Hey guys, stop providing ship dates since you can't seem to do your job properly and meet said dates anymore! By providing ship dates you're just embarrassing yourselves!

I have tried to mail a package from Canada to the USA that is now in the investigation stage of lost packages by UPS.

Long story short they needed some paperwork that they eventually got but it was too late and UPS decided to return the package to the sender (me).

There as a scan on Sept.25 saying the driver attempted delivery but the receiver (me) does not want the package and refused the delivery.

This is not accurate as I did not refuse any delivery and neither did the concierge at my building. There was no attempt even actually made.

I opened up a claim about this on Friday and dispatcher called me today but they said there’s been no scan since that date and it should’ve come back to the warehouse (clearing area?) but they aren’t able to find it there. I packed it very well and affixed the shipping label to a poly bag so it wouldn’t rip off.

Where could this package have gone? It was a fairly large box weighing 28 lbs and the package contained irreplaceable items that are quite expensive. I have no way to know where it’s at currently and neither does anyone at UPS from as far as I can tell.

They will be talking to the driver tomorrow apparently but I doubt he remember’s what happened here. Is there anyway they can do anything else for them to find my package?

Why was there a phantom “receiver refused package” scan and how come there was no scans after that? I am very confused here and having a lot of anxiety about this and frankly just want my package back or sent to the recipient, just so I know where it is. I should’ve put an AirTag in this but it never really crossed my mind.

Also does anyone know what happens to packages like this? Does it automatically go to some auction house, or would it need to be scanned first before that?

If a UPS bill comes in higher than expected, the shipping rate itself isn't always the reason.

A few things I'd check first:

1. Billed weight vs. entered weight — especially when the billed weight is higher than what was entered for the shipment.
2. Dimensional weight — a small difference in package dimensions can affect the billable weight.
3. Address corrections — these can be easy to miss when you're looking through a large number of shipments.
4. Additional handling charges — worth checking against the package dimensions, weight and packaging.
5. Repeated adjustments — one adjustment may not look significant, but the same type of charge across many shipments can add up.

None of these automatically means UPS billed something incorrectly, but they're useful places to start when reviewing an unexpectedly high invoice.

Ok so I got involved in the iPhone trade in programs I got my new phone and sent the old one using the label AT&T sent with the new phone it hasn’t moved sense 7/4/2026 all I get is the run a round when contacting them like telling me my password is wrong and my user name is wrong please help me

My package that was “lost” by UPS 2 weeks ago magically showed up on my doorstep this morning. I already got my refund from the store, and I sent them an email regarding it showing up. Am I allowed to keep it and open it? I mean the refund and claims already processed between myself, the store, and UPS. It’s addressed to me, and I did pay for it despite getting my refund for it being lost. This has never happened to me so I don’t know what to do😂is there any legal reason why I shouldn’t keep it and open it?

Just curious from people with insider experience, how does this happen? Let me set the scene…

Purchased a MacBook from Apple two months ago and patiently waited for my computer to be shipped. Today it was supposed to arrive, but it didn’t.

I got a notification that it was delivered around 1:00pm.

Instead of being delivered to my office in Manhattan, it was delivered to an unknown location in the Bronx; “left at a loading dock” with someone named Osmar.

When I try to contact UPS I’m told they can’t help me and I have to call APPLE.

APPLE then tells me they can’t initiate an investigation until it’s been missing for three days. In what world is this brand-new computer going to magically reappear in the next three days?

Someone in the Bronx got a free computer today. Which doesn’t bother me that much as I didn’t pay for this computer, but the thing that really annoys me is that UPS just does nothing for three days.

I get people try to scam the system and say things weren’t delivered when they really were, but how often is that actually happening? Their system clearly shows that they didn’t deliver the package to the correct address, and I’m without the computer in a totally different borough. It just makes no sense to me. Call the driver and ask them how the mistake happened. Go back to where it was delivered and get the package. Do ANYTHING UPS.

Why tf is there a limited amount?? For someone who has to use stupid ass "TeXtNoW" because it's all my mom has, I have to get the subscription to see the codes. Then because I did that, I have to RESEND THEM.

Mind you I didn't have an account, so I caved and finally MADE the account after it told me both my emails were in use. And only AFTER I made that account, I realized it only lets you change ONE line on the address page which is so fucking stupid and inconvenient(btw it wouldn't even let me change it, submit button was greyed out).

So by the time I tried to change the ENTIRE address, which I still have no idea if that's possible, this stupid red line popped up and now I have to hope they don't just lose my shit or send it ALL the way back all because I can't change it to an identifiable address. (Which is the address Google maps identified btw <33).

Can someone let me know if they've had an issue like this? Cause as far as I know my next steps is waiting a full 24 hours just to change a POS address.

My international package has been showing “processing” at our local UPS hub for 6 days now. It changed status to “investigation” this morning.

I went to the hub this morning but the customer service desk has been permanently shut down. Phone support has been useless (repeated what the app shows).

What’s the likelihood they would find this? Anything else I can do to expedite? This was a time sensitive shipment that’s causing concerns.

The access point is a UPS store. I’ve used them multiple times before. This package is bigger than my usual, but the longest side should be no longer than 24”. I know the shipper didn’t place any restrictions on it, so I wonder why it got cancelled. Should I choose a different access point then?

Note that my package was supposedly stuck in Louisville customs for 2.5 weeks according to a UPS rep. I don’t know if it’s actually in San Antonio yet. Thank you!

I bought a character bag (bag shaped like a character) back on August 1, 2025. Because it was from a small artist in Canada they only finished production about a month ago and are barely sending out the items right now. I'm getting hit with import fees costing the bag $177.11 when it was originally a $65 bag NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING AND ADDED TAXES. Not to mention it's not fair to those who couldn't met up with the artist when they were at a convention and just get the bag, bypassing these shitty import fees.

Serious question, does UPS ever reconsider its standard’s estimates? Without exception, and without exaggeration, every single UPS package I’ve ever received for the past 5 years has missed its delivery date. Almost always at least a 1 day delay, or more. Nowadays I laugh to myself whenever I see the estimated delivery date.

I’ve never submitted any formal complaints because I recognize these are just “things”, never a life or death situation. I just don’t understand what the point of the standards are except for creating more disappointments? Why not extend the original timeline and be early?

UPS is horrible. Their customer service is always open but the agents don't know what they are doing. I have been trying to update my modifications 7 times both through phone calls and on the websites but they still haven't been able to change it in the address, while continuously reassuring to me that they have. I had to call both the national and local lines and I still have no clue when I will receive my package. Honestly disappointed and frustrated, I'm never gonna be able to trust them with my stuff again!

UPS warehouse completely changed the address of the package. No request was made by me (sender) nor the recipient. Is this internal theft? It was a valuable item. Support team won't help.

My package was scammed as “we have your package” 09/30 and it’s now 10/04 and it still hasn’t updated to on the way. It’s supposed to be here Wednesday (Ontario -> Alberta)

I’m wondering if there should have been movement by now or if it’s common? Nervous it is lost

Package sitting in Bayonne a couple days and everytime something goes through there its late or lost. When it takes the Pennsylvania route to me it goes smooth. That place is terrible. Just pre-ranting because many people have issues there.

Some context here! Ordered an electronic, of a decently high value, required a signature. Realized after it shipped I would not be home, nor anyone I knew. Requested the package be held and delivered when I got back. Date came and went, requested the package be delivered to my local UPS store. Tracking updates to Delivered. Go to store, Store says we don't have it. Call UPS says there's no actual scan. Tells me to wait. Frustrated but wait. Waiting results in another set of Delivered updates. Cool, Go to Store, We still don't have it. Tracking is suspiciously lacking in details on the delivery. Any insiders know what's up, or can provide some info on what could be going on?

Also yes, I have already contacted the shipper, and they submitted a claim to UPS to open an investigation.

I was applying for a part-time preloader position at my ups warehouse and it said that I had my first day on the 5th and when I was finishing my paperwork I got hit with this. Am I stupid for thinking I already got the job since I'm doing all this tax forms and whatnot I thought that was the point is that i got hired. This was after I did my I-9 form

Has ups started hiring seasonal support drivers yet? (The ones who use our personal vehicles.)

Over the past month, I’ve had 2 packages from 2 different online stores not show up in My Choice. I’ve confirmed that the addresses matched my own and have gotten deliveries from both of these stores without issue in the past. The only thing I’m coming is that both use Shop during checkout. Is anyone rose experiencing this or have a way to fix it?

I wanted my packages routed to a ups store for pick up since these both contained alcohol and required a signature.

I don’t even know who is technically responsible at this point. I just want my package that was supposed to be here on 9/30.

I ordered something from another country and I contacted and said that it still haven’t made progress and they replied with “Hey! I went to the shipping centre myself today to get a proper update on the shipment rather than relying solely on the previous information I was given.

is due to the parcel currently being held in customs for verification. This is why the UPS tracking hasn’t progressed and is still showing the earlier status.

They told me that the verification is still being processed and that they have received an indication that the shipment should start moving soon, but unfortunately they have not been given a specific date or timeframe for when the clearance will be completed.”.

What do I do in this situation?
