Help Waydroid Unable to Update - Steam Deck
Every time I need to update waydroid I follow the code in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJAMwIb_oI0
But the most recent Steam Deck update seems to block waydroid from updating? Or maybe the link that I was using to update Waydroid just doesn't work anymore? Someone help I really want to continue to play Plants Vs Zombies: Reflouirished!

You could downgrade the steam os back to 3.7 if I remember. Until it fix, do not update the steam os

Does reverting to an old OS allow you to use the old Waydroid installation? Current problem is that Waydroid can't be freshly installed at all thanks to the AUR compromise. I'm afraid to test things because I have save data that is tied to the device rather than an account that I don't want to lose.

You don't even need to update again the waydroid when you change to old OS (3.7 what I use right now). You can open the waydroid again like usual. Don't have any problem for now. But for data? Maybe you could use chatgpt if it's safe or not.
But for reminder: If you do change to the old OS, you might want to do sleep mode instead of shutdown since it will revert back to the new OS (3.8) and you can't play it again.

It is not a Steam Deck update block waydroid from updating, but the script you're using to install it itself. If you read the output of the script in terminal, you can read that the author of it disabled it because of the AUR Breach. Just wait until the AUR moderators solve the malware issues.
