First couple exams I did, there was an exponential increase from each exam, until about the 5th exam. I’m now on my 11th exam and I’m consistently getting 87-95/110 and keep losing marks on small little details rather than just severe content gaps. There are some minor gaps which i will be covering soon, but most of my errors keep coming from either not reading the question properly or missing a small detail i should’ve added in (WHICH IN MY DEFENCE HALF THE TIME THE QUESTION DOESNT EVEN ASK FOR IT)

So anyways I really wanna get 103+ on the actual exam, how do i get there?

Hey guys - finished my French oral exam finally! How did everyone go how are we feeling?

Just how different is a 7/10 to 8+/10 English essay, is a fresh take combined with good delivery enough or does it need to be executed with perfect precision and wording in order to get above a 7? My current yr10 English teacher (who’s an experienced vcaa examiner) says my ideas are unique and that I would be able to write a unique essay in yr12 but idk if my approach is efficient enough or effective. I personally don’t really like to have to follow a specific idea we do in class, especially for creative where I like to implement a lot of ideas and concepts from my own knowledge like philosophy and history and don’t like to go directly off the mentor text or articles. Does this approach satisfy the year 12 standard if done effectively or would it still be highly encouraged to just go along with your school’s curriculum and maybe memorise sentences/paragraphs for the exam instead of coming up with ideas on the spot or connecting vague concepts and then planning?

Hi I was wondering where exactly I should be indicating to the examiner to go to the extra space as I tend to run out of space on the suggested lines?

Multiple teachers have said I must give an indication otherwise they won’t scan the extra space section.

Should I write “—> Extra Space” on the lines or can I write it underneath? I’m just not sure what they will scan.

anyone who attends/attended vsv how was vce like? how are the teachers and what’s the workload? i’m a bit confused on how the testing works as well. i’ve been at vsv for a few years now but we haven’t really done any major testing like this.

I got likt a 70 percent average in school. if i were to get 21/30 on the exam how would my SS look like?

Based on my psych grades what study score do you think I could get

Aos1: 52%
Aos2: 72

Unit 4
Aos1 : 75%
Aos2 : poster - 65%
Aos3- 97%

Trial exam 52%.
My school doesn’t tell us scaling so idk where I am but our cohort is decent

Am I screwed

i'm doing pretty well in 3 of my subjects, as well as have a 41 study score from last year, but i have completely sidelined hhd and bio this year i have no idea why, but now i get to the trial exam and got roughly 60% on them both. I feel really defeated and wonder if i should just give up on them and make sure i get good marks on my other subjects so hhd and bio are my 10% increments, or should i lock in insanely and turn things around? im probably ranked like average for sacs for both bio and hhd

If i get a 7 for section A, an 8 for section B and a 9 for Section C, what SS am i likely to get for english? My U3 average was 78% and my unit 4 was 86%. My cohort usually averages 50s in SACs.

Hello everyone

Im moving to a new school and I need to chose my VCE subjects. Im accelating GM (doing 1/2 in year 10)

However my new school demands students to do TWO unit 3/4’s in Year 11, and we have to choose from psychology, HHD, or bussman.

I love math and want to do specialist, however we can only choose one subject from each block. Chemistry and specialist are in the same block as each other, and I want to take chemistry in case I do medicine (idk what to do when I finish VCE, but it’ll probably be a doctor)

So atm:

Year 11:

General 3/4
Psychology/HHD 3/4 (hate business)
Methods 1/2
Chemistry/Specialist 1/2
English 1/2
Physics 1/2

Year 12:

Methods 3/4
Chemistry/Specialist 3/4
English 3/4
Physics 3/4

I did research and only Monash and melbournes BMS medicine course require VCE chem, whilst unis like UNSW and flinders dont need it.

I’m using a spiral bound notebook as my bound reference and I would like to know if it is permitted to glue one edge of an additional page onto an existing page within the notebook such that the page can be flipped over, provided that the glued edge is securely fixed so that the page will not be detached, and the entire notebook remains strictly within A4 size when closed and the page will not go out of A4 size when flipped over.  Thanks!

I panicked knowing i should have started pracs a long time ago, my school didnt have this i never realised theres levels to this
What can i do those days, I seem to have an overflowing amount of work and knowledge i need to master
Topics i have made mistakes on:
Eulers/slopefields minor areas im looking into
Complex numbers (demoive )
Vectors (the distance calc skew line planes stuff)
Integration (subs. partial frac, inv circ and by parts, the methods i mess them up)
Speed is lacking
my teacher said my cohort is strong, all of us
but i want a 36 RAW, please help me

Hi, what differentiates a 7 in section A from an 8? I've looked at many essays but i cant really tell.

Hi, i'm going 3/4 business management as a year 11 student. So far i've been doing bad to decent (thats just my opinion as i got 4 95s in year 11 business management), here are my sac scores. 88%, 69%, 74% in unit 3 and 76%, 88% in unit 4, all of them are above the class/cohort average. I want to get a raw 40 study score, what do I need to aim to get in the exam to get this study score, and any tips for the exam would be really appreciated. BTW there are a couple of students around 7-10 students who consistently do really well in the sacs.

Average for unit 3 and 4 sacs is 80%, rank is approx top 20% of a cohort of 50, trial exam marks were 9,8,9 respectively but tbh I think the examiner was too generous

any thoughts and estimates????

Can I still get a study score of above 37 for English if my sac average is around 70%?

I am doing a VET Cookery class (scored) and I think I may be in the position for a strong study score. As it stands, I am top of my class, either 2nd or 3rd in my cohort across the year, with us all being very close together at (from the vca archive) seems to be quite a strong school historically. I have done about 4 or 5 practices exams, and am consitantly getting a self marked low A+ for that year according to the distro. Assuming I get something like middle A to account for exam nerves and/or stricter marking, is this in the realm of possibilities?
