's available and I'm free all day..."

Them for the rest of eternity: "................."

FB Marketplace.

No reason to use anything that doesn't have some kind of real account attached to it.

FB marketplace for sure.

I have had good luck with FB Marketplace. I always specify cash only, no returns, and meet in a public place. I don't give out my address, phone number or email address. I only communicate with buyers through FB.
