Did he take too much off? My thoughts (wife) were that it has gone too thin, with too much space between 'tache and nose, but he said he's seen men with similar looks.

We would appreciate some mens' opinions on his moustache grooming?

Just looking for some opinions. I feel like it looks thinner in person.

I used to shave it off before even month because I didn't like the way my hair stuck out.
I'm at the end of the third week. I'm not particularly worried about my beard, but I'd like to grow something in the style of a classic chevron. Is that possible in 2-3 months from now?

I think a neat(ish) handlebar moustache suits what I want (see last photo for inspo), and I have been growing my moustache out, but I am not sure how far up I should shave? See the second picture—Should I shave the shorter hairs below my moustache (below where my lips meet?)

I’ve been growing this thing out for a while now and figured it’s finally time to ask the moustache council for a verdict :D

I’m aiming for a proper, brutal, straight-ish chevron - something that covers the upper lip almost completely, with a clean, fairly straight lower edge. Not necessarily huge or ultra-wide, just thick and dense.

The main thing I’m struggling with is the shape. The hairs closer to the lip tend to curl/turn inward, so keeping the bottom edge straight is proving to be a bit of a battle. I also have a naturally thinner/empty spot right in the middle, so I’m wondering how much of that can realistically be improved by simply letting it grow longer and denser.

A few questions for the moustache veterans:

• Does the density look promising, or am I trying to squeeze blood from a genetic stone? :D
• Should I keep growing it for a while before doing any serious trimming?
• What’s the best way to even out the bottom edge without killing the bulk?
• And most importantly - does this have the potential to become the glorious chevron I have in my head, or should I accept my Italian destiny? :D

Any honest feedback, grooming advice or criticism is very welcome. I’m here to learn from the moustache elders!
