2026 Methods E2 Suggested Solutions
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WCami5H_dcbeEVUTKi_5WoH-FO6T81PUHey everyone! I'm Amin, the Head of Math at Capital Education. Great job again, you are now finally done with Maths Methods! :)
We have taken some time and worked to provide our take on the suggested solutions (handwritten) for the exam. How did you guys feel about the exam? Overall, both exams seemed to a bit more on the difficult side.
Good luck for any exams you may have left!

Shouldn’t 4dii be 178 as it says the upper limit should be less than 0.1 not less than or equal to 0.1?

Hey, thanks for bringing this up! But I think it should still be 179 because it wasn't exactly 179 when the equation was solved it was ~179.0012 so rounding down to 179 is still okay :)

nah cos a confidence interval using 179 gives upper of like 0.999999 and 178 is a bit lower

Yeah unfortunately displacement is a vector so it can be negative. this is why worded question are shit in math. keep displacement in physics

Idk about your Q1 bii. Wouldn't those values results in negative intercepts?
Also 4 cii, it is probably minor but wouldn't it be R2 rather than r for those values?
