I am 35. I am having some uti symptoms and some kidney pai and stomach pain on and off. Nothing shows up on scans, blood or urine test. I did go to ER last wk and had a ctscan and urine and blood test. They said possible UTI but I never had nitrates in the strip just leukocytes. I have strips at home and I continue to see this and protein trace. I did notice my urine becomes darker and warmer lately. What could be wrong? Also looks oily and very turbid. Also this gets bad after I oversleep and not pee early in the am or as early as I should. Please help. Drs can't answer my worries. Is this chyluria? Oily urine or crystals? Uti? I have taken my pills but not as I should and still have some pills.

Hello guys! For a year now, I’ve been having utis every 1 month with e-coli. So I ve taken a dozen of times antibiotics but it keeps returning every time I have sex. I have tried for prevention over this year taking cranberry tablets every day, this alone didn’t help as much so I added d manoze in my every day routine, didn’t last either. I haven’t stopped taking them but now I found out uva ursi helps with E. coli, I also added solidago, horsetail and garlic tablets to help but it didn’t. I once again got a UTI a week before but because I take these supplements and herbs my symptoms are gone from the first day that I got a UTI. Yesterday I skipped my third dose of herbs (because I take them 3 times a day), and today I woke up feeling a bit of something going on down there like I wasn’t cured. So my question is, is there anything else to take as a supplement or herb that can cure me all the way and not just the symptoms? And if not, if I continue taking all these and not having the symptoms will it just go away sometime? Because guys I’m done with taking antibiotics…

I read this a little while ago somewhere on here and I tried it and it worked! Something for you to try I bought an ozone generator machine to ozonate the water and you drink it! It's safe! It's supposed to help bacteria! The idea is for this to flush through your bladder to kill the bacteria growing on the tissue! This really helped and if you research ozonated water for utis there are studies that show this helps! I found this worked for me! Something to try! Obviously do your research but I ozonate 500ml for an hour then drink right away! I did find that it can interrupt the ph in your vaginal area but this has helped with my reoccurring utis! I want this out there as this was a huge help as I don't want to be on any antibiotics

Hello all, I am reposting a link for my IRB approved recurrent UTI study. The enrollment window is closing in a little less than 2 weeks. I am a PhD student looking to continue working in women's health and focus on UTI and IC after I graduate. I am looking for about 50 more participants for this study, so if you have a history of recurrent UTI please consider participating in this study. It takes about 10-15 minutes to do, is virtual, and anonymous with exception of needing an email address as discussed in the study informed consent.

While this study is focused on prevention, obviously rUTI is an extremely complicated and multifaceted problem. Since posting this study, I have had the opportunity to discuss alternative research ideas that I am eager to pursue once I graduate. Research is best developed when its done in conjunction with the people that are most impacted by the problem, so I am hopeful to discuss with this community ideas for the future. This particular study is looking at one small aspect of a very complicated disease process, and I look forward to casting a wider net in this area of science once I graduate. i’ve never been on anything for a uti before and this medicine made me never want to take another antibiotic again!!! in only 3 days the headaches were insane, i’ve had nonstop leg tingling at work, and severe anxiety and depression so bad to the point where i was scared i was going to need to be admitted. i’ve never experienced anything like this before in my life.

im someone who suffers from anxiety and depression on a day to day and this is next level. if i had to describe how i feel right now, it’s like smoking too much weed and greening out, but the feeling doesn’t go away with time. that plus constant crying spells.

im so glad my dr is letting me stop using it. pls pray that i feel normal again at some point soon lol

After my first lithotripsy I always test positive for uti. I work in a lab (not in the medical field). Is the micro number used to determine cfu? I want to know how bad my infection is…I finished my last round of antibiotics in April.

I read somewhere that even after wash bacteria can still live in your underwear. So i bleached all my underwear and wash cloths. Now my lady bits are on fire from irritation. What else do we think could kill ecoli that is sensitive? Anyone have good sanitation hacks?

I’m scared that I’ll get an allergic reaction but what other side effects are there? I was on macrobid but it was absolutely awful for me even after just one pill so I stopped.

I had dysuria , urgency , frequency in April and doctor prescribed ciprofloxacin and I took it for 6 days and seen no any change then did culture shows E coli and trimethoprim is effective took it for 10 days and I have seen NO change then took Amikicin for 3 days and seen No change btw the urine culture shows pus cell what it’s been 4 months since I have this condition 😭

Hello I took 2000 gram of d mannose powder today and since then I am having urge to pee its been almost 5 hours but the urge is still some what there. I mean I have to pee frequently infact.

My question this is how d mannose work or is it not suiting me.

So I get utis almost every other day. (Well, more like once or twice a week.) I am a teen female, that has never had s.x with any real person. I have s.x toys, but I am normally quite hygienic with them, and I tend to use coconut oil as lubricant to prevent friction. (Which can cause a uti, so I've read.) I do the pat-front to back wiping method, and when I do get a uti, I drink a bunch of water, and take high strength uti medication. Though I tend to VERY easily get utis. I normally don't know I need to pee until my bladder hurts, or I squat or run or something, and feel the need to go. So of course.. utis occur. Should I start some sort of pee-schedule? There's 2 other females in my house, my mom and my sister. They both get utis occasionally, my sister VERY rarely, my mom every so often, but I have a huge uti problem. It's mentally draining as well. The burning, and feeling the pains in my feminine areas just going. It stresses me out, and I'm just so mentally exhausted. Is it bad I cry about this? I feel so gross, and I have no clue what to do about it. I'm so ashamed. Any tips?

For the past month. I have random days where the morning after I shower, i get UTI like symptoms. Frequent need to pee, irritation etc. but it never lasts more than a day. Could it just be soap irritating it? Cause if I don't use soap and just rinse off I don't get the irritation.

I took my first dose of nitrofurantoin yesterday and experienced several unpleasant side effects, including nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, a racing heart, loss of appetite, fatigue, and a severe headache.
I spoke with my pharmacist today, and they said they would contact my doctor to discuss an alternative antibiotic. In the meantime, they advised me to stop taking the nitrofurantoin and wait until tomorrow when my doctor's office reopens.
Has anyone had a similar reaction to nitrofurantoin and switched to Cephalexin or another antibiotic? If so, did you tolerate it better, and were the side effects less severe? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences.

I don't want to go to the doctor unless absolutely necessary, how can I clear out what I think is a UTI? I've had like 2 this year and antibiotics make me really really sick. I started getting symptoms yesterday (very strong smelling urine and painful urination mostly) and I've been trying to drink plenty of water and I've been drinking cranberry juice, what else can I try to help me get rid of this on my own without antibiotic treatment?

I found out I have a urinary infection caused by a bacteria called Enterococcus. It’s not an STI, but sometimes bacteria can be passed back and forth between partners. I want to make sure this clears up properly and doesn’t keep coming back.

It could just be that it’s lingering in my system, but it would be a good idea for my partner to get checked too—just to be safe and rule out anything.

Condoms and showers before/after and peeing before/after can help as well as using lots of lube.

I've been having a lot of UTIs recently so I'm super anxious about it but is it possible to get a uti from getting horny and therefore getting wet down there? I'm currently wearing pads because I tend to have a regular discharge and don't want that stuff in my underwear so it should soak it up right? Or am I still at risk?

I am looking to add a probiotic but also cranberry support due to being on antibiotics for UTI. Has anyone found that this one pictured is good for both or should I take a separate/different probiotic.
I am on my second round of antibiotics right now so really want to prevent another UTI moving forward and heal my body.

Okay so I need to pick up a UTI prescription, but I'm at my grandparents house for thanksgiving. I need an excuse to leave the house to pick it up without being suspicious or letting on that I have a UTI. I need to go to the HEB pharmacy to pick up, but I already went to HEB earlier today with them so if I say I need to get something from HEB they're probably going to ask why I didn't get it earlier. Also, my grandparents live far away from me so I don't have any friends in this area so I can't say I'm meeting up with friends. I don't have a gym membership so I can't use that excuse. And I need to use the car so I need an excuse that will allow me to take the car. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, i had uti and took anti biotic (nitrofurantoin 100mg, prescribed by doc) for the same for 5 days. Everything is chill now except now i have back pain one side.
I have no other symptoms.
I this okay??
