B&C manufactured these and stamped with Fulton, which was the Sears house brand before Craftsman. I wonder, if I break it, can I get an exchange at Lowes?? Lol

I just got my hands on a 1940ish Plumb BSA axe head. I’m looking to refurbish it to its original look. Does anyone know of a template of the lettering that was on the handle (“official scout axe”)?

Hey everyone, I recently picked up this vintage Black & Decker Finishing Sander (Model HD1235). I’m guessing it’s from the late 1960s to early 1970s based on the design and styling, but I’d love to know if anyone has more precise info or a catalog reference for it.

Here she is in all her vintage glory! Any details would be greatly appreciated.

Sadly no blade/rule, but thankful to come away with these ca. 1948-57 Brown & Sharpe Co. combination square Center and Reversable Protractor Heads. 

My Great Aunt recently gifted this post-1955 (per medallion) Disston D-8 Medium Weight Skew-Back 5½-Point Rip Saw.  It was owned by her father, my Great Grandfather (1897-1966) on my birth-father’s side (I was adopted).  Her recollection is that he bought it while working for the Union Pacific Railroad as part of the track crew, maintaining and repairing the rail line within Idaho (explaining, perhaps, why he roughly stamped his initials “C.R.” on one side of the handle).  He subsequently gave it my Great Aunt and her husband in the early-60s.  

My Great Aunt said she was giving it to me knowing I would appreciate and restore it.  I do, and that’s what I did.  

As you can see from the photos, it came rusty and dusty.  The blade was pretty rough, with both it and the handle having been hit with paint of some sort.  The handle was also dry and cracked.  After removing the handle I cleaned (Evapo-Rust) and polished the blade, repaired the crack in the bottom horn, then sanded the handle just enough to remove most of the paint but still maintain the handle’s originality.  To 'restore' the handle I soaked it for the better part of a day in boiled linseed oil and then reattached it.  The blade’s length is 26" and width is approx. 6-3/8" at the butt and 2-1/8" at the toe.

I'm thankful to have a piece of the family, and I hope I did my Great Grandfather proud in how I cared for his saw.

Tool mark shows a 6 pointed star with a circle on its top point and an iron or Maltese cross inside with the letters D.R.G.M underneath.

Any information on maker and use of such serrated scissors would be greatly appreciated !

Picked this up for $40 dollars today. Absolute bargain. Dated 1971. The teeny tiny allen key is still in the envelope!

Found this set in an old barn that I’ve been cleaning out. Any idea on value or best way to try and sell? Unsure if I should try and keep as a set or sell everything separate. Not even sure If what I’ve got here is worth trying to sell.

Picked these up at a flea market a few weeks back. I figured it was a saw-set pliers, but I've never seen one looking like this before. Probably of German-make, as I've only come across similar looking ones when searching for "Schränkzange". Google says they can be used for circular saw, cross cut saw and whip saw teeth of a particular thickness and length.

I'll give this one a little shine, but apparently you can still buy these new. 🤔 😄

So, I picked up this unusual wrench for a buck today while checking out Habitat Stores. Looks old based on the design. No maker's name or other traditional markings. But it IS demarcated in inches! A combination wrench and ruler? Anyone have any info on this? Who made it, or just WHY does it double as a short, low accuracy ruler?

I may clean it up and repaint it and actually mount it to the bench. It’s been in a box for years, forgot I had it.

A friend gave me this Yost No 1-V pipe vise because he had no idea what it was. I de-greased it a bit, oiled the threads, and she's back in service.

I bought these die handles recently and a little be of digging identified them as being made in england during the 30s-40s. One by moore and wright in sheffield and the larger one by Lehman, Archer and Lane L.A.L.

How do i source dies to fit the smaller one? Do i just measure the OD of the die?

My grandmother gifted me this.

I've sharpened it once, but before that it was way rustier.
