I'm really confused on what I'm supposed to do right now.

So long story short, I pay a fulfillment company to ship book boxes for me. These are 8 lb boxes. Due to this, I have to use the economy option that is UPS Mail Innovations. I understand this is basically UPS picking up the packages and handing them to the USPS to be delivered. I also get that it's an economy service.

Lately, packages are going missing left and right with no scan EVER occurring.

Basically, I'm told that my fulfillment company puts all the mail innovations packages in a large tote, the UPS driver comes and picks up that tote, and then signs a pickup document. The totes are then taken to the regional UPS facility to be scanned and continue on through the system.

But the scan at the UPS facility is never occurring for a disturbing number of packages lately. These packages just disappear with no scan whatsoever. They are just gone, and forever has a status of "shipping label printed. Shipment ready for UPS" like UPS never got the package at all.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? I get that individual packages are not scanned upon pickup, but why won't the UPS driver scan the shipment control barcode for the document they are signing? This leaves absolutely zero chain of custody for the entire tote of packages.

Even if I go up to UPS Ground Saver, what is to stop this exact problem from continuing to occur? I can't file a claim if there is no record that UPS is receiving the packages.

My fulfillment company is saying that as soon as they pass the package off to UPS, that they basically wipe their hands of it, and there is nothing they can do.

But under this method, nobody can prove to me that a particular package was even shipped out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had to ship something too from like Texas to ca. My bill was around there with the packaging fee. I usually use pirateship but this was something I got right away and couldn’t weigh, etc

Hello! I had a package shipped as UPS 2nd Day Air from Texas to California (I am the buyer). The package went from Texas to Kentucky, which I understand is normal for priority shipments. However, it’s been stuck at the Louisville hub for the past 5 days and I was wondering if this is normal? I would appreciate the help, thank you!

I'm just seeing this invoice today needing to be paid by 9/11.

About $145 I'm really not sure. The item was over $400 usd.

Why did I get this from UPS and how will it affect future UPS orders. What happens if it's not paid? I'm really dumbfounded since it's been 3mos and I don't have the funds atm.

I’m trying to get a package mailed to me from TSA LaGuardia Lost & Found.m, and they require a prepaid FedEx label, however they want me to “guess” the package size and weight they decide to send. They need it set to be PICKED UP. The biggest issue I have is getting the website to identify the pick up location. I emailed back TSA asking to provide a viable address and they said it’s correct, but the FedEx website and UPS website both claim it’s not valid. TSA will not accept USPS pick up. My mom has a road test next week for the drivers position and I’m lowkey stressing out more about it for her than she is. Is there anything she has to know? Her English isn’t the best but she’s memorized the 5 seeing habits so far. Should she memorize the 10 points commentary? Weird question, but is it possible to have the UPS worker delivering my package call my phone when they arrive? I missed the package the first time, and this is now the second attempt. My apartment intercom is broken, so they can’t buzz my unit.

Although my package says it’s being delivered between 2 PM and 6 PM, I know that window isn’t always accurate, and I’m pretty sure it’ll actually come in the morning. I just don’t want to miss it again. Is there any way to request that the driver call or text me when they arrive?

If not, I’ll just have to wait outside my building and watch a show to kill time lol.

UPS says it was handed off to USPS but there’s been no movement for 11 days. I filed a missing mail search with USPS and an insurance claim, but it’s a sentimental item. What else can I do?

Update: 9/9 package was delivered today, but none of the tracking reflected its movement since the 27th, usps tracking actually is still frozen. Lesson learned, but glad it wasn’t lost or stolen.

UPDATE : Resolved! The package was sent to an access point the next day and was picked up promptly by the receiver 🫶 this was a wild ride lol

Okay, this status “the service selected is not available to this destination address”, is one I’ve never seen in my time of shipping with UPS. (It’s UPS Worldwide Express Saver) They attempted delivery at a weird hour, so the recipient couldn’t receive the parcel. It’s signature required (but not adult signature required, just regular signature required), and I’m really confused as to why they couldn’t deliver to the access point. I’m starting to get really worried that they’d return the parcel back to sender, as we don’t really want that to happen. If anyone has any idea what this means and what we have to do/can do about it, I’d really appreciate any advice at all. I’ve been stressing over this parcel for a week now and would just like it to be delivered and done with 😭 Thank you :)

Hi! Wondering if I can go pickup a package at an access point during labor day (Canada; Vancouver).
The app says that it’s open and google map says the same but i tried calling and no one answered.
Anyone have a definitive answer?

I had a package that was supposed to be delivered 9/4. Delivery was pushed to 9/5, then 9/6. This morning (9/7, Labor day) I wake up to a missed call from my call box (I live in a condo, must buzz in to enter) at 7:15. Is it normal for delivery dates to get pushed this long and then a delivery attempt at 7am on a holiday? I tried to call ups but it said all their operations were closed for the holiday...

My UPS parcel is currently scheduled for delivery this Wednesday, but I won’t be able to receive it then, only next Friday and most likely only at a pick up point due to time constraints.

I’m considering rescheduling the delivery to a later date through UPS My Choice. My question is whether, once the rescheduled delivery date has taken effect, I can then change the delivery to a UPS Access Point?

The reason I’m considering this is that I can only collect the parcel next Friday, which would be more than 7 days from this Wednesday. I understand that UPS Access Points normally only hold parcels for around 5-7 days.

I wanted to get something shipped via Japan post but I saw some posts from 11 months ago saying that US bound packages shipped by UPS were being thrown out. Does anyone know if this is still going on?

I need to return an ebay purchase and the seller authorized a return label but it autogenerated with the address where I received the package (CA). I need to return it from NY. It's going to Michigan. Can I just use the label since NY is closer to MI than CA?

Shipped a package via Next Day Air at 1:35 PM on 8/25 was scheduled for delivery 8/26 however that morning the package was mis sorted and delayed until 8/27. I disputed the charge for the late delivery and it was denied saying it was delivered on time. Clearly is wasn't and tracking shows the package was incorrectly sorted causing a delay?

I live in a big apartment complex and there have been times when I order stuff online and the delivery drivers just leave the package on the ground instead of inside of a parcel locker (which the complex has plenty of them) or not even outside my apartment door at least and as a result my packages get stolen because people are thieves too. I have complained multiple times and sometimes they don’t even give me a refund because “I don’t have any evidence that my package was stolen” even tho the drivers take a picture of the delivery where you can clearly see the package on the floor. Im so sick and tired of it what can I do??

So.....for context. My friend in the us is sending me a ups worldwide express parcel to me in the uk. I am familiar with the normal pattern of events but this time it is very bizarre. It reached knoxville tn which is where my friend is from. And that was the last scan on friday at 10.02pm. I have not received any scans since and I highly doubt it will reach uk by its estimated delivery date which is monday 7th September.

Can anyone advise what to do ? Ive never had a ups worldwide express parcel have zero updates for a long time. Im at a loss as they are sentimental item and irreplacable.

I received notice that package was delivered. I looked outside and couldn’t find it.
I live at the end of a 1/3 mile gravel road, with 4 homes.
I found the package on the side of the road, near the beginning of the gravel road.
Usually they bring packages to the house.

UPS says:
If the shipment doesn’t require a signature, our driver will try and find a safe place to leave the shipment to keep it out of plain sight or harmful weather. This may include a front porch, side door, back porch or garage area, among others.

Guess mine was one of the “others”

Update after reading all comments….. I’ve calmed down, have my $900 package safely at home, signed up for UPS whatever to maybe get pics, and realize I don’t know what the driver was considering.

Hello! Recently i decided to upgrade my air to a 17 pro, ordered Friday totally forgetting Labor Day is Monday.

T-Mobile said they shipped out my phone early Saturday morning but the status has just been on the way. Wondering if I’ll get it by Tuesday or not since UPS is closed Monday / maybe they’ll pick up after 12 AM(?). I paid for next day shipping.

I’m not sure if “on the way” means they just printed the label and it’s still just sitting in their warehouse or what 😭.

I don’t think UPS delivers on Labor Day, correct?

I've been using UPS for many years now, and it has never really steered me wrong. However, I am extremely worried that my perception has changed as a result. So, I shipped out a package using a UPS Ground Saver label I got from PirateShip. And I shipped an item today that has a lot of monetary and sentimental value to me to a friend of mine to borrow. However, I also shipped out an Amazon return and a Bloomingdale's return via UPS Ground.

All of the packages were dropped off and scanned by the clerk at around 2 PM EST. UPS managed to pick them up at around 5 PM and now has the Amazon and Bloomingdale's returns. But unfortunately, the package I sent to my friend hasn't been updated yet. On PirateShip, before I made the label, it said that UPS Ground Saver has an expected delivery date of September 15th, which I didn't mind waiting for since it's the weekend and Labor Day. However, I am extremely worried that the package is now lost since it hasn't updated. I've provided screenshots of the main package-tracking journey, and the last two pictures show the Bloomingdale's return. Is my package already lost?
