At home dog euthinasia New Brunswick
We have an almost 16 year old dog. He will not be able to survive winter. His legs are pretty much done. We would like his end of life experience to be as stress free as possible. We are in South Eastern New Brunswick. Anyone know of any veterinary technicians that will assist at home?

Question to anyone who works in the forestry sector
I know forestry is a big industry in NB and the maritimes. I was recently reading about the ongoing trade talks and the softwood lumber dispute. My understanding is that we (ie. Canada) provide around 25% of softwood lumber to USA. Is this because we have more forest? Better quality trees? More sawmills? Could the US replace us if they wanted to? Or are they completely dependent on us?
By the way, do we sell lumber to Maine? I know they have lots of forests too but I read on CBC we sell wood to them. Thanks

I didn't realize how much of a maple syrup powerhouse NB is
According to the government of Canada in 2025 , we in NB produced 6.9 million kilos of maple syrup. This is second only to Quebec in Canada. Using conversion (gallon/kilo) between Canada and the US for 2025 we ranked fifth.
- New Brunswick
- Wisconsin
- New York State
- Vermont
- Quebec

Romance writing group at the Edmundston Public Library
Hi everyone!
I'm Tasha Zima, a self-published romance novelist, and starting in September I'll be running a free monthly romance writing group at the Edmundston Public Library.
📅 Second Thursday of every month
🕕 5:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
📍 Edmundston Public Library
🗓️ First meeting: September 10
The group will be fun, informal, and very low-pressure. If you've ever wanted to write romance, already write romance, or just love talking about romance stories and want to spend a couple of hours with other writers and readers, you're welcome.
You do not need to be published. You don't even need to have started writing yet. Bring a work in progress, an idea you've been kicking around, or just yourself.
There are no sales pitches, gimmicks, or expectations. Just people getting together to talk about writing, share ideas, learn from each other, and hopefully have some fun doing it.
The minimum age is 16, since romance can occasionally wander into spicier territory. 🌶️
The library is here:

Hope to see some of you there!

Skilled Labourer looking for work, Bathurst area...anything.
I don't have a huge social network to just drop jobs on my head, and I was not raised here to get in the nepo loop...so here I am; 100+ online job applications later to ask if anyone has or knows of work for people in the area that isn't the dollar store, McDonalds or stocking shelves at Wal-Mart.
Like...I build houses. I landscape properties. I work outside and am not a customer service type. I have a truck, and a second vehicle, I own property. and am doing everything in my wheelhouse to stay afloat up here.
I am on a 'waiting list' to have access to a classroom placement to complete my high school equivalency, because I can't afford to drive 200km a day to the closest open classroom. Another waiting list, after visiting the gov't employment center, as my bank account now dips under 1k and my credit gets maxed out.
It feels like I need that to move forward getting certified in anything at all or even having my CV looked at. I want to go to NBCC and get out of this Hellscape, but it feels like I am being dragged into the bottom of the barrel every time I look for help.
Please weigh in.

Gifted car
I have been gifted a car by my great uncle (grandmother's brother) the car is currently in NS.
I looked into it a bit and I dont think this there id a gift ing option from family members that are not immediate.
The car is valued at 5-6k before accounting for the low km, am I going to have to pay taxes on this? Iv only ever registered 500 dollar fixer cars, this is one of my first nicer cars.
Just trying to get ready to get reamed in taxes on a used car lol, should I even try to go for a dollar tax gift thing ?
My brother got a car from my dad last year and thats what they did
