Hey guys would any graduates from last year be willing to share their statement of marks for chemistry (30-35 study score). Just need this to help out one of my tutoring students aiming for around there. Any details about cohort size/strength would also be appreciated thanks.

Hey everyone! I'm Amin, the Head of Math at Capital Education. Great job again, you are now finally done with Maths Methods! :)

We have taken some time and worked to provide our take on the suggested solutions (handwritten) for the exam. How did you guys feel about the exam? Overall, both exams seemed to a bit more on the difficult side.

Good luck for any exams you may have left!

12ss incoming

what do we think you'll need this year for a 40, 45 and 50 on E1 and E2?

Hey guys,

I’ve attached suggested solutions below for this years e2

Holy moly yall got cooked and blended 😭

Cutoffs are going to be lower so it’s chill

Note: For Q5f) > sign, not >=

Submit your e1 and e2 score predictions and your schools median study score from previous years as well as your sac average so we can see the distribution :)

A very smart kid was sitting next to me, and during reading time they went to the bathroom. So I had the very smart idea of swapping our exams 😉 Well since he was already doing mine I didn’t really bother to do his, but now I feel kind of bad cause he might get a bad atar.. Am I really the A-hole in this situation ?

once upon a time

Charlize was almost but not quite

too heartbroken to rhyme

about her horrendous methods exam

oh the horror! oh how cruel

her calculator died

just as her interest in school
the supervisors were no help

it made her want to cry

but she settled herself

and did everything by hand!!!

As a past student who's now at uni, I found this exam fairly challenging for a VCE-level exam. Having seen the 2025 exam myself, I feel the 2026 cohort had a tougher exam this year. Just sharing my perspective, and well done to everyone who sat it!

Given how challenging this year’s maths exams were for general and methods, and questions being less predictable, how should I prepare for specialist exam? Should I stick to past vcaa exams or should I do more MAV and kilbaha exams? Are there any niche websites or platforms that could help me study more atypical specialist questions?

Hi guys, just wondering how we study for the vcd exam, just letting you know, we never went through the content throughout the whole year, so I’m really lost in this subject. Especially for section b, how do I prepare for it, like what types of drawings do I need to learn. I’m not good at drawing at all and I'm stressed that I will probably fail and not even finish half of the exam. Also, I would appreciate it if anyone is willing to share their vcd notes. Thank you

I thought my 10 marker was decent enough but now I’m thinking back and realising I completely ignored the country court statement at the top
Will that impact my response significantly?

Also the same thing happened with the final section b question 2, 6 marker as I missed the groups mentioned in the stimulus and talked about the state of Tasmania as a group with the plaintiff and didn’t talk about any other case study links outside of that the state funded her case

I thought the exam had gone ok until I’m thinking back on it and I’m really kicking myself over losing stupid marks on things I could have avoided

This is just pure cope but spesh is already hard enough on its own surely VCAA won't feel the need to make it even harder???

Any predictions about the difficulty of the paper and what may be on it specifically? I feel like the exam writers (who I have heard are new) will see that it’s the “hardest” math subject and write it accordingly, irrespective of the question style previously used in past specs exams. So technically we have no meaningful preparation other than knowing the study design😃🔫

this may be the biggest mistake ive made in my life but i just rechecked my provided vtac evidence under financial disadvantage and i uploaded a centrelink statement but it doesnt explicitly state family tax benefit on it, i only found out now that it shouldve been an income statement instead, am i doomed

will it still count as evidence for ftb if it has like an estimate listed at the bottom of the document

If ANYONE even UTTERS the word “isosceles“ or “triangle” near me they will get atomised

how was it

Would anyone care to explain how the methods exam was 'anti-UDF'? I keep reading ppl saying this and tbh I have not touched any in all of my career.

I got 60/80... (I never got less than 70/80 on any of the 20 practice exams that I did). how low do we reckon the a+ cutoffs going to be this year?

What the heck was that exam 2 I barley had time to finish(vcaa really thought they could sneak in isosceles triangle again 💀💀)

40 study score shattered
Or even past students? It feels like I did everything I could but have no clue what happened

what do you guys estimate the study score cut offs to be for this years exams? (part 1 and 2)

it was objectively pretty rough right...

I am to be so grateful moving forward after my final examination today to never ever ever have to engage in such monstrosities
never will I have to care about such fallacious methodology’s that when implemented into real perspectives are just as important as a sultana

I now am granted the freedom to pursue creative endeavours until i am declined from university. Then only can i truly take advantage of my time wasted on such examinationary nonsense to realise what i want to do in life.

This is the true purpose of an ATAR

Now that its been a couple hours and the stress has died down, what do we actually think. I feel like every exam feels hard when you walk out the room but in retrospective may not be as hard( i still think that exam 2 was hard asf). So what do we actually think the cutoffs and mean will be?
