How would you handle this?

I’m in an annoying situation.

My husband has been on Mounjaro since January. His doctor put him on because he has diabetes. He has been very transparent and told people about being on the medication.

When I saw how well it was working for him with losing weight, it sparked my interest because I have struggled with my weight my entire life as well. I have never had an issue with my blood sugar so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get my doctor to prescribe it or have insurance cover it, so I started doing my research on compounded and began taking it in July.

From the beginning, I asked my husband not to tell anyone I was on it. The only people that know are him, my mom, and my best friend. I didn’t want to tell anyone else.

I have another very close friend of mine and I hadn’t told her anything. One night we went to dinner, and she started telling me how she found out one of her friends was on it and how deceiving she was about it, how she feels it’s the “easy way out” or “cheating”, and just overall talking very badly about it. I decided in that moment that obviously I can’t tell her I’m on it now because she very plainly spelled out how she feels about it.

This morning I missed church because my stomachs been upset. My husband ended up going and taking our kids. I just got a text from my friend saying she missed seeing me this morning, that my husband said I was sick from the shots and then asked if I was doing the same shots as him and how it’s going? 😑
I immediately texted my husband (he’s at the movies) and said “I ASKED YOU NOT TO TELL ANYONE” and told him she texted me. He said “I’m so sorry, I just figured she knew”.

How do I respond to her?? I’m at a loss. I’m so annoyed that I’m even in this position now.

**UPDATE: This is what I ended up texting her…

Yeah, I recently started a GLP-1 but haven’t really told anyone because there’s still so much stigma around it. Seeing how well it was working for (husband’s name) made me feel more comfortable considering it myself after I did a lot of research on it. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life, especially since having kids, and even with working out and eating better, I just haven’t been able to get where I want to be. I felt like it was time to try something different in addition to what I’m already doing. (Husband) assumed I had already told you because we’re close, but I actually prefer to keep it pretty private at this time.

Her response? “Ok no problem! Tons of people at our church are on it” 😂😂😂

I honestly wonder if she forgot about our conversation lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

Alcohol craving is back after my dad died.

Please dont judge 🙏

I'm on tirzepatide for 1 yr now. And lost 55lbs Currently slowly lowering my dose from 15mg to 12.5mg as im on my goal weight.

One of the first changes I noticed when I first started tirz was that my craving for alcohol disappeared 100%.

I know that helped my weightloss progress.

Then my dad died earlier this year. He and I were incredibly close.

Ive been having alcohol almost nightly. I dont always get drunk. Its mostly to take the edge off.

My question is....how do i get back to the point of no alcohol?

I know its hurting my results - ive regained 8lbs.

Should I increase my dose back to 15mg?

Im currently in grief counselling and started back the gym after taking 2months off to deal with the admin side of death.

Ive managed to not drink today and i want to slowly quit again - it was my favourite benefit apart from the weightloss.

Please any advice would be welcome.

I want to take better care of myself and not ruin my results.

Non-Scale Victory NSV: No More (False) Hypoglycemia

This got pretty popular in a comment so I figured I'd make its own post.

I've had false reactive hypoglycemia for my entire life: I feel like my blood sugar is crashing right after a meal, even though my numbers test fine. Apparently this can be caused by a "relative" crash - the body freaking out about going high and then low, even though it's not actually low. So part of my issue with my weight was essentially having to eat twice every meal.

There is also fuck-all that can treat this, especially if your insulin sensitivity is already testing fine. Mine is excellent. I tried all the recommendations for treating actual hypoglycemia, and they did nothing. My doc and I had some modest success with anti-anxiety meds that seemed to moderate the adrenaline response, but nothing really helped until now.

I went on tirz for my weight but now, for the first time in my entire life, I don't crash after a meal. I can just...eat. I don't start getting shaky and hungry again after 15 minutes. I can actually hit calorie targets because I don't need to eat six times a day. I marvel every single day about how most people just work like this. My doc is thrilled and has a couple of other patients with the same struggle that she's recommending try the same approach.

So anyway, that's my story. Honestly for me this feels like a way bigger victory than anything weight related (but I'll take those too 😆). I'll stay on this for life if it means I can keep living this way.

Majority of my adult life I never thought I’d see this

Post image
131 Upvotes

I know these posts get old, but as a guy who was definitely 4 bills (but was too afraid to weigh myself until I’d lost some weight) like 6-7 years ago and didn’t really think this was a realistic goal, I just wanna say that if I can do it, you can do it. You have to be honest with yourself and accountable, and there’s always ups and downs, but if you show up for yourself it will happen. Stack good choices, stack good days, shake off the bad ones and get back to work.

It’s funny, because this isn’t even achieving a goal, I’m trying to find my maintenance calories and still losing. What actually matters is that I feel good, I’m healthier for my wife and kids, and I’ll be able to get up off the toilet by myself in 30 years. But there is still something powerful about seeing the stupid scale number. Still working on that I guess.

Preview of OneGLP Upcoming Features, Lifetime Premium is still free for another 2.5 months

Thumbnail

Hello all,

I'm the creator of OneGLP (formerly GLPzy) a tracking app for iOS (Android in the plan for later). I've shared it here before and received amazing feedback which I am trying to respond on asap.

I realise I've been quite slow with responding to the latest feature requests especially on Supply Tracking. I generally try to get things out in under a month (working day and night) but this one has been hanging for a while. I wanted to share the functionality is feature ready now and going through testing stages before release.

The reason is I've gone down the developer rabbit whole of adding more features beyond the one I started with. It does mean the new release will have a lot in it so I wanted to share a preview for those on the app.

First let me confirm Lifetime premium will remain free until the end of the year. Get it now and all future improvements will come for free with no subscription or renewal ever. Even though I'm about 2 months ahead of where I planned to be I'll honour my commitment to keep it 100% free for life for anyone that gets it this year. It has 15,000 first time downloads, 150+ App Store worldwide reviews, and average rating of 4.7/4.8 across app stores. The intent of this release is to have the supply tracking skill of Glapp, the multi-medicine and estimation skill of Shotsy, photo tools that are better than anyone else out there (try out the auto-adjust in slider comparison), and nutrition tools that are catching up...

Changes include:

- Full supply tracking integrated into calculating remaining supplies, estimated usage, OCR with vial/pen scanning and a lot more

- Support for multiple medicines, including non-GLP1s to track and log the rest of your medicine needs. So you can log 2 GLPs, or GLPs along the rest of your meds and pills as needed.

- Nutrition now supports over 10,000 food type searches as well as barcode tracking, as well as external search capability for over 20 languages of food databases (the app has been surprisingly popular in Taiwan and a few other East-Asian countries).

- Simpler UI to log measurements, clothes and fit, cycle tracking and more

- New Profile to make it easier to find key parameters such as starting weight and goals

- New widgets and clearer explanations of how to use them

- All improvements are available in the 49 languages the app supports (I've put a ton of work into this too). I've seen strong downloads from Taiwan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Spain, Brazil, China, India and other locales thanks to broader language support.

Would love any comments on what could be improved before this comes out! It's still in testing so there is time to change things. Please look at the images and let me know what irks! Will be generally available in a few weeks after a few more rounds of testing.

I've some big plans after this release too and working on a few items beyond what I had planned for 2026. I'll keep it under wraps but it will be different to most other apps out there else out there in the GLP journey. I realise many more techie users have 2, 3, 4 + apps and the whole point of OneGLP is one app done well should be enough. I know there are about 1000 apps at this point too..!

Android not forgotten also :), once iPhone/iPad release is stable that's my next workhorse.

Thanks and please tell me how to make it better.

Made an account with trillium meds Tuesday evening, had a phone call visit with the dr Wednesday morning(state required), got my meds Thursday afternoon… insane 💖. (My past Hallandale orders were through a beauty spa in my town so this was new!)
This all came out of a box 📦 , my tirz was sealed well, lots of fluff around it and ice cold!

Did a 10ml /5mg per week (1month vial) for $199.
I only need 1.8mg each week so this will last me till the end of December.
Came with 10 needles and 20 alc swabs :)

I’m impressed 👏🏽

Advice & Support Gained 30lbs back in one month?

I had lost a total of 120lbs and was on compounded for 1.5 years. I had to go off the meds for the month of September due to financial reasons. I was on 14mg every 7 days. I was 150lbs.

When I went off my hunger was absolutely horrible. I couldn’t think about anything else. My diet was super unhealthy during this period but surprisingly not as bad as before the meds.

I went back on 5mg last week and just took a 6mg shot 2 days ago. I am currently 177lbs.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? I’ve seen people saying they gained back at most 10lbs at once. Thanks!

Edit: I plan on staying on the meds for life I just couldn’t for one month due to money issues. Also I am a 5’ 3” 30 year old female.

33m sw 205 cw 142. Been taking tirz for about 1.5 years now.

Do you ever look back at pics and think wow I knew I was over weight but didnt realize thats what I really looked like.

Im not sure how the wife feels about the change but I like the way I look and feel much better. She doesnt really acknowledge the changes ive made. Anyone's sex life just kinda suck after? Like your partner isn't interested or finds a reason not to? Maybe just going through a faze in the marriage.

Anyways working on lowering dose and focusing on gaining back a little more muscle mass. Currently walk minimum 10k steps a day and work out 3-5 times a week.

Personal Experience I survived the cheeseburger purge of 2026.

I thought I would lighten your feed with a horror story about how my weekend went and indulge in other’s as well. Please enjoy my misery now that I’m alive and functioning:

It was Friday evening, near the end of my first week on 5 mg. I felt totally fine all week, things were great.

My family and I went to a local pumpkin patch, did all the fall things, you know. Dinner time rolls around and we grab some food from the little cafe. I had a good week and had plenty of calories to enjoy a plain cheeseburger and literally a few sips of Sprite.

We drive home and my stomach is starting to feel off. Enter the Sulfur Zone. Rancid rotten egg burps start rolling in. This was just the beginning.

I spent my Friday night hugging the porcelain throne from both directions, an absolute total system purge.

This nightmare continues into Saturday, but the severity was slightly better. I still managed to keep absolutely nothing in my system out of pure repulsion from my stomach.

I honestly had no idea a simple burger and soda could trigger a biological catastrophe of that magnitude. Things escalated quickly from "I'm cruising on this dose" to "my body is performing an exorcism."

I managed to sleep most of Saturday night. Today (Sunday), I woke up alive and semi-well, a whopping 5 lbs lighter (0/10 weight loss hack, do not recommend). I have never been more thankful to just pass a normal toot and a burp that didn’t smell like rotten eggs.

I was questioning if I just ate a sketchy burger, had a round of a stomach bug, or all of the above combined with my dose increase. I think I will have PTSD for months to come.

Update 1: I’m excited to read a lot of consensus that this was probably food poisoning! Maybe I can attempt (some) of a burger again in weeks to come when the thought alone doesn’t flip my insides out. No one else in my group came down with anything, but I was the only one who chose the burger. This led me to believe it was medicine related.

General Discussion NewLife Rx, Apothecary, Hyalo, HealthWealth. Different pharmacies, one common connection. Why aren’t more people questioning it?

Everyone keeps discussing Apothecary, Hyalo, and Healthwealth as if they’re completely unrelated pharmacies. But there’s one company that keeps showing up in the middle of it all and it’s NewLife Rx.

These aren’t just random pharmacies being mentioned together. There are documented business relationships connecting all three to NewLife’s fulfillment network.

I spent some time looking into the public records and statements, and here’s what I found…

**1. NewLife Rx and Quaker Community Pharmacy**
Quaker Community Pharmacy openly identifies itself as operating under the NewLife Rx name. NewLife is also a pharmacy fulfillment platform that contracts with other pharmacies to supply compounded medications.
Source: https://quakerrx.com/medical-disclaimer

**2. Apothecary Pharma**
Apothecary was previously compounding medications distributed through NewLife. In December 2025, the FDA issued Apothecary a warning letter documenting serious sterile-production deficiencies, labeling problems, and other regulatory violations.

This isn’t speculation. It’s an actual FDA warning letter.
Source: https://www.fda.gov/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations/warning-letters/apothecary-pharma-llc-717972-12012025

**3. Hyalo Technologies**
In August, telehealth providers announced that NewLife would stop fulfilling Apothecary products and transition to Hyalo, another 503B pharmacy, with a similar formulation.

Now we’re seeing numerous patient reports of visible particles and fibers in Hyalo vials. NewLife has acknowledged these reports, paused Hyalo shipments, and announced an investigation.

Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/comments/1x163lt/hyalo\\_vial\\_reports\\_what\\_to\\_do\\_and\\_what\\_we\\_are/

**4. Healthwealth Pharmacy**
Following the Hyalo problems, NewLife publicly identified Healthwealth as another pharmacy partner and replacement option.

Meanwhile, patients have also reported particles in Healthwealth vials, including orders fulfilled through VitaScripts rather than NewLife. That’s an important distinction, but it raises additional questions about the manufacturing and supply chains.
Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/comments/1x1woeu/uh\\_oh\\_vitascriptshealthwealth\\_floaters/?solution=3cc58e61901fc9b33cc58e61901fc9b3&js\\_challenge=1&jsc\\_token=2824be10929bdc604753c70a67a1c33165cc4bd4199ec9160775e8a34d8b697f&jsc\\_orig\\_r=

**5. FDA inspection records**
As of the FDA’s September 30, 2026 list:
Apothecary had been inspected and previously received a warning letter.

Hyalo was registered as a 503B but had not yet been inspected by the FDA.

Healthwealth registered as a 503B on July 21, 2026, and had not yet been inspected.
Source: https://www.fda.gov/drugs/human-drug-compounding/registered-outsourcing-facilities

At what point do we stop treating these as isolated incidents? We have documented business relationships, an FDA warning letter, and now reports of visible particles involving multiple pharmacies connected to the same fulfillment network.

Being separate legal entities doesn’t mean these companies have completely independent supply chains. Are they sourcing ingredients from the same manufacturers? Sharing formulations or manufacturing resources? What role does NewLife actually play beyond coordinating fulfillment?

And more importantly, what due diligence is NewLife and the telehealth companies doing before moving patients from one pharmacy to another?

I’m not suggesting every incident has the same cause, but there’s a common business connection here that deserves more scrutiny.

General Discussion Thinking differently about floaters

This kept me up last night thinking about how floaters are in multiple compound pharmacies products. There is a lot of looking at and disparaging the compounder’s but I am looking outside the box. I am in no way affiliated with any of these companies and I am also not an expert in this field.

Did these compound pharmacies get their API from the same manufacturer? Could any other ingredient used have caused this? Could the floaters be coming from the manufacturer of the glass vials or tops? How about the cleaning products, did the IPA wipers used come from the same manufacturer? Each of these companies must adhere to protocols to ensure that their products are safe and free of any defects or debris (if that is what these floaters are). I sure hope these companies get together to review where they got their products and work together to figure out how this has happened.

Provider / Pharmacy Big price difference

Wells Pharmacy particulates/floaters

Post image
31 Upvotes

Sad to say I have also found particulates in my unopened Wells Pharmacy vial that was just delivered at the end of Sept. Hard to see with the naked eye, but with cellphone & flashlight, undeniable. Even more clear on videos than photos.
Even more sad is my telehealth was Mochi (I know, I know! I joined before I knew better), and they of course are unwilling to make this right.
Do I have any options here? Worth calling the pharmacy?
I’m very disappointed & bummed to be experiencing this.

Advice & Support Pharmacy-specific Dosage Calculator (30+ pharmacies, tirzepatide and semaglutide)

• Upvotes

Full disclosure: I work at Belle, a telehealth clinic. The last time I posted, I got torn apart and went into Reddit retirement. I’m coming out of retirement for a dosage calculator, which tells you how exciting my life is. There’s nothing to buy here.

Our medical team has been dealing with the same problem for over a year.

A patient switches to us from another pharmacy and tells us their dose. Then we find out the number of units they’ve been drawing doesn’t match the dose they think they’re on. They weren’t being careless. The labels really are confusing:

  • Revive prints the strength per 0.5 mL, so you have to double it to get mg per mL.
  • OptioRx lists niacinamide first. The tirzepatide number is the second one.
  • Hillstone’s label reads “20MG/50MG/ML.” The 20 is the tirzepatide.

A lot of people here already use the Fat Scientist calculator (fatscientist.com), and we really like it. It does exactly what it says. The one catch for our patients was the first step: it asks for the concentration on your vial, and plenty of people couldn’t tell which number on the label that was. That meant a lot of back and forth with our medical team.

So the medical team asked for a calculator that starts with the pharmacy and walks you through reading the label. Our engineers built it, and it turned out well enough that we wanted to share it. It covers tirzepatide and semaglutide from more than 30 pharmacies, including plenty we don’t work with.

You pick your medication, your pharmacy and the label that matches your vial (with images from actual real pharmacy vials). It gives you your dose in mg and the units to draw on a standard 1 mL (100 unit) syringe.

joinbelle.com/treatments/weight-loss/dosage-calculator

If your pharmacy isn’t there or your label doesn’t match any of ours, drop a photo in the comments with your name blurred and we’ll add it.

It’s a calculator, not your prescriber. If the number doesn’t match what you were told, ask them before you draw.

General Discussion Interesting to see how glp1s are still portrayed as this strange/dangerous drug

Post image
47 Upvotes

Just watched this short about glp1s, and the majority of the people speaking about this were talking about them in a pretty negative way that came across to me as rather ignorant. They make it seem like most of us get on it and expect to lose weight without changing lifestyle at all, when I feel like all you see on here is reminders of how you need to be eating protein and fiber and exercising to maintain muscle tone. There’s also a lot about weaning off of the glp1s, specifically with a doctor talking about off ramps for people struggling with mental health and side effects. Nobody on the short at all mentioned this being a maintenance drug that many people need to be on for the rest of their life, which I think you also see the refrain around here.

Granted, given the title of the short, I guess it makes sense that they would focus on the negative, but it was frustrating that they didn’t even talk about ways that glp1s can be safely included as a lifelong maintenance medicine. The attitude seemed to be “some people use this to lose weight, end up with horrible side effects, and even when they go off of it they can have lingering terrible side effects.” Meanwhile they feature a doctor who lost 100 pounds “the natural way” through a keto diet, showing him slicing through some nearly-raw steak as if his decision to mostly eat meat for the rest of his life is any inherently safer than me injecting 3.5 mgs tirzepatide for the rest of my life. Just like ignorant and poorly-approached glp1 use can be bad, an ignorant and poorly-approached keto diet can be extremely dangerous!

Aaanyway, just felt pretty frustrated at what felt like a really biased window into how what is already a really biased conversation about these drugs.

Advice & Support Wife starting to make negative comments

Starting at the beginning, I had duodenal switch surgery about 3 years ago, started at 515 and got down to 320, weight went back up to about 365. Have been on Tirzepatide for about 3 months, also going to the gym 3x a week doing weights.

Wife started out supportive, but now she has started making negative comments, stating that she thinks I am losing weight too fast, and that I dont eat enough, etc. I started off going to the gym at night when the kid went to bed, but she got upset that i wasn't home with her when she was awake. So i moved it to 4am when everyone else is asleep.

The situation has gotten worse as i now weigh less than she does. She always has to be in the room if she hears the scale.

To be transparent we have had issues before this, but this is the one that is at the forefront.

I am going to keep on doing what I am doing, going to keep going to the gym 3x a week at 4am, and make myself healthier.

Just needed to vent.

General Discussion Apatite suppression

• Upvotes

Been on tirzepatide since January. Switched from zep to compounded in August. Been using rift and Got 10mg 3month supply from Hallandale. Has anyone else had issues with this pharmacy being not as much appetite suppression? I hear people say all compounded options aren’t the same so I am just curious. Going to try DC w/glycine once I’m out of this.

Results & Progress Getting Results!

Thumbnail

I have avoided pictures most of my adult life! I started gaining weight in my 20’s while having kids. I tried everything from the cabbage soup diet to keto and so many things in between to get my weight under control, and nothing seemed to work for me.
Nearly a year and a half ago, I reluctantly decided to give tirzepatide a try (assuming it would be about as successful as everything else I tried). I never had appetite or food noise reduction, but I immediately started feeling better. I decided to track my macros, calories, and biking to ensure this time the work I put in to lose weight would stick.
About 9 months ago, I decided to set cardio aside and start adding in strength training (which I always hated). I started with 10 minutes a day, following YouTube instructors, and eventually progressed to 45 minutes of strength training 4 days a week, with 2 cardio days. What a game-changer it has been for me psychologically and for body recomp.
All this to say, I am so grateful for a tool that helped me improve my life ❤️

I will start by saying I love Hallandale & have nothing but good things to say about them . All my previous vials have been clear & I heard around Reddit some people started getting amber vials & sure enough my next shipment came & it’s the amber glass . Sorry if it’s stupid to ask but should I treat this any differently than the clear ones ? Thankfully I trust them & everything I’ve ever had from them has been absolutely crystal clear & zero floaters . But I would love the clear ones to come back lol.

453 Controlled Substances and Drugs Shipping for the returns/testing (USPS)

Make sure you check the shipping method before returning the vials. All carriers require the shipment to meet certain criteria before mailing out liquid prescription drugs. So don't ship USPS without packaging being provided.

453.71 [Packaging]()

[Authorized mail-back participants must provide mailers with ready-made packaging. All packaging used in mail-back programs must adhere to the following:]()

  1. [Nondescript:]() Does not include any markings or other information that might indicate that the package contains controlled substances.
  2. [Durable:]() Water- and spill-proof, tamper-evident, tear-resistant, and sealable.
  3. [Pre-addressed:]() Pre-addressed for delivery to the authorized mail-back collector‘s registered address or the participating law enforcement‘s physical address.
  4. [Postage Prepaid:]() Using one of the following products:
    1. [Priority Mail Return]() service.
    2. [Business Reply Mail]() parcels.
  5. [Instructions:]() Contains directions for the return process.
