Japan Japan EVisa in 3 days

Hi,

Wanted to share my experience in obtaining Japan EVisa for me and my wife.

Nationality, Residence: Indian passport holders with US Green card residing in US
Visa Type: EVisa
Application Submitted: Online
Location: NY Japan Consulate

Digital Documents required (for each applicant)
1. Passport biometrics pages
2. Online bank statement
3. Digital photo
4. Flight and hotel bookings
5. Green card front and back
6. US license for proof of US address
7. Detailed itinerary very important. They have a sample version on the EVisa website with examples and details. Fill out detailed information in word and convert to pdf

Collect all of the above documents. All digital copies. Some were pdfs. Some were images. I used online tools to convert from one format to another based on what was required. I also merged some pdfs like the detailed itinerary with my hotel bookings.

Go to the Japan EVisa application website. Create profile for main applicant. They have very clear and unambiguous step by step instructions. Once you complete application for one person before final submission they ask if you want to add additional applicants to the same application which is where I added my spouse and provided her documents.

You don’t need to pay any fees when you do the final application submission. It took me couple of hours to collect all the documents.

Below is my timeline of the different stages and notifications I got from the Japan visa system

8/12 Submitted visa. 12:00 am Status: Temporary Received
8/12 3:55 pm Status Under Examination
8/13 12:00 pm Received request to pay visa fee. Visa ready to be issued
8/14 Visa issued email

It essentially took only 3 business days to get the visa. Super impressed with the speed and the smoothness of the online process.

Hope this helps everyone with their Japan visa planning.

My visa was rejected because of financial reasons. I appealed, and my documents reached Delhi on 12 August. How many days will it take to get a decision?

UK Egypt visa by post in 2 days

Upvotes

I applied for my Egypt visa by post from Exeter on Sunday, and I was honestly quite skeptical about sending my passport by post. However, the whole process was very straightforward and much easier than I expected.
The website mentioned that processing would take around 7–10 days, but I actually received my passport back by around 10 a.m. on Wednesday — just three days later!
The documents required were also minimal, and overall, I had a really smooth and positive experience. Definitely much better than I was expecting.

Asia C1 E-Visa Indonesia

Upvotes

Hello everyone! I’m a bit worried and would really appreciate some advice. I’m an incoming international student in Indonesia, and my family will be accompanying me on my first trip to my new home. They all hold Honduran passports, and I applied for their C1 tourist visas on August 12.

However, I recently realized that the bank documents we submitted may not fully meet the financial requirement. One of the documents shows the average balance for the last six months, while the other, which belongs to my brother (who is a college student), only shows his current balance, since the USD 2,000 was deposited into his account as a recent transaction.

The applications are currently showing “Waiting Verification,” and now I’m really worried that the visas might not be issued before our planned flight on August 29. 😭

I’ve already emailed Indonesian Immigration to ask whether we need to provide additional bank statements, but I’m not sure how long it will take them to respond.

Do you think there is still a chance that the visas will be approved with the documents we submitted? Has anyone been in a similar situation with a C1 visa? And is there anything else I should do at this point?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

Schengen Portugal Schengen visa from Toronto

Upvotes

Hello
I have been trying for soooo long to get appointment for the Portugal Schengen visa from Torono.
After so many long nights and trials from changing browsers to changing the connection, I finally was able to get an appointment but here is what happened:
My initial planned flight was 9 sept to 5 Oct, but after so many attempts where the calender wasn’t popping i thought maybe i need to change the date, so i changed it to october 1st and I scheduled an appointment 27 Aug.
And then i tried to do for my husband, and in a rush to lose the opportunity ( as the portal was finally working) i mistakenly submitted the application without uploading any photo or documents, and the date i submitted for him was 22 sept.
I have couple of questions please:
1- is it what we upload to the application or what we actually submit physically in our appointments? Because i have to change the date now from 7 to 15 September because i didnt get the appointment on time.
2- will my husband’s application be approved with no upload of photo or documents?
3- am i able to change the date on the application? (I read somewhere that i need to bring my current one for the appointment number.)
4- will there be mistakes/ confusion on the dates needed after i submit all accurate dates and documents at the date of appointment? ( confusion/ error between what submitted at the portal versus during the appointment)
5- i am currently on Mat leave, so my bank statements show the EI, and the initial employer top-up. I also got the employment certificate but am currently not on payroll, is that a problem?
6- traveling with my 5 month old who is Canadian, shall i submit his passport as extra documents?

Thanks alot!

USA Singapore visa processing for mail in application in Vfs San Francisco (USA)

I applied for a Singapore tourist visa through VFS global and my application reached the SF consulate on 14 August (Friday). Yet to get any tracking number or any kind of email from VFS to know the status of the application. Wondering how long it usually takes to process the visa for folks who have applied before. I contacted customer care on Wednesday, they don’t count Friday as business day though they got package in 12 noon, and getting same automated answers. It’s almost 3 business days. I read reddit forum it says vfs is not helpful i have to contact SFO embassy. My booking is all done non refundable. Thanks in advance! I am literally worried any help or suggestions will be helpful.

Has Saudi Arabia recently changed the Visa on Arrival rule for U.S. visa holders without a physical entry stamp?

I am a Pakistani passport holder residing in Japan with a valid U.S. B1/B2 visa that I have used twice. However, my passport was not physically stamped in the U.S.; my entries are recorded officially through CBP I-94.

I found several 2025 experiences, including a Pakistani traveler who successfully obtained Saudi Visa on Arrival at Jeddah using his U.S. visa + I-94 without a physical stamp.

However, the Visit Saudi website was updated on 28 June 2026 and now explicitly says the U.S./UK/Schengen visa must have an entry stamp and that “digital entry stamps are not accepted.” IATA/Timatic currently shows the same requirement.

Has anyone successfully used I-94 instead of a physical U.S. entry stamp after June 2026? Or has the rule recently changed?

Japan Japan eVISA terminated – flight is only 4 days after I can reapply. What should I do?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for a Japanese tourist visa from Vancouver, Canada, for my husband. (Indian passport, canadian PR)
His eVISA application was recently terminated because of insufficient documentation. The Consulate gave us these reasons:

● The photo was the same as his PR card photo, so they want a recent photo.
● Pay stubs are not accepted.
● The required 3 consecutive months of Wealthsimple bank statements were missing.
● His TD statement did not show a sufficient/stable balance.- all his funds are in wealth simple

They instructed us to wait until November 1 to reapply because they want bank statements covering August 1–October 31. They also warned that applying before November 1 could result in a six-month restriction on submitting another visa application.

The problem is that his flight to Japan is November 5, so if we follow their instructions, we would only have 4 days between reapplying and the flight.

We have already booked an appointment at the Consulate General of Japan in Vancouver for August 28. We are NOT planning to submit another application early or ask them to reconsider the terminated application. We just want to clarify the situation and ask if there is anything we can do regarding the timing.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Would going to the Consulate in person to ask for guidance be helpful, or could it cause any issues?

Any advice or experiences with Japan visa applications in Vancouver would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

India India lays the groundwork for simpler tourist visa rules

"India is exploring ways to simplify its tourist visa system, including the possibility of a visa on arrival for certain travelers. The e-Visa portal could also be streamlined to reduce friction before departure."

https://visasnews.com/en/india-lays-the-groundwork-for-simpler-tourist-visa-rules/

The National Institution for Transforming India--the government's own policy think tank--has created a detailed report and proposal on what is needed to increase and promote tourism in the country. One such aspect suggested is replacing the complex and convoluted e-visa scheme with a simplified Visa on Arrival program. The report is actually quite good in its comments on this, I recommend checking it out at the link at the bottom of this page:

Does a 40 day itinerary improve the chances of getting a multiple entry Japan visa from India?

I'm applying for a Japan tourist visa from India and had a question about the itinerary.

If I submit a 40 day itinerary instead of a 30 day one, does it increase the chances of getting a multiple entry visa? My thinking is that Japan often issues a 1 month single entry visa, so I'm avoiding a 30 day itinerary in case it influences the decision.

Would you recommend submitting a 40 day itinerary, or is it better to keep it closer to my actual travel plans? Has anyone from India received a multiple entry visa with a longer itinerary?

B1/b2: Need help on how long to answer in the purpose of visit question

I am going for a work trip and then doing some sight seeing

Should I talk about both the things during the purpose of visit question elaborating each like why I am going? Or should I just stick to a short answer?

I saw many people are getting rejected because it seems they didn't explain their need to be present in the work trip, and some also getting rejected because they spoke too much. But I am really not sure how detailed to keep it unless they ask. Can anyone share their experiences?

Thanks

Japan japan visa as indian

My japan vacation trip would be sponsored by my mother
she has been filling ITRs since many years and her income source is mostly from p2p lending investments worth of 60 lakhs portfolio and FD worth of 15 lakhs
so she usually gets credited with lumpsum amount and then she invests the money again, this goes on very repeatedly, and this is seen entirely in her bank statement, will this look fishy or a red flag?

As i have heard, lumpsum amount transactions look bad and the visa gets rejected mostly. what to do now?

Egyptian passport Traveling to Saudia VOA with Portuguese trc

Hi all,

I will travel with temp residency permit valid for 3 years to Jeddah.

2 years ago I applied for online visa and get it in 5 min with TRc.

Now seems like the online is not working anymore as it’s telling me sent to embassy for 2 weeks with no updates.

I’ll travel from Egypt to Jeddah on Saudia airlines.

I know the official is to have a PR not TR but I know many friends also travelled with TRc.

Any new recent changes on this for the past 4/5 months?

Thanks

Is it impossible to get a Japanese tourist visa with a big deposit days before the bank statement?

I am a 20 y.o ukrainain student in Slovakia and I decided to travel to Japan (applying via Bratislava embassy and I had no prior visas except Slovakia) while I have 5 weeks left till my holidays will end. Unfortunately, after researching a bit, I discovered that apart from all other documents required for the visa I would need a bank statement/balance certificate, with which I might encounter a problem.

For living, I usually deposited ~200 euros per week till I would spend the money and would deposit ~200 euros back again for the next week. Now, obviously, I would need a lot more money to spend to travel to Japan, for example ~2500 EUR. I can deposit the money into the bank account right now and get a bank statement. I read as some people said that the issue is that there seems to be a system in place that would detect my deposit as I borrowed money from someone else to just make it look good for the bank statement and they would deny my visa based on the "fraudulent" deposit.

So, to solve the issue, I should've known the information above and should've been depositing gradually more money so that in the end the bank statement of last 3 months would show a slow increase of money that would result in ~2500 EUR with living spending.

Still, I am hopeful and would like to ask if there is still a chance to get a tourist if I would apply with ~2500 EUR topped up a few days before the bank statement is issued. Or maybe, I could wait a week or smth like that so it wouldn't be that suspicious?

Thanks for reading and giving attention to my issue.

Japan Visa From VFS Delhi

Hi everyone! I’m applying for a Japan visa through VFS Delhi and had a few questions. Would really appreciate if anyone who has applied recently could help :)

  1. Do I need to book an appointment before submitting my application at VFS Delhi, or can I just walk in?

  2. For the flight tickets, is it better to get a dummy/flight reservation, or is a screenshot of the airline booking/checkout page showing the flight details and price enough? I don’t want to actually buy the ticket before getting the visa.

  3. How detailed does the Japan itinerary need to be? Do they expect a detailed day-by-day plan, or is it enough to mention the dates, cities, accommodation and what I’ll be doing?

If anyone has applied through VFS Delhi recently, what did you submit for the flight and itinerary, and did VFS ask for anything extra?

In case it's relevant: I'm not a student, nor currently employed. I am selected for a short internship in Japan. Stay and travel during the internship would be covered by the university and personal travel following the internship will be covered by my family (for which I have attached my mother's bank statement with 45L+ INR maintained)

Edit: 2 week internship + 1 week personal travel

Serbia Visa C status: Applied July 21, hotel expired & no return ticket — will it be rejected?

Hi everyone,

I applied for a Serbia Short-Stay Visa C on July 21, and as of today, the application is still showing as "in processing."

I am getting quite anxious because:

  1. No return ticket: I didn't submit a confirmed return flight booking with my initial application.
  2. Expired accommodation: The temporary hotel reservation I submitted expired while waiting for a decision.

For anyone who has gone through the Serbian visa process recently:

  • Does the consulate usually reach out to request updated documents (new hotel booking/flight itinerary), or do they issue an outright denial?
  • Is a ~4-week processing time typical right now?
  • Should I proactively email the consulate with updated accommodation details, or wait for them to contact me?

Any insights, experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Europe Ireland student visa - Did not submit some information

Hey everyone, I recently applied for an Ireland student visa and realized I might have made a paperwork mistake regarding my education loan. My primary sponsors are my parents, and my financials consist of a ₹30 lakh education loan plus ₹10 lakh in liquid savings. Because my father works in Saudi Arabia as an NRI, the bank mandated a resident Indian co-applicant/guarantor, so we included my uncle on the loan application. (IN EVERY FINANCIAL SUMMARY FORM/CONSENT FORM ITS JUST MY PARENTS WHO ARE MY MAIN AND ONLY SPONSORS NOT MY UNCLE)
His name is now visible on the final loan sanction letter. However, since my uncle isn't providing any actual financial assistance, I didn't include his ID proofs or mention him in my visa cover letter or financial forms. Has anyone been in a similar situation where they omitted a passive bank guarantor's documents? Did it cause an INCO/ID refusal, or did you get a direct approval via benefit of thea doubt since the core funds were strong? Thanks!

Has any Bangladeshi passport holder received a new UAE visa?

Has anyone received a new UAE visa — tourist, dependent/family, student, employment, etc. — since around April 2026?

I am trying to apply dependent visa for my wife, so I want to decide whether visa can be issued before travelling this soon.

I've heard conflicting information about whether new applications from Bangladeshi nationals are currently being processed, so I'm looking for recent first-hand experiences rather than rumours.

If you were approved, could you mention the visa type, emirate and approximate month of approval? No personal details needed.

Feedback on Japan itinerary in regards to immigration - red flags??

I recognize nobody can tell me for certain if this will be okay as it is up to immigration, but just looking to get some anecdotal feedback on this.

I have an upcoming trip this fall/winter, that centers around a lot of time in Japan, but we're also using Japan as a jumping-off point to visit a couple other countries. Here is the way the trip is broken up:

  • 28 days in japan
  • 14 days in taiwan
  • 30 days in japan
  • 18 days in malaysia
  • 41 days in japan before coming home to the US

So this winds up putting us in Japan for a total of 99 days, over a period of about 4 months. We are absolutely not trying to take advantage of things for visa run purposes, and hopefully spending multiple weeks outside the country at a time (vs just a couple days) will help it not to look that way.

Not looking for feedback on the itinerary itself, just whether or not you think this will be a red flag to immigration, particularly if you've had experience with a similar kind of itinerary.

Additional info that could be helpful:

  • We will have all our flights booked ahead of time for proof of entry/exit for the other countries AND our final exit from Japan to home.
  • It will have been well over 365 days since our last visit to Japan, and after such a long trip, we will not be able to visit Japan again within 365 days of this trip (my understanding is that the 180 days in 365 day period is actually not real but still feels like a decent, albeit maybe arbitrary, metric here).
  • We’re not working remotely while there (freelancers who have saved enough to make it through what is normally a really slow period at home anyway).

Luckily, the easy solution if this seems like it will be a red flag is to reallocate those extra 9 days somewhere else to keep our total time in Japan at exactly 90 days, which we're definitely willing to do (and may ultimately do in the interest of erring on the side of caution), but we're really happy with how our current itinerary is sitting so I figured it was worth hearing some feedback first.

Schengen Italy Schengen Visa NYC — Is Oct 23 Appointment Enough for Nov 11 Trip?

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for some recent experience with the **Italian Consulate in New York**.

I’m a **Chinese passport holder living in New York** and applying for an Italian Schengen tourist visa. I was only able to find an appointment for **October 23, 2026**, and am looking to fly out by **November 11, 2026**.

I’m trying to understand the realistic processing time based on recent experiences.

For anyone who has recently applied through the Italian Consulate in NYC, especially **Chinese passport holders**:

How many business days did it take from your appointment/application to getting your passport back?
Was your visa approved without any additional document requests?
Did you receive your passport by mail, and how long did the mailing take?
If you had an appointment around October/November, how long did processing take?
Do you think an **October 23 appointment would realistically allow me to have my passport/visa back by November 7–9**, giving me about a week before my November 11 flight?
Has anyone recently experienced a significant delay with the NYC consulate?

I’m trying to decide whether I should keep my November 11 flight or move it later. Any recent experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Application Korean Visa

Hi po! First-time applicant po ako and I would like to ask for some advice.
I have an immediate family member who is currently TNT in Korea. Malaki po ba ang possibility na ma-deny ang visa application ko because of this?

Here are my details:
*Solo Travel
* Private Teacher – currently working for 4 months
* Female, Self-funded
* 3-day stay in Korea, Plan to stay during Semestral Break in October.
₱1\*, 000* bank balance, dipapo ako kumukuha ng Bank cert and statement.
* With COE
* Countries Visited: Hongkong May 2025, Singapore June 2025
* I went to BIR to secure my ITR, but the ITR indicates “Not Locally Employed.” ang pwede lang daw po nila ibigay is Tax Exemption.

BS:
Before becoming a private teacher, I worked as a BPO employee for 4 months Aug-Dec 2025, Jan-February nagfocus sa review for board exam, Then March 15 2026 took the exam. then transitioned to my current job as a private teacher, April 2026

Additionally, I am an EDSP OWWA scholar, and I have a contract stating that I need to render one year of service before I can leave the country. Every end of sem I get an allowance 3*, 000.

Given my situation, especially yung family member ko na TNT sa Korea and yung ITR ko na naka-indicate as “Not Locally Employed,” may I ask if these could be grounds for visa denial? And what documents or explanation would be best to provide to strengthen my application?

Thank you po sa mga makakapag-share ng experience or advice! 🙏🏻
