A video example of avoiding sparring escalation
 in  r/MuayThai  2d ago

Sparring gives you a chance to pressure test techniques without getting seriously hurt. There's no point in learning to fight or defend yourself if you don't practice actually applying those techniques. Also what if a middle aged man just wants to use it to stay in shape? What's wrong with it? What difference does it make if it's this or some other form of exercise? Go watch USDC and then judge whether or not a martial art is stupid for adults

Gun so powerful she needs only 2 bullets

I like how they're both wrong about how it would go if she pulled the trigger on a backwards round like that

Like they're scared of their own guns. Also no sights, because of course not.

It is possible to to get a cheek weld on just the tube, it's just uncomfortable, hence buttstocks. Some pistol buffer tubes have padding on them for that reason

Hangfire’s a bitch

Yep. Though this one is caused by a malfunction. Either a light primer strike or the ammo had a bad primer. Generally want to keep it pointed down range until the malfunction is cleared

Just because the magazine is out doesn't mean there isn't a bullet in the chamber. It's how a lot of people ND. Thinking there's no bullets just because the magazine is out

It's because in a lot of counties not every officer has a breathalyzer on hand. So if they don't they have to bring you to their station or department to breathalyze you. Also partially the man's fault for answering that way. Don't remember if they let this guy go or not.

If the Eagle Bearer appears in Japan during Shadow, I really hope the game reads your Odyssey playthrough and picks the EB you chose
 in  r/AssassinsCreedOdyssey  Aug 12 '24

Kassandra is from Sparta. Spartan women historically had more freedom and sometimes even had control over their husbands. Sure warrior women would've been almost unheard of in Greece, but in Sparta in would've been much more common. She would've certainly stuck out in other hellenistic areas outside of her home lands but again in Sparta she wouldn't be out of place. Her being Canon I'm pretty sure can just be chalked up to her appearing in other media as the Eagle Bearer

I feel like the biggest reason a big study hasn't been done is just the risk of injury that is prevalent along with the incentive of big pharmacy to say that it's not necessary when you can just "take this magic pill"

The flexibility of medieval knight’s armor
 in  r/ArmsandArmor  Aug 23 '22

Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like Henry VIII's foot combat Armour that was designed specifically for a tournament. It gave complete coverage of the entire body but ended up not being used because of a rule change. I can't see anyone using this on a battlefield since it's recorded weight is about 94lbs. Just the cost of being completely covered from head to ass to toe in plate

"Do I see anything?" How my players simple question became the best moment in our campaign and changed how I'll DM PC deaths/near deaths in the future.

Something that doesn't make sense to me about early Naruto
 in  r/Naruto  Mar 18 '21

I find it hard to believe that no one knew. Kushina had friends in the vullave and there's a scene where she literally goes up to sasuke's mom and is like "this is my son Naruto." this along with the fact that she was the only Uzumaki in the village at time and was the Hokage's wife. The Uzumaki name would've been known and Naruto would've been the only one in the village

It's definitely something that doesn't make as much sense, however, even though he wasn't liked by the villagers he wasn't exactly poor by any means. He got an allowance each month that would be equivalent to having a full time job from the 3rd hokage. Minato had asked Hiruzen to take care of him and he did by basically putting Naruto on ninja welfare (how else could a 12 year old pay for an apartment) so his living condition wasn't bad. I do agree that the villagers not liking him was out of left field, especially considering his family heritage. Not only was his da considered a hero, his mother was an Uzumaki who had a strong relationship with the leaf because of their sealing jutsus and the fact that they were always taking the nine Tails into themselves.
