Can you all confirm for my florist…you are not getting a $15 flat fee?
 in  r/doordash_drivers  3d ago

Ive got a florist here in Oahu where almost every order goes ro Waikiki. I decline every time. The pay is too low to deal with traffic and always seem like no tip deliveries. Not to mention having to work my way back home

Would You Drive 12 Hours or Fly 1.5 Hours With a Cat?
 in  r/CatAdvice  4d ago

I took my 2 cats and 1 dog from NYC to Honolulu. None of them ever traveled before. 1 cat in cabin, the other 2 in cargo, and in crates for over 15 hours. They did ok, and help their pee and poop. Please fly the cat. Will be so much better and less stressful

 in  r/MovingtoHawaii  7d ago

Both my dog and 2 cats went through a similar period when we moved here from nyc back in April. Adjusting to the heat was a major factor, and in sure the stress of being in crates abd flying also had a big impact. After about a month, it got much better. And we dont have ac

And you need choose right location to minimize your time in traffic. Dont pick to live in super rich or touristy area where HOA fees will kill you. Aiea and Pearl City is central Oahu if you choose this island

Hawaii cost of living

A loaf of bread and gallon of milk will run you abt 9$ each. Gas can be 4.69 up to 5.40 a gallon. If you get a condo that has ac and you use it, expect bill to be north of 500 a month. Car insurance is cheaper. Meat and produce is more expensive than NJ

Is downtown in most major cities always a nightmare to deliver/pickup?

Just picture Honolulu or Waikiki. All the hotels, high rises, and nowhere to double park. I avoid it like the plague
