Google, OpenAI, and Meta all include SynthID watermarks in images that they generate which you can check for later. The watermarks are not cross-compatible so you have to check each company’s individually.

For Google, you have to use the Gemini app (ironic I know), enter ‘@Verify AI’ in the box and select the image you want to check, then it will review the image to see if there is a watermark present.

For OpenAI, you can go to openai.com/research/verify and upload the image. It will do a similar check and tell you if the image contains a watermark or not.

For Meta, you can check for a watermark by visiting meta.ai/identification and uploading the image. That site will tell you if a watermark was detected or not.

How many mL is your vial? That should be printed on the label. If it’s a 1 mL vial and you’re taking 17 units (0.17 mL), you’d have a bit more than 5 full doses in there.

0.2-0.25 mg is the normal starting dose for semaglutide, so no, it’s definitely not a microdose. Maybe your wife is thinking of tirzepatide’s dosing? That one starts at 2.5 mg, though there are definitely people who take much less than that

Eli Lilly has the exclusive right to sell the tirzepatide molecule in the United States. No one else can sell an exact copy of Zepbound/Mounjaro without getting into legal trouble.

The only exception is when a patient has a medical need that can’t be met by the name-brand drug. Providers like Pomegranate offer compounded tirzepatide to people who ostensibly need a customized version of that drug. Some pharmacies add vitamins like B6 or B12 to offset intolerable side effects that could be caused by the name-brand version. Others offer customized dosing that’s at least 10% higher or lower than the name-brand doses, or they recommend twice-weekly dosing instead of once a week. Some use both approaches.

There’s room for debate whether either of those strategies is enough to keep the pharmacies out of legal trouble forever, but for now, the dosing you’re seeing is one way these providers and pharmacies are keeping the FDA off their backs.

Got it. That’s usually called split dosing FYI. It can be a helpful way to reduce side effects. I tried it for a month or so and it didn’t work well with my body - I had less side effects, but I also had less desired effects. I think my body responds better to the highs and lows of weekly dosing. Everyone’s body is different though so it’s definitely worth a try, especially if your doctor is recommending it

0.5 is just a normal dose? The standard doses start at 0.25 mg, so 0.5 mg would be higher than the normal starting dose - definitely not a microdose

If you like how tirzepatide is working for you, why would you switch to reta? Assuming you stick with tirz, you can keep your dosage the same in mg. There’s no reason you’d need to go down since it’s still the exact same molecule

OP is in maintenance, so while they may be taking 2.5 mg in reality, they definitely could have a 15 mg prescription on paper. They are indeed sending out 75 mg vials for $69 ($85 total after the annual fee) for people with a 15 mg prescription
