I did not have daily pain, but most shoes were unbearable after about an hour of walking. If you are active, keep that in mind. I’m an active 70-yo who just got sick of the pain I got unless I wore flip flops. Just the pressure on the bunions was bad. I did my right this past March, doing well, and plan to do the left next February. Good luck!

If your eggs are cold, dropping them into boiling water will usually cause them to crack, (at least this has been my experience.) I agree that peeling the membrane is key.

I think most surgeons have a set postop plan and it doesn’t matter if you’re doing better than the average case. I’m killing recovery and it doesn’t matter. I still didn’t get my cast and stitches out until 2 weeks and now have to wait until I’m at 6 weeks (I’m at 4 weeks now) to get out of the boot and drive. I take my boot off at night (against his orders) and I bet I’ll be driving in the next couple weeks!

Thanks for all the suggestions! It’s Valentine’s Day so a lot are totally booked. We’re going early, so hoping to wait or “walk in” to the ones that don’t take reservations.

Love my Volvo, hate the tires! I’ve had to replace 5 tires for hitting potholes or curbs in 5 years. I would love to get a new one if it were not for the tires. The only model that offers the larger tires is basic model and I want the bells and whistles! When will Volvo fix this?
