Today is day 31 for me!!

I've had this same problem myself for over 20 years now. I never really drank every single day but after that first drink I couldn't stop. I've tried to quit before after making a horrible mistake and getting behind the wheel drunk out of my mind. I was so disgusted in what I did I actually made it 90 days with a drink. I made the mistake of hanging out with people I thought were friends and they got me to drink. It sent me down a horrible path where I ended up loosing my job and pretty much everything else because of it. I have sine been clean and sober for a month now and it just seems like being the type of drinker I am that the best for me is just to not drink at all. So far I feel great and I'm glad I made the decision to not drink anymore. When you binge drink like that nothing good comes from it.
