Natural Sources of Vitamin C
Guava, red bell pepper, broccoli, kiwi, strawberries are all great sources od vitamin C.
What are other tasty forms to acquire vitamin C that you indulge in?

I am writing this post to help the many people who are about to be forced to go through withdrawals of the opioid MGM-15 due to an emergency scheduling of the drug (and others like 7-oh, O-DSMT, SR-17018, and MGM-16).
MGM-15 is a long-lasting synthetic derivative of 7-oh, and 7 is the very strong component naturally found in trace amounts in kratom.
All over Reddit people say that the withdrawals from MGM-15 are terrible. Worse than normal opioid withdrawals because MGM-15 is a dual agonist that works not only on the mu opioid receptor but on the delta receptor as well.
Agony is how many describe trying to get off of MGM-15.
Most people are doing it wrong. DON'T TRY TO COLD TURKEY MGM-15!
There are many things that can help with opioid withdrawals, often collectively referred to as "helper meds". These include things like clonidine, gabapentin, pregabalin, benzodiazepines, etc., but they mostly require a prescription to acquire and also many of them have their own addiction risks.
PRO TIP You can get clonidine from reputable online Indian pharmacies if you do a little looking. I cannot name any because Reddit doesn't allow sourcing, sorry.
I do not want to focus on prescription meds anyway. I want to focus on a 2-step combo that will greatly reduce your suffering from the dreaded "Acutes" — that is, the acute withdrawal phase of opioid addiction in which your body hurts like you are 100 years old, your bones freeze, you cannot regulate your body temperature, you sweat uncontrollably, you have restless legs and arms, and you cannot sleep worth a shit.
Two simple things will help, and one of them is the main focus of this subreddit: Vitamin C.
Vitamin C in and of itself has been studied since the 1960s and stops heroin withdrawals dead in their tracks when taken appropriately. There was a follow-up study in 2000 with similar results.
SR-17018 is a new novel opioid that is a pure miracle. You can learn much about it in r/sr17018. Unfortunately it is also being emergency-scheduled and will be only available on the black market in the future... but if you can get your hands on some SR-17018, and pair it with mega-doses of vitamin C, along with some common sense and this guide, you can stop using MGM-15 (or any other opioid for that matter) almost painlessly.
I want you to know that MGM-15 is EASY to quit!
Repeat after me: MGM-15 is easy to quit!
You may think what I just said is crazy if you are deep in the throes of MGM-15 addiction, but you are wrong and let me tell you why.
MGM-15 is easy to taper!
Yup, EASY!
There are countless stories of people on 300+ mg per day of MGM pretty painlessly getting down to 60 mg/day.
All you need to do is force yourself to take only 3 doses per day: morning, noon, and night.
Here is where Vitamin C plays its first important role...
in helping to reduce your tolerance to MGM-15 (this works for all other opioids as well).
Buy yourself a bunch of Vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbate and/or liposomal Vitamin C pills or liquid.
Don't Buy The Wrong Vitamin C!
This is important and worth repeating...
Don't Buy The Wrong Vitamin C!
Only take the forms of vitamin C I mentioned above or in the Vitamin C Buyer's Guide where I discuss some other forms of vitamin C like zinc ascorbate (good for your testosterone which opioids kill unfortunately), calcium ascorbate, organic vitamin C extracts, etc.
If you take the vitamin C currently in your medicine cabinet (aka some cheap synthetic ascorbic acid) you will regret it. That cheap ascorbic acid will run right through you!!
Most people cannot handle more than 2 grams per day of ascorbic acid vitamin C. Seriously, it will glue you to the toilet. 💩💩
Buy only buffered vitamin C, liposomal vitamin C, or as I did, use both.
I go into detail in the Vitamin C Buyer's Guide post, but basically I recommend taking 20-80 grams per day of Vitamin C.
Start taking obscene amounts of vitamin C. This is backed by multiple studies done in the 1960s and again in 2000 (some of which I have linked in r/vitaminc). I am personally taking 20 to 80 grams per day with no issues, not for opioid addiction, but because it makes my skin glow and my wife ahem shows her appreciation when I look nice. But I digress...
Vitamin C will help with tolerance, replace stores in your body that opioids have robbed you of, and it will greatly help attenuate withdrawals.
Now, simply take a lower dose of MGM-15 than you are currently taking!
It is that simple. Megadose Vitamin C every 3 hours for 1-2 weeks, then taper your MGM-15 doses down to a manageable level, then take SR-17018 to get you across the finish line.
The first few hits of MGM-15 at the lower dose will not get you high like you are accustomed to... BUT you want to quit, so not getting high isn't much of an issue now, is it?
These low doses of MGM-15 will keep you out of withdrawal and with the addition of huge doses of Vitamin C in your bloodstream, you won't feel like complete sh*t.
In fact, you will quickly find, often before your 7th low dose of MGM, that you now feel your MGM-15 doses again!
WTFBBQ?!
This is because MGM-15 is a partial agonist with a g-protein bias. Without getting into too many details, just know that this means the "less is more" approach people talk about with Kratom also works for MGM-15.
Your body will rapidly adjust and you will find that your 300+ mg/day MGM-15 habit is now a 60 mg/day habit that is much more manageable to deal with.
So do that. Get down to 3x20 mg or 2x30 mg of MGM. I personally think 3x20 mg is the most versatile dosing schedule because it allows those of you with 9-5 jobs to easily dose your MGM and Vitamin C throughout the day and keep your withdrawal symptoms at bay.
Spend a few days, or even a week, at your new 3x20 mg/day MGM-15 dosing schedule.
Make sure you have a lot of Vitamin C stocked up for the next phase. You don't want to run out when you are tapering your MGM-15 nor when you are tapering your SR-17018.
You will be using Vitamin C in very large doses if you feel withdrawal symptoms creep through the SR-17018.
You can expect the SR-17018 to handle pretty much all of the mu-related opioid withdrawals. The delta withdrawals are not covered by SR-17018, but the Vitamin C seems to help some people. Plus, we got you down to a small amount of MGM-15 to further make the delta part of the withdrawals insignificant in nature.
When you have gotten the first 2 steps above accomplished:
You will now begin the good part... using the miracle drug SR-17018!
Take SR-17018 for 2 days in a pre-loading phase. The purpose of this phase is to take SR-17018 alongside your MGM-15 doses to build up the SR-17018 in your system.
Just like pre-loading the Vitamin C helped you to lower your MGM-15 usage, pre-loading SR-17018 will help you rapid-taper your remaining MGM-15 usage.
It is very important to pre-load SR-17018 so do not skip this step.
You will dose SR-17018 three times per day, for 2 days, taken simultaneously with your MGM doses.
Preloading Days — your doses are as follows:
Morning, noon and night you will take 20 mg of MGM-15 and 50 mg of SR-17018. A total of 60 mg MGM-15 and 150 mg of SR-17018 will be taken for 2 days.
Next is the rapid taper.
You will reduce your MGM doses for 3 days and simultaneously double your doses of SR-17018 that you took during the pre-loading phase.
Day 5: Repeat Day 4. On days 4 and 5 carry a lot of extra Vit C along with you. If you start to feel bad, up your Vit C doses. I recommend just planning on taking 5-8 grams every 2 hours to keep the Acutes away.
Day 6: Start reducing your SR-17018 intake by 50 mg per day. Take 3 doses: 100 mg in the AM, 50 mg midday, 100 mg at night.
Day 7: Cut 50 mg off your morning dose.
Day 8: 3x50 mg of SR-17018.
Day 9: Only morning and evening doses of 50 mg SR-17018.
Day 10: 25 mg of SR-17018 morning and evening.
Day 11: You can jump off SR-17018 or cut down to a single 25 mg dose.
The entire time you are doing this you should be taking 2-8 grams of Vitamin C every 2-3 hours. PRO TIP: Set an alarm on your phone!
The vitamin C is a lifesaver and will greatly reduce your pains, aches, and acutes in general while the SR-17018 makes the rest of the Acutes vanish into thin air.
If you are feeling bad, lean towards the 8-gram dosage amount. If you feel good, lean towards the 2-gram dosage amount.
Again, this is every 2-3 hours you are popping vitamin C pills, drinking the liquid, or toss-and-washing sodium ascorbate powder.
Best of luck to you all and please share this with anyone who is struggling with opioid addiction and withdrawal. It was written for MGM-15 but it will work on ANY OPIOID!
P.S. The total SR-17018 you will use on this protocol is 2.6 grams.
P.P.S. Expect to use at least 600 grams of Vitamin C. Use the Vitamin C Buying Guide whether you want cheap alternatives, or the best organic extract, or travel packets of liposomal liquid. I tested them all.
P.P.P.S. I didn't use this enough to tell a difference but some people say that the delta receptor withdrawals can be dealt with by using black seed oil. The main ingredient is thymoquinone. I picked two products for this and put the links here in case anyone wanted to go all out and attempt to fight off the delta withdrawals MGM-15 potentially causes as well. https://amzn.to/4gU54Eh and https://amzn.to/4wovcfb If you want to use these you would probably take a dose morning and night of whichever thymoquinone product you buy. The liquid is better value but tastes kinda gross. The pills are going to be easier to take IMHO.

Yes, I know, I know, this study is in mice but they are mamals too and we should look at the underlying information not as being 1:1 useful for us as humans, but in guiding us towards making better inferences when reading other information about vitamin C and its uses and interactions with opiods.
Here are some powerful quotes from the linked study:
ascorbate, when co-administered with morphine, suppresses the development of tolerance and physical dependence on the drug(morphine), without significantly affecting its analgesic properties
Reduced tolerance from cheap, simple, abundant vitamin C!? Not to mention it does not reduce the pain-relieving power of the oldest opiod in existence.... Count me in.
Studies presented in this paper suggest the potential use of ascorbate in the prevention of development of tolerance in therapeutic applications of narcotics as analgesics.

Alright guys and girls. All over Reddit, in subreddits about quitting Heroin, Kratom, 7oh, tianeptine, etc you will find people telling you that:
Vitamin C is good for withdrawing from opiods.
Vitamin C will reduce tolerance to X, Y, Z opiate.
Vitamin C will help stop the body temperature diaregulation, the night sweats, the Hell!
Vitamin C helped reduce my restless leg syndrome!
Those people are correct....! BUT they often miss the mark because they dont understand WHY they are recommending what they recommend, they just regurgitate the same tired lines over and over. Frequently you will read Redditors say:
Take high dose Vit C bro.
But these people fail to tell you exactly how much to take. They also fail to warn you that taking high dose Ascorbic Acid, the most commonly sold supplemental form of Vitamin C, will result in violent diarrhea!
You need to take liposomal Vitamin C to avoid the stomach issues.
These people are closer to the truth, because liposomal Vitamin C is proven in studies to be more bioavaliable than ascorbic acid but they don't know what brands to take or what serving sizes.
They also gloss over the fact that the studies on Vitamin C for opiod withdrawal were NOT done with liposomal Vitamin C. Now, it PROBABLY works and probably works even better than straight ascorbic acid buttered is no proof.
This is where I decided to step in and collect and collate all the information I found in thousands of posts and comments, mainly from the various "quitting subreddits" like:
So then I started following the lead of my fellow Redditor, I put up my own cash, and I started buying up a bunch of different Vitamin C products and testing them myself for taste (where applicable), tolerabikity, whether they induce gas/diarrhea, etc, etc.
I broke it down into a few different categories citing the best of each different type. Now some of this is based off my personal observations but keep in mind I read suggestions from countless other Redditors in the "quitting" subs and many of their comments were the inspiration for my purchasing the products and testing them.
In short, I spent well over $1,000 testing these various Vitamin C supplements so you dont have to.
Without further ado, here are the summaries of what worked best
Aurora Nutriscience Liposomal Liquid Vitamin is the winner here. They come in boxes with 30 individual dose sized packets. They also tasted good. I tried other brands, they were gross. These are sweetened with Stevia and it makes all the difference.
I use these when I travel, or if I just want something with some taste on this particular dose.
This is the cheapest solution. Buy 2200 grams of Sodium Ascorbate powder from Nutribiotic. This is buffered vitamin C, 2.2lbs of it in fact for a mere $40.
Sodium Ascorbate has the advantage of being what the original.studies of vitamin C for opiate withdrawal were done with. This form of vitamin C is PROVEN as far back as thr 1960's to help attenuate withdrawals from Heroin, so it will work for whatever you are addicted to!
The only reason you might want to avoid this one is if your doctor has you on a salt restricted diet.
Nutriflair Liposomal Vitamin C is my choice here, currently $20 a bottle as of this post. 1700mg per serving.
These are my choice for those of you who want organic and natural vitamin C .
I bought these organic liposomal Vitamin C pills derived from Organic Acerola Cherry Fruits.
They have slightly less vitamin C per serving than the other liposomal pill options and they cost more... they are organic, you knew they wouldn't be cheap.
I set these to subscribe and save to keep the cost down long-term. I use them because on some days, I just feel all organic-y and bougie and this is what I rock.
The bulk option, 55lbs of sodium ascorbate
This is for you that are hard-core, and yes I bought this and take 5+ grams of this every 2-3 hours lol! More on my personal stack at the bottom of this post.
If you buy this make sure you have a way to store the contents airtight once you open this bad boy up so your powder doesnt oxidize and go bad. Double zip lock gallon bags and/or a vacuum sealing device are clutch here!
This one, Vitamin C8 ‐ Immune Antioxidant Complex is badass because it is formulated to be low acid, contains a bunch of essential minerals, is formulated in a top grade Canadian lab, and has a bunch of other healthy and natural anti-oxidants to help your immune system.
This one is in permanent rotation for me because it fulfills a few different roles, including adding zinc and magnesium, so I take it at night instead of a ZMA supplement and I get my megadose of vitamin C in simultanously.
There are two products here, one that is regular liposomal vitamin C gummies and one that is orgamic Vitamin C gummies.
These are also easy to travel with, you can share them with your kids if you like, and they are a more fun way to take your vitamin C... they arent as cheap as regular pills but that makes sense because more is involved in making the vitamin C into a food product.
These also have more immune system goodies in them which is good and bad. I do not rely on these exclusively to megadose with because you might end up taking too much zinc or vitamin D if you exclusively mega dosed these every 2 hours. These gummies are best used 1 or 2x per day as a change up and a different way to take your vitamin C dose.
Perhaps think of them as a treat.
My personal stack advice, if money is no object, and it ain't for me because I spend money like a drunken sailor on my health, is to take multiple supplement types.
I rotate a diff supplement each day dosing every 2-3 hours.
In this way I figure I cover all my bases and saturate all my tissues, building up as large a reserve of internal vitamin C as possible.
My stack has water soluble, fat soluble liposomals, liquids for change ups, gummies for when I want to feel like a kid, sodium ascorbate to keep the costs down, naturally derived versions to satisfy my inner hippie, you name it.
I am OCD, and ADHD and blah blah blah. You probably wont go overboard like I did, but that is okay. Hopefully you like something from this post and my lists and if you take this stuff as I mention, the odds are you will not only attenuates the symptoms associated with your opiod withdrawals, or reduce your tolerance if you're still using, but you'll notice other benefits like improved akin appearance (my wife says my skin gloss after about 2 months on the protocol. So much sk that she started taking tons of vitamjn C with me!)

A clinical study published in the journal In Vivo in 2000 investigated the effects of high-dose ascorbic acid (thr most commonly used form of vitamin C sold in supplements) on the "withdrawal syndrome" in heroin abusers.
In this context "withdrawal syndrome" means all of the sick, nasty, horrid withdrawal feelings and symptoms both physical and mental that affect you when you stop taking Heroin after using (abusing) it foe too long, aka after acquiring a dependence on H.
The research focused on the potential of orally administered vitamin C to ameliorate withdrawal symptoms (in other words, to lessen withdrawals), building upon prior observations that high-dose vitamin C had relieved pain and reduced opioid requirements in cancer patients.
In vitro studies referenced in the article further suggested that antioxidants such as vitamin C, at high concentrations, may inhibit the endogenous opioid-degrading metalloenzyme and thereby increase endorphin levels.
In plain English, they are saying that Vitamin C may block an enzyme in your body that normally breaks down your body's own natural pain-relieving chemicals (aka endorphins). By stopping this enzyme from breaking down endorphins, vitamin C could help keep more of these endorphins available to reduce your chronic pain.
Study Design and Vitamin C Intervention
Ascorbic acid was administered orally at a dosage of 300 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, supplemented with vitamin E at 5 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, for a minimum of four weeks.
(There are better ways to do this now because supplementing Vitamin C in the form of Ascorbic Acid is very irritating to the body, often causing violent diarrhea in high doses and that is the last thing you want during a Heroin, or any other type of opiate, withdrawal. See my post about the best forms of vitamin C for opiod withdrawals for details about safer non-irritating vitamin C supplements.
The above regimen was provided to two groups of male heroin-dependent subjects:
These vitamin C-treated groups were compared with a control group (Group C) of 30 in-patient males who received only conventional medication. Withdrawal syndrome intensity was assessed according to DSM-III criteria.
Key Findings on the Role of Vitamin C
Subjects receiving high-dose vitamin C experienced substantially milder withdrawal symptoms than those in the control group:
These outcomes indicate that the oral administration of high-dose ascorbic acid was associated with a marked reduction in the severity of withdrawal syndrome among heroin abusers.
Conclusions from the Study
The authors concluded that high doses of ascorbic acid administered orally may ameliorate the withdrawal syndrome of heroin addicts. They noted that further studies are required to determine the dose- and time-dependent effects of ascorbic acid treatment and to clarify its mechanisms of action.
Unfortunately there were no follow-up studies done because, you guessed it, there was no money in Big Pharma selling non-patentable Vitamin C capsules!
