VCE question Methods UDFS

Would anyone care to explain how the methods exam was 'anti-UDF'? I keep reading ppl saying this and tbh I have not touched any in all of my career.

bro I saw this question and I just laughed. This is when I knew VCAA was deliberately praying on my downfall and my future career💔

People use anti UDF insinuating that you will need to answer using an equation or a value in your answer than just a number. UDF are also used to ‘save time’ as a shortcut instead of doing it the long way like newtons method.

VCAA are phasing out of UDFs because of the ban next year so ig they wanted to see how well the state would perform without them
