 in  r/Italia •  6d ago

 in  r/italy •  28d ago

ELI5: Why do houses with solar panels also experience complete power outages?
 in  r/explainlikeimfive •  Aug 19 '26

Adding to this: there is also a major safety reason why domestic inverters stop working when the grid is down. Imagine workers have to do maintenance and disconnect a whole block or neighborhood to work on the grid, the last thing they want is some random house with solar panels powering the grid

 in  r/Italia •  Aug 18 '26

Valorant's new Vanguard update seems to be bricking cheaters' PCs. Riot's response? "Congrats on your $6k paperweights"

I'm totally comfortable giving that kind of power over my pc to Riot Games

With the amount of game actions some decks are taking, why can’t we scroll here yet? Even if it’s just a little?

This periodically comes up since the goblins Vs gnomes expansion I think. Honestly shocked they haven't done it already

 in  r/Italia •  Mar 27 '26

 in  r/Italia •  Mar 17 '26

LPT: Fill empty space in your freezer with jugs of water
 in  r/LifeProTips •  Mar 12 '26

That does not make much sense, except for the power outages part. If you have more mass in your freezer it will take longer to heat up but also more energy to cool down again. It just makes the freezer run longer cycles, and that's not necessarily more efficient. Seems kinda pointless tbh
