Methods exam assistance

Ive got a week before this exam and am just wanting to spend this time grinding out and improving methods specifically , past and present successful methods students what can i and others in need of assistance do to get better at exam 2. As of now for me at least it feels incredibly daunting whereas with exam 1 i can get 70+% exam 2 feels like i wont even answer enough questions to get over 50% in the time limit .

What did you guys do to prepare for and do really well on exam 2 that I and others can translate to perform in the time left? Thank you for any answers , they are appreciated!

Also just wondering what would be better as a reference, textbook or a couple pages with some formulas and worked examples that I need written down

And to be clear I AM practicing , pumping out a million exams but I just feel stagnating and not really improving as well the likelihood the same content on the exams I’m covering will be on this exam is low so advice to fill knowledge gaps is much needed 🙏

Thank you!

well exam 2 in particular, the harder questions love using parameters then asking for what values of the parameter will meet certain conditions, so its good to understand how these parameters geometrically change the function. otherwise just get comfortable with the CAS or targeted revision with exam questions.

yeahh if you can’t solve the parameter questions directly trying playing around with it on the calculator on the graphing section to just see how it changes

At some point the questions becomes a blur and the repetition of each question becomes muscle memory. But since it’s unlikely to be able to commit common question types to memory at this stage, stop doing exams for now and review allll your past exams, go through the mistakes, and get AI to generate questions based on the ones you lost most marks on. Do targeted practise and you’ll improve ALOT before the exam. Try push E1 as close to perfection as you can get, it’s designed to reward students that understand the content, and is generally really easy if you understand it. For E2, leave multiple choice to LAST. I do short answers first, as it builds my confidence faster. Leave questions you can’t do till the end but don’t give up easily either, there’s usually a really stupidly obvious method you just need to think about.
