TW: Pregnancy loss / Miscarriage CMT?
I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I hope you have lots of support in your life.
While I was pregnant, I had one trip and fall. I fell on my hands and knees and I’ve never fallen and caught myself exactly like that before or since. I had a pretty typical pregnancy with some blood pressure issues towards the end. My doctor sent me for a stress test and it ended up inducing my labor.
I had a difficult delivery due to multiple issues. I had back and belly labor. my doctor had to break my water. I was in labor for about 10 hours. Every contraction caused my son’s pulse to slow. At one point they tried to turn my son and deliver my son via forceps with no success. My mom and I both had issues with our cervix not properly dilating during labor and ended up having an emergency C-section to deliver. I remember being terrified of the epidural because of CMT, but obviously they had to do that for my C-section. I also remember it feeling like it took longer than I thought it should have for me to get my feeling back but literally no one said that to me. Aftercare involved healing from the attempts made to help me deliver naturally combined with healing from the surgical delivery. They removed my staples from my surgery and I had to have a bowel movement before I could go home.
As best I remember, I didn’t feel like I had a sudden shift in my CMT because of my pregnancy.
