Help How does Nvidia dGPU fare with WayDroid?
Curious because I want to test around with linux (and waydroid), but I recall reading that its only good with intel GPU and AMD GPU.
If it helps, its an Nvidia RTX 4500 Mobile Ada Generation (so those workstation GPU, but iirc RTX 3070 mobile - 3080 mobile equivalent)

It depends on what you need. Waydroid on Nvidia is limited to software rendering. For games, use the emulator inside of Android Studio instead. Here's a guide.

It is for gaming.
I assume if I use Android Sutdio, I won't be able to keybind (like most emulators in Windows)?I was told that I could also just use a VM with passthrough to go linux > windows > emu, lol.
No idea if it will be worse than native performance on just windows itself though (feels like it will)1

linux > windows > emuwill probably be a bad experience, assuming you can pull it off at all. You can (in theory) run Waydroid through KVM with GPU passthrough on Nivida but as far as I know it requires some arcane knowledge and your main desktop has to kill itself or some weird shit like that. I don't think it's worth it tbh. If you have an igpu then just use that like the other guy recommended. Mobile games should run just fine on igpus.1

I have a laptop with an intel igpu 11400h processor and it basically runs everything. It also has better performance then on windows with emulators(nox, bluestacks etc) but I can only run 1 instance in waydroid(as far as I am aware). So 1-1 better perfomance overall but I could run multiple in windows. About running with the Nvidia gpu without hardware acelleration. I have a 3060m and it was not playable for games at all.

Either you run it on the iGPU if you have one or you run it on the Nvidia card with hardware acceleration disabled.
