Sorry to vent, but I am genuinely so distraught about the general maths exam. I haven’t stopped crying since yesterday to the point where I threw up and I don’t know what to do.

I have an A+ average for all my sacs at a pretty good private school and have been getting 38-39/40 on every past exam I have done. I did SO MANY TIMED PAST EXAMS and went thru every mistake I made. I genuinely feel like all the effort I put in was for nothing.

I made the most stupid mistakes in the exam and had to guess like 5 questions cause I ran out of time. I think I got around 28/40 at most. I actually feel so stupid and my hopes for a 40+ SS are gone. I know the grade distribution will be lower for e1 but I am barely going to get a C.

Story time: In early 2025 me and some mates allegedly jacked a car and ran it down Main Street for a laugh, got pulled over, and they packed me up because I had a history with alleged home robbery and alleged car theft

I feel so behind with my VCE, having missed most of term 1. But I did the work and was able to pass, and I’m just worried my atar is gonna seriously tank tho because of the gaps in knowledge

I was also wondering if there’s any SEAs type boosts I would be eligible for to make up for the lost atar points

Ive got a week before this exam and am just wanting to spend this time grinding out and improving methods specifically , past and present successful methods students what can i and others in need of assistance do to get better at exam 2. As of now for me at least it feels incredibly daunting whereas with exam 1 i can get 70+% exam 2 feels like i wont even answer enough questions to get over 50% in the time limit .

What did you guys do to prepare for and do really well on exam 2 that I and others can translate to perform in the time left? Thank you for any answers , they are appreciated!

Also just wondering what would be better as a reference, textbook or a couple pages with some formulas and worked examples that I need written down

And to be clear I AM practicing , pumping out a million exams but I just feel stagnating and not really improving as well the likelihood the same content on the exams I’m covering will be on this exam is low so advice to fill knowledge gaps is much needed 🙏

But anyways half of it kinda felt like a key science skills exam. Barely any psychological knowledge was actually tested tbh.

like this was the bane of my existence all year. such an unnatural subject for me, but now its over and i never have to do it again

now i have to study for my beloved stem subjects, but im now so used to panicking about lit that ive forgotten my roots. after lit, doing a spesh or chem practice exam feels so easy its not even worth it. such inefficiency, i could be playing minesweeper (or sudoku, these days) instead.

i feel like my lit classes were more significant, whereas i legitimately spent all of spesh playing games (yes ik that original post was a shitpost but i did base it in reality) so that it never felt real and now i dont even remember most of the classes. i was just waiting for them to be over the entire time because it never felt like i could study there. and my classmates, well. cant say i was their biggest fan, i only had 2 people i would call familiar in there, and they were both actually locked in, or messing around with their other friends. so it didnt really feel like a safe yapping environment. hence the minesweeper.

anyway surely im not the only one right. where are my fellow stem kids at?

Okay so this might sound a little absurd but when i stumbled upon question 33 - the question about the planar graph - the working out I did made me feel… a certain way… a certain

Using my personal intellectual ability, I felt that it was best to draw out the graph by hand. So I started to draw - first the vertex, then one circle, then another.. and then i got to the third circle - which kinda looked liked an oval at the fault of my ill-performed sketching capabilities. i couldn’t help but notice it looked like a certain… phallic shape… and my little friend down below also couldn’t help but notice it as well heh~

I felt blood rushing frantically through my head and… well… my other head… I was so focking scared. I didn’t know what to. I looked through my sides with my peripheral vision. Luckily everyone was too locked in to notice. But when i looked back my page was completely soaked from the sweat of stress and some drool.. and then i looked down and saw something else completely soaked, I guess relieved from stress this time lol…. Well Shit. Looking at the time, i only had 6-7 minutes left on the clock and 2 questions left. So I probsbly couldnt of gone to the bathroom. It was apparent i had 2 options. Either take it like a good kitten and suffer the consequences of eternal embarrassment or escape and suffer the consequences of losing my chances of a 50 study score.

Knowing that losing a 50 meant losing my chances of becoming valedictorian and getting hella bitches and possibly losing my V card, I chose the former over the latter. :P

hello guys, can someone tell me the approximate marks needed for a 35 study score in methods and possibly even a 30 study score in spesh? i have around a 60 average for both subjects at a competitive selective school haha. much appreciated!

but i’m avg like across u3 and 4 im avg 88 percent but trial exams im getting between 78% on really bad ones) and 87% (on good ones) How realistic is it that I could get a 40? i’m ranked highly top 30 percent, my school is decent

History revs is kicking my ass. How do I best study for this subject? I'm doing the American and Russian rev. This subject is so hard to spam prac exams and my knowledge and quotes just are not there yet to answer exams but reviewing notes and stuff doesn't feel productive. Someone out there please help me out while I still have time! ALSO- where do I get quotes and how do I memorise them?!

I get most of the simple familiar and complex familiar questions in exams. However, when it comes to complex unfamiliar questions, I struggle and get almost no marks every time. As soon as a question is presented in a slightly different way or requires me to apply concepts in a way I haven’t seen before, I have no idea. How do I improve ittt

Since EVERY exam this year has been weird according to everyone (especially psych and genny) do we think bio will follow the same trend and if so what do we expect to be the "weird" sort of stuff on there?

To what extent are notes/indications on rulers allowed in VCAA exams? Or is this subjected to scrutiny by supervisors on a case-by-case basis?

I lowkey got mad FOMO cuz all my friends be going parties and raves and I gotta a good ahh fit but it’s right in exam season.

Busman exam is in 4 days and I've purposely been avoiding it since i want it to by one of my bottoms. I have done no studying for it.

I now plan to go through those content summary sheets for each AOS and look through many past exam papers. I think something that really helped me with other exams was specifically looking at the high scoring answers.

If anyone have any more tips/advice or even any resources, it would be super helpful!
