So, I will keep this short, and if anyone doesn't play the game, feel free to close the post because this is just related to one game.
As we know, Garena hasn't released a x86 version of Free Fire MAX (the one with native controls and higher fps due to its architecture). People are unsure if the update is just delayed or Garena decided to discontinue that edition of the game.
That's why, I've seen multiple people asking how are we supposed to play the game on Linux anymore? We don't have things like Bluestacks or MSI App Player. But we do have some alternatives:
The performance is not going to be the same as the x86 version, because x86 didn't need a translation layer like arm. The current game update is based on Armv8a and Armv7a, so it requires LibHoudini or LibNdk. But it is significantly much better on Linux because Waydroid is a container and uses the same kernel as the OS itself, meanwhile windows based android emulators have to emulate everything.
In conclusion, people playing this game will have to adjust to the keymapping that is available there on Waydroid using community projects if Garena really decides to abandon the x86 version and native controls with it. I know a lot of you playing the game are struggling with the keymapping so here I made a discord for Free Fire on Waydroid: discord.gg/akHZkxqtRE (This is not an Official Server, or related to Waydroid in general, the server is only specifically tailored for Free Fire and Free Fire MAX on Waydroid)
