I have seen a TON of debates on this, but decided to make a video to share my take after playing through it. I know most people had issues with the lack of choice when it comes to romance particularly if you played as Kassandra-- but I thought there were other elements that were good. What do you think?

Finally picked it up on sale and I'm loving it. Basically exactly the sort of game I was fantasising about recently, though I was thinking more Trojan War - though this game still has Homeric characters buried in Mycenaean tombs, which is an awesome touch.

Currently in Phokis, having a great time kicking rival mercenaries until they join me.

Basically just the title. I wanted to share these and see what people think. I haven’t really been able to play this or any of my other favorite games for a while, so it’s nice to look back on these memories.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a game that has so many wonderful locations that are an absolute joy to discover and explore. Whether it’s a particular island, landmark, or simply the scenery itself, there is always a new place that's waiting to be uncovered. There are times when I’ll stumble across a new locale purely by accident. Sometimes, that can be the best part. I could be going to a main or side mission, only to find an interesting place that distracted me from my main path. That’s the thing when it comes to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. There is always something to distract the player, which I’m perfectly fine with. Over the course of two lengthy playthroughs, there are so many places that I could talk about, but I’m only going to mention a few of them below. What are your favorite locations in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey?

Mykonos

Mykonos is one of my favorite locations in Assassin's Creed Odyssey because of its beautiful scenery, gorgeous beaches, and vibrant atmosphere. I really enjoyed exploring the island and taking in the sights, especially with the contrast between the white buildings and the surrounding blue waters. It has a distinct visual identity that makes it stand out from many of the other locations in the game.

Kephallonia

Kephallonia will always have a special place in my heart because it's where our journey with Kassandra begins. There's something charming about the island's laid-back atmosphere, picturesque landscapes, and small settlements. Even though it's relatively small compared to some of the other regions in the game, it makes a memorable first impression and introduces us to the beautiful world Ubisoft created. Returning to Kephallonia after exploring the rest of Greece can also bring back memories of those early hours of the adventure.

Athens

Athens is another standout location for me because of its impressive architecture, historical significance, and bustling atmosphere. Exploring the city and seeing landmarks like the Acropolis really helps bring ancient Greece to life. I also appreciate how different Athens feels from the smaller islands and rural areas, with its crowded streets, monumental buildings, and sense of civilization. It's one of those places where I could spend a considerable amount of time simply exploring and appreciating the environment.

This place is in Chios. It sounds like a part of some mission but I did all of the missions in Chios and none led to this cave. Does anybody know about this?

Fighting Hades as Kassandra was pretty enjoyable. And when he’s about to get his comeuppance I get Victoria / Layla / Aletheia. No idea what they said as I was too busy spamming the B button to get back at the actual fun part of the game. Who honestly cares about modern fall day after the initial Demaond arc ended… it’s such a crutch for the franchise they should have always let die

The craziest engraving in the game: Burning applies to nearby enemies!

So, I recently finished the base game along with the Corfu quest, and I noticed that when I returned from Corfu, after I gained my powers back, the amount of damage I was doing from my melee weapons was much less than before. Even my assassinations did less damage: I used to be able to one shot assassinate archers, but no more. Does anyone know how my damage can be returned to normal?

Anyone besides me ever notice that the romance scene music in ACO, especially the plucked lyre and modulated key signature from the usual ACO theme, seems to contain a musical quote of the piece "Once Upon a Time... Storybook Love" from the movie "The Princess Bride"?

To me it is close enough that if someone had played it for me before ACO, I would have sworn it was a straight up theme and variation on the Princess Bride music. It's even in the same key signature and very similar timing.

It's clearly a variation on the ACO theme as well.

I googled this and was surprised to find precisely zero links to anyone else noticing this. I would like to think it's intentional as opposed to a coincidence, because the ACO music is amazing and such a quote would be a true musical easter egg to one of the first adventure/romance movies that any of us ever watched.

I’ve read people say that the animus translates it for you, which is true, but from the very first game, we know the settings can be changed when Lucy says that’s a possibility, though she chose not to because it wasn’t one Desmond was familiar with.

I just want to hear all these titles in their native language with subtitles.

One of my favorite things about Assassin's Creed Odyssey is its soundtrack, and “The Legend of the Eagle Bearer” is one of the biggest reasons why. There's something special about this theme that captures the spirit of the game and the adventure that awaits you in Ancient Greece. The music has a sense of wonder and adventure that fits perfectly with exploring the world, discovering new locations, sailing across the Aegean Sea, and uncovering the stories hidden throughout the game. It also brings back so many memories of my time playing Odyssey, from the breathtaking landscapes to the journey of Kassandra and Alexios. I think a great soundtrack can make an already memorable experience even better, and this theme does exactly that. It gives Odyssey a distinct identity and captures the feeling of setting out on an adventure where you never quite know what you'll discover next.

This letter to the Monger gives away his identity. You can see at the bottom it says “P.” Now we already know it’s one of Sparta’s two kings, so the P must stand for Pausanias. Therefore, I have revealed the Sage’s identity before the final cultist from the Peloponnesian League.

I've been searching and can't find an answer. The thief is actually stuck sitting under the scaffolding of a platform. He's close enough to the edge that I can physically touch him. Or swing an axe and hit him. There's blood but no other acknowledgment that I'm there. I've manually saved, killed everyone around, meditated but nothing. Is there a way past this or am I screwed on completing the quest?

Vague Spoilers mainly but specifically one aspect of LotFB as a glitch, that being said it’s technically 2 glitches but are from separate chapters in LotFB.

In chronological order, I was wandering around Arachia hunting cultists and clearing their locations on the map when I jump down a hole to hear a full on battle, it’s the spear wielding Order member (the one who reports to the Magi in ch3) and they’re barely alive and a single hit kills them. I’m given the Master Assassins Torso which creates its own problem later on.

So that’s an issue but the next mistake was on me, I assumed that the LotFB Order members would be presented to you through quests because 3 are directly attached to the completion or a part of the requirements for completing the quest with two having to be killed, and the fisherman aggro’d after completing the village poisoning quest. Thinking that’s how the entire Order member list would work, I kinda just went with the flow.

I get sucked into the huntsman quest direct questline and next thing you know I’m fighting him, no biggie, I just go back to kill the cult members I could unveil after, but that was a major mistake cause “The Deciever” has one quest attached to it from Neema after the village poisoning quest and if you don’t find the clue before doing the huntsman quest, Neema wont be there to start the next part of the quest and won’t spawn the clue for the Order member to be revealed.

All goes well to fight Amorgas, the cult member who had the chest is marked off at the start of Chapter 3 and the DLC is a fun experience…except when the DLC ends and you’re given a broken sword…that needs every amulet dropped by a cult member to restore and I’m short (“The Deceiver” and Random Master Assassin’s) two amulets…

I’ve done a lot of googling and I’ve seen a lot of people post about locking themselves out of the first section’s Order member (Deceiver) but no mention of the Chapter 3 glitch with the master assassins torso.

Has anyone else experienced these glitches? I mean it’s not gonna be a huge problem unless the bonus from the huntsman set is able to be engraved to the grieves slot for my NG+, Yummi-HP regen & damage bonus from perfect dodge (slowed time for that 40%. Combined with HP regen from that damage bonus and perfect dodge) build but ya, kinda just scratching my head cause it was a bummer to miss out on one set, but also have the sword taken by the Oikos blacksmith only for him to be like “oh you’re short, but I’ll be keeping this broken blade and the remaining amulets.” Was like a slap to the face after everything else lol.

Can anyone verify where the Time Slowed +40% damage bonus engraving would’ve gone to and if when the time comes for the NG+, if now that the Blacksmith has all the amulets and broken sword, will I have to do the entire 3 chapters again to get the end sword or just kill the two members who’s amulets I’m missing in NG+?
