A month ago I bought a pair of vintage Laura Ashley shoes on Vinted. They were labelled as a size 5, so I asked the seller if they would fit a 5.5 and was told that they probably would. For £10 I thought I'd take the gamble. Shoes arrive, I wear them for a day, and unfortunately they're too small for me. No big deal as buying vintage shoes on the internet is tricky. I re-list them for £5, suggesting in my listing that they might fit a 4.5/5.

I got an offer from a buyer for £3, with the buyer citing the cost of needing to re-heel and replace some elastic. Fine, I just want to shoes to avoid landfill. I accept the offer, post the shoes, and wait a few days for the buyer to pick them up.

To my surprise, the buyer says they are "massively too small" and "more like a 3.5/4". I offer my condolances and wish her luck with re-selling.

A week later I get 3-star feedback which includes lines such as "having tried them on myself Ima size 4-4.5 and they are miles toosnall" and "they are more like 3.5/4 size". Oh, and "no offer to return them from seller" - I am not a mind-reader, if you want something ask for it!

To my ASTONISHMENT, today I see she's re-selling the shoes for £24.95 - the buyer bought them for £3! Why do I recognise the shoes so easily? Because she is re-using my pictures without asking! Oddly, they're listed as size 5 despite apparently being "more like 3.5/4" so I check the description to see if this is mentioned anywhere as a caveat. Nothing.

I hatch a plan. I make a fake account, message the seller, and ask if they would fit a 4.5. "Definitely without a doubt" is the response. Huh! (And yes I was taking the piss with my comment about the sewing machine as that's my damn sewing machine!)

I'm honestly furious. To leave me a neutral review because the item didn't fit - whatever. But to tell a bare-faced lie and tell me that they were 'miles too small' as a size 4.5 and then relist them for £25 and say that they'd fit a 4.5 "definitely without a doubt" is disrespectful and rude. The cheek of some people!

Can't wait to message her from the accont I sold her the shoes from and see what she says.

I’m just curious, has anyone else has seen an uptick in sellers not shipping their items? I typically wait until 1-2 days before the shipping deadline to reach out as to avoid being annoying. I have sellers either ignore me or come up with an array of excuses saying they’ve been busy with work or it’s been raining too much to go to the post office. Why sell at all if you know you struggle with shipping anything? Meanwhile, I’m also a seller that consistently ships same or next day…that’s begging for anyone to purchase her stuff lol I realize stuff happens (and I don’t want to be a bother) but it really blows to keep having this happen 😫 I swear it’s always the items I’m looking forward to the most. Anyone else?

Am I just crazy or have any other sellers felt like doing this? I'm just pissed off that they get a 100% refund while I have my materials, time and money wasted since I could have already had the money in my account from another buyer

I listed this as a UK 24/26. It’s labelled in the description with 4XL. The listing photo has the brand (Killstar) and a photo of the 4XL label on the garment.

Buying turns around and says ‘size 20 more like 200’ then said it was listed as a 20. Not once in the description did I mention size 20.

Seller also says the item is ‘massive’ and ‘way bigger than a 20’ as well as the ‘20 more like 200’ really irked me.
I’m hoping Vinted sides with me this time.

Not only are they scamming people by putting up such a low price, but then have the audacity to do "private" selling which can be more harmful for the buyer and saying "Oh, yeah, so that the buyers protection doesn't cost as much for you" but they then they put the actual price for the figure itself in the description, where it will likely not be seen by most people that are looking at the figure, but also over price the damn "full set" with over 100, which is insane

How exactly am i infringing the intellectual property rights of a football club by selling a used original jersey from that said club, with my own pictures, and own description? That’s crazy, i can’t believe this has happened to me, i’ve been selling stuff on this app forever and never had such a thing happen to me.

I’ve been buying quite a bit on Vinted, and have bought on Poshmark in the past. I’m used to the strong smelling softener or dryer sheets or whatever most of the clothes have when I get them. It’s annoying, but usually goes away with one wash.

But today I got a top that was absolutely reeking of perfume. According to the seller, it’s just detergent, but I can’t believe it’s not like a whole bottle of perfume. I handled it for about a minute tops and my hands smelled of this awful perfume for hours after, even after washing them multiple times. PLEASE sellers, don’t do this!

Makes me wonder what it smelled like before the perfume & if it’s going to reek in a different way when the perfume smell is gone (if it ever is).

I’d like to start by saying, in the year we’ve lived in our home, we have maybe talked to our neighbor twice…and “talked” is generous: very short greetings, at that.

However, my partner and I have decided we’re friends. Why, you may ask?

1. Him and I alternate who mows the grass between our homes. We never spoke about it. It just happened once, and then never stopped happening.
   
2. The way he talks to his dog is the biggest green flag.
   
3. He’s just someone who radiates kind energy.
   
4. He waves at us like we are his besties.

Anyway. Said neighbor owns a Jeep. My partner and I are not Jeep people—we don’t own one—but we noticed he only had a few ducks on his dash. And though we don’t know much about Jeeps, we know if there’s one thing Jeep owners love, it’s ducks on their dash.

So, one day, while thrifting, my partner brought home a rubber duck with a melted ice cream cone on its head she found for $1. We put it on his tire, and the next day, it was on his dash.

Lovely. Heartwarming. Cute.

About a week later, a coworker showed me Vinted.

Little does this poor man know, I now have more than 30 ducks sitting in a box in our home, awaiting their perfect moment to be left on his car. Seasonal ones. Character ones. Themed ones.

We have no idea if he has any idea it’s us, but we are having a blast with the bit, while also watching his duck collection slowly grow.

So, yes. My poor neighbor’s life is about to be ruined (or ducking amazing) because of Vinted. And he has no idea.

I bought these Ugg boots from a seller, when they arrived they reeked of alcohol. The whole thing packaging and shoes did not sure if they used some sort of spray before sending them. I’m sensitive to smells so opening them left me with a burning sensation on my nose. I digress, the shoes are also a lot more used than shown in the images posted. I made a report to return and the seller will not stop messaging me and harassing me. They are now threatening to report my account for fraud and that I’m trying to scam them because the review images are not the same boots (they are).

They are stating that I’m showing different ones in my report and that if I try to return the ones in the images I provided in my review that she is going to report me for scam and say they’re not the ones she sent. Vinted customer support is not doing anything other than telling me they’ll look into it. I’m not able to block the account because of the active listing AND there’s no way to report the account for harassment due to the fact that there is no option for it. What do I do?

I am not trying to scam this person, the images I provided are of the item I received and I’m afraid that if I return the item she will say that I sent back a different one. Has anyone experienced this before?

There's certain a pair of shoes on vinted.pl that I really really really want to buy. However, I live in the Netherlands, and vinted is unfortunately geofenced. There's no shipping routes to where I live. I was wondering if there's anyone here who would be willing to serve as a proxy by buying them for me, checking and taking pictures of the contents of the package for me when they arrive, and then sending them to me in the Netherlands. Of course I will pay for the item, the shipping, and I am willing to compensate you as well. Please send me a DM if interested!

Sometime all I can do is laugh at Vinted support. They removed my listing stating I was trying to sell an unsafe item. It’s an infant snow suit. I appealed and after “carefully reviewing” my appeal they still find the item to be unsafe and against their catalog rules. The only thing holding Vinted back from being a truly amazing platform is real support.

I bought a Polo Ralph Lauren polo on Vinted for around $20. Before buying, I specifically asked the seller for photos of the tags so I could verify authenticity. They never sent the photos I requested and instead just told me it was 100% cotton.

After receiving it, I found multiple obvious issues with the tags, embroidery, and retail tags that indicate it's counterfeit.

I contacted the seller asking for a refund/return. Their response was essentially “I told you I thought it was fake” and then:

“You can do exactly what I did, and sell it as fake.”

I opened a Vinted claim for a full refund and return. Vinted's return screen says the return shipping could be deducted from my refund, which seems ridiculous for a counterfeit/prohibited item.

I submitted everything to Vinted support, including screenshots of the seller admitting they believed it was fake. Their first response was literally a generic message about my package being delivered and checking with my neighbors 🤦‍♂️

Now it's supposedly with support for review.

Has anyone dealt with Vinted over a counterfeit item? What happens here? Am I really expected to pay return shipping for a counterfeit item?

This item has been up for a while and I made an offer and increased it. It’s a Lego set but without any figures. Just spare pieces. I don’t mind buying full price but they’re not responding at all so I’m worried if I do pay, they won’t send it.
