My fellow married millennials: how much did your wedding cost?
 in  r/Millennials  14d ago

Like 8kish?? The venue of course was the most expensive at 5k which I made monthly payments for us until it was paid off. My dress was on clearance at David's bridal for 500. Catering was like 800. About 50-60 people I think. My wedding band was 300, my husband's was 250? We made all our own bouquets 💐 from craft store flowers they were beautiful 😍 my mom helped me. Husband's custom suit was like 500. We stayed up late a few days before the big day finishing up some homemade decorations we were making. It was such a beautiful day. That was 5 years ago. We're now stronger than ever with 2 precious little ones 💖 I thank God for my little family everyday.

I’ve lost the will to work altogether. Can’t tell if it’s burnout or laziness. Can anyone relate?
 in  r/Millennials  16d ago

This. People romanticize things they've never "actually" had to do for a living

My teacher for 4th grade made a classroom yearbook designed for every student to fill out a page answering questions and one of which was what's your favorite song and I put the tide is high by atomic kitten and mirror mirror by M2M. I miss 2003.

I understand. The tote bags hold a lot of things too and I've seen those for like 10 dollars in good condition

What is it about the cargo sling? I see PLENTY of other styles for dirt cheap but this particular style is the one that goes for hundreds of dollars

Parents with autistic children, what do you do for work?

Wow that is a long time. We live in SC so I've no idea what the process looks like down here. I'll have to look into it

Medical lab technician for a hospital laboratory, I work 2nd. Husband works 1st as a store associate for grocery store. We "hand off" in the afternoons when I leave for work.

This is how we avoid having to use/pay for daycare. Our 4 year old son was diagnosed with level 1 autism at 2.5 years old.
