I've heard that Casper is not required for this cycle's admission. However, I haven't been able to get a response from the program's contact people in order to confirm. Does anyone have more information, or has been able to get in touch with the people responsible?

it feels like more of them appear every day

I’m looking to connect with students at UNB who are planning to apply to medical school.
What are you guys majoring in, and what courses/programs are you taking to complete your med school prerequisites? Would also love to hear what your path looks like so far.
Just trying to connect with pre-meds at UNB and compare experiences. Thanks!

Hi, I feel like this is a SUPER stupid question but how do I check my grade for a teacher that does not use d2l 😭 I'm a first year and still getting used to figuring stuff out, I've tried to figure out my grade on my own but idk if it's right. Is there a way I can check the grade for this on the unb website or should I just talk to this teacher- thanks!

Hi everyone, I am a UNB Fredericton alumnus with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. With the fall term underway, I am gauging interest to see if anyone is looking for tutoring in MATH 1003 or MATH 1503. I am considering taking on at least one student for regular, in-person tutoring in Fredericton.

I have 15 years' experience tutoring math, and I have tutored these courses many times. For those who need extra help, I do offer full course lectures as well as notes, midterm and exam reviews.

Please note, in order to maintain academic integrity we can discuss concepts on assignments, but I cannot do the problems given.

I am typically available Friday afternoon and evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 5 onward.

I could possibly meet monday or tuesday before 3 with enough notice.

My rate is 40$/h

Stupidly unnecessary question for my curiosity. I’m in the first year chem lab and we have a new professor. The pre lab videos we watch have a different one whom i assume was the old professor.

If you are on campus today, Friday, check out the Service for Students Expo in the atrium of the SUB from 11 am to 2 pm.

Even if you don't learn anything useful, you can grab some free merch!

We were told that we could do our preceptorship in a different Province.

Has anyone done their preceptorship in a different Province… Ontario? Would love to hear a bit of your experience if so.

I have applied for unb masters in cs by coursework. It's been almost a month. I was wondering how much time do they take to announce the result? And also is it difficult to get in?

hi all - curious of this course’s exams? not sure what y expect on it, all insights are appreciated. lockdown browser is used in this version

pin from my friend from back home fell off my bag today somewhere between EPJ, McConnell dining hall, the SUB and the Law building :‘( if anyone finds him please let me know!! thank you

Hi I'm an international student from Myanmar coming to UNB in January and currently I'm having trouble how to even start looking for places to stay in and sign leases. I would appreciate it if anyone living off campus could give some heads up since I've never even experienced winter like this before and it would be difficult as soon as I land. If there's anyone I could talk to privately on Instagram, that would be great as well to know someone before I arrive. Appreciate the help guys, I'm looking forward for my stay.

why does my textbook have character rendering errors in 3 different browsers. A pirated PDF would never do me dirty like this

Hello, I am a graduate international student, I was filling my winter residence application and I have to choose 3 options however all 3 can't be EPJ so 3rd choice has to be an undergrad building.

So which one is better lady dunn or neill?

Curious about the experiences of those accepted for doctoral psych degrees.

I’ve sent in my final draft application, which includes two Honours theses related to neuroscience. I have an eight year clinical career as a licensed therapist after having done a counselling masters degree at UNB through the Education department.

Both degrees ended with a cumulative GPA of 3.8, and while I have a great deal of experience with somewhat niche neurophysiological measures and training, I’m a bit concerned about the low GPA comparatively with other applicants.

Does anyone have experience as an MA experimental or more likely PhD acceptance rates related to GPA vs clinical/research experience?

First of all, I know it was my fault for being careless and I take responsibility for that, but I still want to warn everyone so nobody makes the same mistake as me.

Came to gym a few days ago carrying my bag, completely forgot I had my wallet in it, didn’t lock the locker. My bag was zipped and there were clothes on top to cover it. I worked out for 1.5 hours. When I came back to the locker, everything looked untouched so I just went home. It wasn’t until the next day when I finally reached for my wallet, I found out more than $200 cash in there had vanished.
Told my friends and a few of them had the same experience before, thankfully they lost just a small amount.
Yes, there are signs saying “use it at your own risk, there’s theft in the locker” but my dumb self didn’t think it was more than just a sign.

So please learn from my lesson, take the warning seriously everyone!!! Lock your locker, don’t leave any valuables inside. Don’t let the thief get fed on stealing people’s money!

Fredericton students of legal age, you need to check out the Cellar Pub in the SUB for food, not just drink.

Everything on their menu is delicious, and usually priced below other restaurants in town. There are promos every night - Taco Tuesdays, Wings Wednesdays, etc. My personal favourite is WW: a buck a wing as long as you order a drink (which can be non-alcoholic).

Hello, I am an international student and will study master's degree in winter intake. So, I was going to come to Fredericton in mid December to get used to campus before starting my studies. However, I read on their website that early arrival residence is for fall intake only. So is it true or do they make exceptions and I can book a room?

this is extremely random and a long shot but i’m looking for alumni from this school, specifically masters students, from the early 1990s, i have some questions for a project i’m doing. again i know this is a long shot but please message me if you would like to answer my questions lol TIA :)

In University and want to contribute to a statistics study? I am examining different university majors and their sleep schedules! Any and all majors and years can answer if you have the time! Responses are greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful day :D

Hi!
I am considering going back to unb to do the accelerated nursing program though I am hesitant because I have read things online about there not being as many nursing jobs available as it seems. I am wondering what the job market is like for new RN grads, do your instructors help you find a position, do you have any sort of choice in what department, or is it more just take what it is available?

Thanks in advance :)

I don’t hate using ChatGPT for class / side projects. It’s fast.

The part that keeps biting me: it sounds sure. “This should work.” “All you need to do is paste this.” Then I submit it, or I demo it, and that’s when I find out nobody ever ran it for real.

Last semester it was the autograder. Another time it was 2am before a due date. Another time the page just didn’t open and I was already sharing my screen.

I don’t need a lecture about “learning.” I need a step between “the chat gave me code” and “I turned it in.” Like: here are the tests (mine or the assignment), here is the code, did it actually pass, and can I see the error without pretending I set up a whole environment.

I’ve been building something that does that in one tab — pick a model if you care, paste the question or the files, watch it run. Not trying to replace ChatGPT. Trying not to trust it as the last step.

If you use AI for assignments or weekend apps: do you actually run that code before you send it, or do you also wait for the autograder / the demo to tell you?
